As a dominican, i can confirm that this is a real exposure of the hoods, at my university we all think those guys are cool as hell and really talented at rap, the thing is that they don't have opportunities, so they do crime, but not in their hood or other low-class hoods, instead they rob and kill people from the mid-class, people like me literally admire the talent they can show at art, sports and other things, but at the same time you have to walk fast at night or youre getting robbed by them. They don't care if youre a student, a granny or a mother with your kids, they just think ''nah he has more money than me so ill take everything and maybe stab him so we both have problems.''

as a dominican i can say that the country is progressing very quick, since people from lower classes have moved up to middle classes, and if you go to the capital, or one of the big cities, you will see a lot of luxury cars, it aint all that bad.

I’m a Dominican born and raised there and this is the true life of the hoods in dr now I live in nyc but I never forget where I came from nice job Arab I’m glad u back home safe
Don't generalize, the DR is not only Santo Domingo and its poor slums. For example, in the Cibao at least 60% of the hoods are not like this, decent houses, low crime, many professional people with good salaries for the price of living in the DR. Nowadays even the people who sell food or fruit on the streets of the DR are earning good money. The problem is that in the DR there are many lazy people like criminals from the Santo Domingo slums.
These youtubers also don't show the many rich neighborhoods that there are in the DR today, with so many sports cars that it looks like Dubai.
I've been living in NY for a few years, but I go to the DR every year and stay there 3-4 months, and I perfectly understand how things are there.
"Im glad u back home safe", Just like here in US, in the DR there are dangerous places and places that are not. For example, my neighborhood in Cibao DR was never dangerous, I was never assaulted or robbed.
