I do have a couple of questions since I am fairly new to this whole ordeal.
So, my Xbox has some thing called LT 3.0. I downloaded all the files you've provided and successfully burned the dvds. Now, I did all of this of my laptop's dvd drive. I presume that its drive is not really the most supported one but to hell with it, I still gave it a shot. So, after 3 burned disc the end result is that my Diablo III only works for like 7 mins and then freezes, my Assassins Creed is operating for around 45mins and then freezes telling me that the disc is corrupt and that it needs cleaning, while the third dvd I've burnt doesn't want to load whatsoever. Now, I presume the problem is in my Laptop DVD drive, and that I will be needing to buy the external Liteon, but still, just wanted to bounce off this idea of you and get a second opinion. Please note that original games still work flawlessly (just finished playing some of the good ol' RDR).

Good Tut. I tend to use CLONECD when burning my XGD2 games and imgburn to burn my XGD3 :)

So Aone and other low end discs wont work with other LiteOn drives but the B revision? How come? Is it the write speed issue only, or something else too?

Great tut man you are aware that lt 2.0 just got patched in the latest dashboard just putting that out there. Anyone who wants to flash there Xbox make sure you use lt 3.0.
No I didn't know that but I just assume everybody uses lt+3.0 now anyway.
I got a question: the burnermax says its not enabled yet maybe cuz my burner is not compatibile on my laptop but still when i go to the imgburn it says the disk size is 8.7 Gb (8.738.897.920)
ive been trying to burn xdg3 without truncate for a while now but i rarely have success,this is my first lot of verbatims instead of ritek but, my buffer goes way up to 1024, much more then ive ever seen on a liteon ...should i put it all the way up ? or leave it at 512

So i just did forza horizon 2012 xbox 360 i assume everything worked as it shows up in the disc tray dashboard box . intro comes on i press start / lets me select single player. goes to the please wait screen stays on for a few mins please wait spinning / spinning , then just gives me the disc is unreadable error ? very strange ? i use the same Verbatims as you .
im using verbatims 8.5gb dual layered dvds,writing it @ 2.4x. it writes successfully, starts the game up and then fails. I dont hav a liteon drive or ihas burner either. im in a bit of a fix, please help???
now i can see, when i press the burnermax button it shows : BurnerMAX not enabled, YET ! what CAN I DO ???

Hey man great tut, can you tell how to take games from the discs and put it on to your hdd? Because i don't want to flash my drive, What i'm doing instead is installing a Demon chip so i can play online (dual nand). If i have a flashed disc reader there would be a risk of getting banned. So my question simply is: Is there a way to copy/move the contents of a backup game to the hdd? So i can play it off the hdd instead

I'm having problems with Memorex DVDs I'm using the auas drive with the burner max payload tool and none of my Memorex are burning properly what is going on they keep catching errors and I throw away 20 DVDs out of a 50 pack and I don't know why this is happening can somebody explain to me why is this happening

I had the same problem with the Titanfall disc too even tried burning at 2.4x and still have same problem...I also tried doing Destiny yesterday...burns perfectly fine...but when I go to play the game it just comes up with 'Disc Unreadable'....I only seem to be having problems doing the XGD3 games...please Help!!

Once the data hits the drive's buffer (which it is doing just fine), your entire system is out of the equation. (With the exception of something like a faulty psu that can't provide enough power to the drive)
The drive and its firmware control every aspect of the burn and the quality of burn you'll eventually end up with. When have you EVER seen burning software say anything in the changelog about improving the write quality on such and such a disc? Exactly, never. That's something you see in firmware release notes.
Doing things like enabling 'Perform OPC Before Write' will change how your drive behaves (internally) and could have a positive/negative effect on burn quality but things like buffer sizes, I/O interfaces, IDE/AHCI etc never will.
*The comment about buffer size not being an issue assumes there are no problems supplying the drive with a steady stream of data - if you're abusing the hdd during the burn, the drive may have to pause now and then until there's enough data for it to start up again. That might introduce a PIE/PIF at the point of relinking but you'd never notice it. You're only burning at about 5.5MB/s at 4x so it's hardly taxing for a modern hdd. The default 40MB buffer will last about 7 seconds without ANYTHING being read from the hdd - and 7 seconds is quite a long time (to a computer) for nothing to happen.

Well great tutorial, I have been burning xdg3 games since it was released and always used Aone gold edition. I didn't know you could change the speed to 2.4, anyways am burning wolfenstein now. I will let you know if it works for me.

iMaSiLlYcLoWn it worked great, the quality of the burns are alot better as well. I set it up on imgburn as the sames as your tutorial on the vetrain discs and burn them in safe mode. But great video and over the moon with the results, thnx

***** That's part of it but the issue with XGD3 is that there is an extra 1GB of data that needs written to the disc making an XGD3 Game 8.6GB in size, and most disc burners will only burn 8.5GB of data to the disc as that is the limit the disc drive will burn up to. So that will prevent most disc drives from burning XGD3 games as they wont fit on the disc. That's where burnermax firmware comes in, if your disc drive is supported by the burner max payload tool, you can use it to load burnermax firmware to your drive, which will allow it to burn up to 8.7GB allowing an XGD3 game to be written to the disc. XGD2 games and older were only 7. something GB's and could fit no problem without burnermax. That's the main difference.

i burned titianfall to a dvd-r 8.5gb DL disk and it seemed to burn fine without any problems and when i put it in my LT 3.0 xbox it read the disk as the game and let me loaded it up to main menu and when it was putting me in a game it came up disk not readable... i dont have a ihas or a lite-on pc drive
That means you got a bad burn. Just try again maybe change up your IMGburn settings and make sure your burning at 2.4x
It's only supports 4x burn speed and up, my drive didn't have a problem with burnmax and no errors came up when burning, I don't have a liteon drive in my pc and my drive isn't on the working or non working list but still burns fine just doesn't support 2.4x is there anything I can do? Like mod my drive to support 2.4x?
You could try searching for a firmware editor for your drive like MediaCodeSpeed edit to change the write speed to 2.4x. But you need to have a flash utility that will flash your firmware to the drive. It might be easier for you to just get verbatim discs.
