    Mechanic is quoting me over 6k to fix the infamous dodge tick, and charging me another $900 bucks just to take it apart. I'm super happy to have found your video. I think I'm going to attempt the rocker arm replacement myself.

      Ya they can get absolutely absurd on pricing. 6k is ridiculous. Remember if I can do it you can do it. Best of luck and let me know how it goes. Thanks for watching!

    Are these rocker arms interchangeable with the 4.0 same procedure?

    Hello just finished watching your video. Great video by the way. I was wondering what you did before you put the assemblies on as far as the lash adjusters go. I have new ones that are spongy. And the old ones are solid. I’m changing the rockers because of the wear on the arms, thanks

      These have auto lash adjusters so you won’t need to set lash or anything. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

    Where did you get your new rocker arm assembly’s from. I got the same issue with my journey but I am on a budget.

      If your on a budget your probably better off getting them off eBay. Usually when it’s more major parts like this I try to make sure to get OEM parts. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

      @@JunkyardJunkie 1 More question, were the rocker arms side specific or are they interchangeable?

    Great video!!!! I have a 2009 dodge charger 3.5L that has a very bad ticking noise at start up one it's running for a couple of minutes noise kinda goes away. So I was thinking it might be my rocker arms. Any suggestions? Where did you purchase your rocker arm assembly? Thanks for the video one again.

      Probably going to be the exact same thing. The chargers had this problem too. First thing I would do is pull your valve cover and look at them and look to see if they have any problems. Then take it from there. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

      Yes sir thank you for your feedback.

      Did you have to soak them in oil or lubricant, or did you just put them straight on as they came?

      Also how can I turn my camshaft to where my intake lobe is sticking up how you mentioned in the video. I'm no mechanic I just like to worry on my vehicles to learn more about them and save some bucks lol.

    How will your car run when you need to replace them??

    • @JunkyardJunkie
      @JunkyardJunkie  Před 3 měsíci

      May have misfires. Most common symptom is a particular noise they make. Just type in 3.5l rocker arm noise. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

      Check engine light on always saying misfire and to lean

    • @JunkyardJunkie
      @JunkyardJunkie  Před 3 měsíci

      I would smoke it make sure you have no air leaks anywhere first. Then go from there

    • @JaySmith-pp4ns
      @JaySmith-pp4ns Před 3 měsíci

      How do you do that?

    • @JunkyardJunkie
      @JunkyardJunkie  Před 3 měsíci

      Got to have a smoke machine to do that. If you have a scanner you can check fuel trims see if it’s running lean on one side or both sides.
