This is in my opinion a perfect movie. This movie does exactly what it wants to do, hits every note it wants to hit, and is everything it set out to be. It is truly without flaw

Me and my best friend used to quote that line in master betty’s voice all the time when we were kids 🤣 the fact that it made no sense just cracked us up.
The attention to detail Oedekerk put in this is pretty remarkable and makes it a classic. Every scene hilarious, I can’t think of one joke on this thing I don’t like. Legendary. Great reaction !
Edit: My fav scenes are when Master Tang chokes on a moth, and then seconds later, another moth just happens to fly into his mouth AGAIN and Tang makes the most ridiculous choking noises clearing his throat. 😂
And the other fav is when Master Tang tries to get out of bed. He very slowly gets up and out of bed, but the audio they mixed in is like he broke his spinal cord and he screams in agony.
I can’t watch those scenes and not laugh. I’ve tried. They’re just too good

After the credits for this movie, I didn't realize existed for years. It's hilarious and I cry laughing every time.

Although it is funny that the actress from the original did her own lines here too. The rest were dubbed by Oedekirk and company but she was all in to dub herself

I saw this movie in theaters, When it came out on DVD I bought it, watched all the extra stuff and I probably watched it 200+ times since then. I can do everyone's voices spot on and I've probably memorized 75% of the movie 😂😂😂 It makes me so very happy that everyone can still watch and enjoy this absolute master piece of a film I will never stop recommending it to anyone I ever meet 🤣

My husband just came in the room from work and noticed the name of the movie and one of his reactions where he was facepalming.
He said it was a perfect reaction to it. Lol
This film was my childhood. My sister and I watched it a bunch of times and would quote it ad nauseum. Especially the blood burst scene. Yeah, I'm pretty sure a lot of my humor was because of Kung Pow.
I don't think the cow fight scene was done to pander to a studio or anyone. If anything, it's spoofing how the main character of kung fu movies would just get into random fights throughout. Typically to showcase how far-reaching the villain's control was.
The overdubbing of the original footage was perhaps the best part. Especially the dog.
Definitely a formative comedy.

The same guy made a series of short parody films with all the characters played by thumbs with faces like the tongue in this one. Thumb Wars, Thumbtanic, and a couple others.

Fun fact the guy who stars and directs this movie Steve Oedekerk also directed Ace Ventura When Nature Calls. So it’s funny you mentioned it

When I was a teenager, me, my dad and my brother would have movie night every Friday. When we watched this movie, this scene 4:32had us laughing so hard that we had to rewind the movie because we missed everything after for a solid 3 minutes.

It really is CZcams parody comedy but before its time.
There was make your own Kung Pow film and it was a blast.
It's not nearly as goofy, but if you enjoy a good Kung Fu movie, I HIGHLY recommend Kung Fu Hustle.

i saw this movie when it came out in the theater with my best friend over 20 years ago, twice. today, we STILL quote lines from this movie! most people will say its dumb but those are the ones that dont have a great sense of humor. you have to really look at what this man did with this movie....
he took scenes from an old kung fu movie.
wrote a story being able to use some of the footage.
filmed his own footage to intersect with the old.
wrote a very bad dialog that made no sense, then went back and dubbed over that to make it look like it was an original kung fu movie! (you would need to have the dvd and choose "what they are really saying" as the audio)
this movie is SOOOOO underappreciated!

Great reaction!, may I humbly suggest "What's Up Tiger Lilly". A real Japanese spy movie that was bought by Woody Allen and redubbed into an Absolutely Hilarious Comedy. First of its kind. The main gist is that the recipe for the worlds BEST egg salad has been stolen, and it is up to our loveable scamp of a spy to track it down and bring the culprits to justice. Much love y'all!

A real good time of a movie. Crazy more people haven't reacted to it. One of the only other reactions is a group who weren't smart enough to realize it's a comedy and another is a weird hacked account whose "reaction" is stolen camgirl footage underlaid on clips of the movie. Really strange. Regardless, I don't know if there's a single scene in this movie where SOMETHING isn't quotable.
