I was going to say that but you got in first… i agree with you. Can’t remember who I heard that term from 🤔 might have been Nick Predomo , not sure but it’s still true
as a cigar smoker myself to be 110% honest i see no issue with this 💀💀💀😭😭😭 you bought it, you enjoyed it, unless it’s like bro in the video said and you’re in a lounge where other people’s experience may be affected it honestly doesn’t matter
I’m no genius but I learned this through experience. I finally realized that simply setting the cigar down in my ashtray is the best and cleanest way to extinguish the cigar. This video is excellent information and I hope it will help others to better enjoy their cigar smoking experience.
I appreciate that advice Sir. I usually smoke outside in my balcony because of my children. But now they my children are visiting family for the summer and will smoke inside on occasions. I now know to allow it to extinguish itself.
I’m very new to cigars. I’ve given up cigarettes totally but I enjoy a nice cigar once or twice a week. And did not know this. I literally did what he’s saying not to do last night 😬
It’s anarchy Let’s get a video on what everyone should try from big name makers or what holts is selling top 20 and are they selling more singles or boxes ?
Does smoking in the room with all the other cigars affect their flavors? I know there’s cellophane wrappers, but I wouldn’t imagine they do all that much
We recommend relighting if you sit the cigar down for up to 30 minutes, the longer you wait the more the flavor of the cigar will be affected and it won’t taste the same
It’s not ideal because the longer a cigar that went out sits, the more the flavor will be affected when you go to finish it. It’s a better idea to enjoy two shorter cigars if you can’t get through a full on
Not necessary, you can just let it go out. Cutting through the middle of a cigar will also wear down your blades faster and can gunk them up leading to issues with future cuts
Do you guys purge your cigars before you set them down? I do that ONLY when I’m letting them go out and I may relight them in an hour or so. I’ve heard the smoke in the cigar will go stale and affect it during a relight…
either that’s jus common sense or ima good guesser bc ive never smoked or researched cigars day in my life n as u started the video i was saying let it go out on its own and then u said it, prolly bc i feel like cigars are “prestigious” and too nice to stub out 😂
I actually got invited by a new group of guys to a cigar bar once. After a bunch of BS "know it all" attitudes and asking for premium bourbons on The rocks, they proceded to stamp out their half smoked cigars in the communial ashtray. I decided never to go out with those guys again. Worse mistake I've ever made.
If I’m ever caught in a situation where I can’t smoke the full length of the cigar, will the cigar be ruined? Will I be able to re-light it at another time to finish it? If so, what should be the proper care for the cigar until I’m able to return to it again?
There’s another cigar etiquette reasoning to do this. A cigar is handmade and another person who has e craftsmanship to create this took the time to make it, you can respect their work by just leaving it and letting it burn out.

Hahahaa
That's a good one
I usually smoke outside, when done I stomp it out with my foot like a cigarette. LOL
Tbh that's a boss move
I smoke crack with my mom
*dusts off shoulders* I feel that one man
You a villan 😂
Good, no need to treat a piece of tobacco like its gold, expensive smokes and brews are just like expensive clothes, not worth it.
Fire insurance is a must lol
I’m new to the scene so I appreciate the knowledge.
Thank you for the information. My cigar educate has really picked up. because of this channel.
glad to hear it 💪
The hose next to the garbage can does the job fine. Or sometimes I throw it in with the charcoal.

As a rookie smoker I've learned so much from listening to you 🙏🏾❤️🙂
Stay tuned and you won't be a rookie for much longer 😉 cheers!
@@holtscigars I plan on it.
Don't be a rookie just quit smoking bro, it's a nasty habit
Just like I do with my iced tea... I set it down, and walk away, and forget its there for at least 2 hours.

Good advice….I always do that…. I’ve seen others do it the incorrect way, and stink up the whole room 😤
💯
So thats why u see that in some video games an impressive detail
I hope in that cigar boxes there ain't some diamonds which Don Salieri wanted.
I love your work
Mate, you were made for shorts. Love every single one of your videos.
Wait! Where are you located, Amigo? The inventory of Fuentes behind you is impressive. 😂😂😂

My algorithm is telling me to start smoking cigars.
Thanks for letting me know
Great for lighting a campfire too!
Snuffing it out literally means to extinguish it. It doesn’t burn longer that makes zero sense.
Of course the guy who sells cigars tells you to leave it burning😂😂😂😂
I literally heard opposite from other major cigar sellers so like I don't know man I feel like it's up to the person
Done that once. I was corrected real quick but politely
never let it walk right through the door with a feeling so pure
Blow the smoke out of the front before you do this! Clear out the tobacco so it doesn’t get ‘stale’ smoke left in the wrap
finally someone said it
What a gentleman, put it down, and walk away 😁😁
I agree the smell is unpleasant, but it absolutely goes out immediately
Ich drück die immer auf meinen Arbeitern aus, geht ohne Probleme 😊
I know No one who ever stomps cigars ever. They respect it too much.
👏👏
This is 100% true, great tip 👍

yep, I'll set it down somewhere and check on it in a few minutes
I tried explaining this to my insurance company after you house burned down, they weren’t having it refused to pay out
I just clip the end with a cigar cutter. I feel it lights better too when you relight it
Tony always tells it like it is. ;)
You know it 🔥
When did your house burn down!
“Oh about two years ago-how did you know that?”
I was punching out my cigars and my shop manager got really offended lol. Notice how I said was... Great video as always!!

Does smoking in the room with all the other cigars affect their flavors? I know there’s cellophane wrappers, but I wouldn’t imagine they do all that much
Check out our short "Can you smoke in a cigar shop?"
After the cigar has extinguished is it still good to come back to? How long after the cigar has gone out can you relight and enjoy?
We recommend relighting if you sit the cigar down for up to 30 minutes, the longer you wait the more the flavor of the cigar will be affected and it won’t taste the same
Thanks a lot you've thought me a lot
Can I put it in a jar to put it out?
I make sure to cut it to 1½ inch in length and store it as a souvenir😂
Not sure if smoking inside odour is the primary concern. Causing a fire is.
Put sand in the ash tray. Stops ash marks when cleaning
I am a newbie I put mine in a aluminum tube. Is that good or bad?
Why not clip the end with the fancy clippers 😅
thats what i do, and save the other half for later
I let it go out by itself and I cut the burnt end of
Leaves a better taste later
But I usually finish my cigar in a sitting
AND BLOW THE STALE SMOKE OUT
If you only smoke half a cigar, can you keep/ store the remaining to smoke at a later future date? And how
It’s not ideal because the longer a cigar that went out sits, the more the flavor will be affected when you go to finish it. It’s a better idea to enjoy two shorter cigars if you can’t get through a full on
I take a pocket knife and cut off the lit end just like my uncle taught me
It’s just like a joint, keep puffin!!
If you stomp it, you cant come back to smoke it. Let it sit.
It also damages the finish on the ash tray
You forgot to blow the smoke out of it
snip the end
Not necessary, you can just let it go out. Cutting through the middle of a cigar will also wear down your blades faster and can gunk them up leading to issues with future cuts
Where do you get your big ashtray
I dipped in water bro. 😂
I just throw mine into the garden bed. It’s goes out in minutes.
What happens when you have to leave from one venue to the next and you still wanna continue smoking?
Put the cigar in a pipe and smoke it fits perfect in a pipe
Do you guys purge your cigars before you set them down? I do that ONLY when I’m letting them go out and I may relight them in an hour or so.
I’ve heard the smoke in the cigar will go stale and affect it during a relight…
So your saying my cigarettes are premium because they go out on there own?
I DON'T SMOKE N THE HOUSE...YES I DO AS U SAY WHEN I'M OUT... OR PUT N A SAVOR...
That's how I lost my first family
The oder of cigars are already not pleasant, how unpleasant can snuffing it out be 😅
Dying with dignity. But if I'm enjoying the cigar enough, I'll put the rest of the last third into my pipe and smoke it all the way down
OCD unfortunately does not afford one the luxury of assuming it went or will go out by itself.
Right so true
either that’s jus common sense or ima good guesser bc ive never smoked or researched cigars day in my life n as u started the video i was saying let it go out on its own and then u said it, prolly bc i feel like cigars are “prestigious” and too nice to stub out 😂

I would argue that cigars always put off an unpleasant odor, snuffed out or not.
Depends on the cigar
I actually got invited by a new group of guys to a cigar bar once. After a bunch of BS "know it all" attitudes and asking for premium bourbons on The rocks, they proceded to stamp out their half smoked cigars in the communial ashtray. I decided never to go out with those guys again. Worse mistake I've ever made.

Cut off the burned tobacco and re-light. You could also dig out the burned tobacco with a toothpick
@@jpatt85, thank you so much for the advice! Have a blessed day!
I grind it out on my arm, but only if I spill paint in the garage
Crazy question. How do you relight a cigar once you put it out? someone Says let it burn out then cut a bit off then relight it
If it goes out you can sometimes relight it if there's still fresh tobacco on the end. If it's all ash, cut it off just behind it and relight.
You don’t even have to do this. I just hold it and take a few puffs every so often and it still goes out on its own. 😂
Been there 😂
How many suits do you have?
Only you can prevent forest fires.
Kramer did that and burned down the cabin
Very true

I snip the end if I'm done smoking it but taking it to go.
What about if you are in a hurry what do you do do you cut the end off?
You can do that
In Latin America (I’m Mexican), it’s a sign of disrespect to the person who rolled the tobacco leaves for you.
Absolutely, thanks for sharing!
Well i smoke cheroots cut in half so when im done i just pet em out in some dudes whiskey😂
I just toss mine over the fence into the neighbors yard.
You gotta blow the smoke out first
