For those few insane bunch of you that play low tier Air RB on occasion: The Yak 2 KABB is an absolute hidden gem. 2 Shvaks, 2 Shkas Airspawn Will climb like a monster up until about 4.5km Spitfire-level agile Surprisingly tough to kill, flies easily on one engine Decently fast, but compresses
Chaika is probably the most OP rank 1 plane in the game. It can beat any fighters up to 6.0 if you can bait them to charge at you and dodge, then do a snap turn to shoot the hell out of them. Its seemingly weak belt is actually good at lighting engines and fuel tanks on fire as well as pilot sniping on a turn.
As you are doing Britain next, I thought I'd give some recommendations from a British main (not that you really need my advise, but oh well). 1. The Hampden. Very good performance and an insane low tier bomb load of 4x 1000lb. The gunner arcs are very limited, but there are 4x rear facing machine guns that do a lot of damage. 2. The sunderland mkIII (mkV is 2.0 in rb but not in ab). Decent performance if a bit slow, but can take a ridiculous amount of punishment and still damage enemy planes with the suprisingly powerful gun turrets. The 4x main machine guns are useful for taking out bombers too. 3. The swordfish. It sunk the Bismark. Seriously, if you take it into naval (I take it to 4.0) it is suprisingly useful as a stable, accurate torpedo bomber. You can never "overspeed" the torpedo (in rb at least) and its slow speed makes it highly accurate. It's a great meme too. 4. The sea hurricane. Take this with a pinch of salt, I dont actually own it yet as I have ignored the British naval tree. I do own all the other hurris though, and they are all reliable, good-looking monoplanes with a decent arnament. The mkIIB/trop is basically a seal clubber in a down tier (though it can't make the list) Thats about it. In my experience, the gladiator is a nice, dependable biplane but nothing too special. Hurricane Trop (first one at rank II) has the highest k/d ratio for me. I had a dozen of matches in it, have 9 kills. That thing is op at down tier, and you get down tiered all the time, before it became 2.3.
@@A.i.r_K I love the IIb trop. I got my first ace in it, and as I said, you can get downtired to biplanes, which is really not fair for the biplanes. They get torn apart by the 12x .303s.
4 ShKas with tracers on honestly feels quite scary. I've been harassed by those in my flegels once, had a hard time with it but just getting hit is annoying and scary
Perspective of someone using tracers in AAB is quite cursed to me (stealth is superior in majority of cases). Double ace isn't that much at tier I, I prefer to go for at least a triple ace. My personal favourites are I-153 M-62 (I never carry rockets) and BB-1. Can't wait for rank II video, that's where the real fun is. Always happy to see AAB content on YT.
I love using soviet chaikas, tip: the stealth belt is the best. 9/10 players dont notice you are shooting at them without tracers. They just fly in a straight line. But you have to learn lead and fire
what are some good mid tier soviet planes? Im working my way through the soviets now and i found that the I-185 (M-82) at 3.7 is a good fighter as the 3 20mm shred other planes when i cand land my shots and the Yer-2 (m-105) bomber is a really good bomber with my style of air spawning then diving straight for the enemy bomb targets suually getting there either un noticed or before the enemy fighters/intercepters can catch me and droppng my bombs on 2 bases killing them both with the 4 FAB 500 and 2 FAB 1000 bombs and if im very lucky i can get back to base alive but this is rare. The biggest problem im facing is im lacking direction, im looking around the other nations and alot of your reviews looking for good mid-high tier planes to look forward to and give me a reason to not only play but also motivate me to actually get to the higher tiers

Yeah. Lai Zhou bay is way too small for RB. I'd rather get maps with large elevation changes like Alps.

This doesn't work against any player who has more than 3 brain cells and an energy advantage, which they will have at 2.3+ if they have 3 brain cells.

The Hampden TB variant is able to carry the 4x1000lb with an extra 2x500lb under the wings

If u want prem plane bf109 is a good choice if u don't want to use prem go for a p63 or p47 probably and f4u is good to (my opinion)
