Who cares about the support vehicles, that is not the main point enjoy the video and let it gooo!!! Thank you guys for describing how I feel sometimes and that is exactly the same reason I love riding and getting away to discover new frontiers!!
Now i see the video and yes it is not bikepacking like that with the support vehicle jajaja I AGREE
This is definitely a bucket list trail. Thanks for sharing the story
This is amazing im 15 and live in England and that is the exact mindset i have so i dont really like the people around me i just wanna get out and come to places like these...
Doing this ride in May outta CO, can't wait.
If you have a support vehicle it's not bike packing
Yup. It's glamping, which is a ton of fun, but this is real bikepacking: czcams.com/video/LH7s_HPVNXg/video.html and this: czcams.com/video/P88L0mySkpo/video.html
deep revolutions these dudes have but I’m just here looking at the route.
Very cool video. I completely agree with adventure clearing your mind. Great bonding experience with friends too.
The mantras about being in the moment, controlling what you are able to control, and living for happiness are beautiful ideas. Thanks for the reminder. Peace!
Great video on a mindset more people should take. We have added it to our Favorite Bikepacking Video playlist! 👍
bikepacking....with support vehicles, hmmmmm.
Kris Charlton yeah, isn't that just a bike ride?
Kris Charlton ummm yea definitely 2nd that
yeah that is pretty weak
Sounds perfect to me. No fun riding around with a bunch of junk on bike.
🤣🤣 busted?
Support vehicle? I've been doing this all wrong.
Thanks for the vid......Im going on 60 and planning to do this ride on my BMX bike. Want something exciting? There is a trail that starts at Silverton Casino in Vegas and goes to Death Valley (125 miles/stop at Beatty,Nevada Hotel/Casino), then you go on another trail around Death Valley (125 miles)and stay at Death Valley hotel and a different trail to return to the Silverton (125 miles). Its weird because you only cross pavement only a handful of times and its usually some gas station in the middle of nowhere. The cool part is the stops are all at hotels/casinos or just regular hotels. Great chance to recover in the hot tub, feast on a buffet and sleep in a bed. Its a real challenge because get this...some of the old timers actually do the entire ride with a roll chart! Of course some of these guys have done it so many times they dont even need it. 375 miles, mountains, sand, rocks, beathtaking scenery, temps that can reach over 115, creatures from Gila monsters to mountain goats and everything in between.....its pretty much heaven.
I can’t wait for summer😢. I plan on doing some serious Bikepacking. So excited. This video only hypes up my excitement. Well done boys, well done👍👍
My new found interest; bicycle touring; motive; to get back and reconnect with God; the inner cities don't offer that; plants, animals, dirt, mountains, cliffs, rocks, etc are not manmade, they are created by God. Bicycle touring is a spiritual retreat for myself too. God does not sustain vanities, but the human soul and teach and guide it to be good and wise in life.
love it
Damn this is a great video!
Dope.
Great video and mindset. I donated some blood to the slickrock in Moab back in 2001... Making plans for a return trip because of your video! Thanks for sharing and hope the Bikepacking bag business takes off for you.
great vid gentlemen!
I'm inspired . Just finished bikepacking from Maricopa to the GrandCanyon. I felt like a child again.
awesome
This is my favorite trail in the world. We had a helicopter fly in food and water because we had a scheduled meet up with our food truck but never showed up.
Outdoor Life...fer shur!!!
rad video
If everything goes smooth, there is much less interesting stuff to talk about later ;)
I enjoyed the video. But can't really consider this bikepacking.
Still fun though.
Crow Peak Brewing hat! In my hometown, Spearfish SD.
So much wisdom here!
Oh yeah, it's all abt being out there and not crave the latest material thing... except for $4k bikes...
You have a support vehicle guys… It's not that much of an adventure. Do it solo!
Shut up hippie.
I know right. My bike is a starter and It was $800 Diamondback.... people were calling me crazy, but I have no ragrets lol. I will later get a 2.5k bike lol. Maybe this is why I'm still single.
support vehicle? seems like they are speaking out of both sides. Is this bikepacking? seems like a bit of bullshit to me. These guys want to find adventure but get all freaked out because the "support vehicle did not show up.
Support vehicle!!!
so many haters on here lol jeez appreciate the video and move along.
Kulshan brewery FTW!
Can you make a 20L seat bag?
Didnt know keemstar cycled
I love to "be" out there. No Strava for me.
How does recording your ride on Strava make it more virtuous than people that do?
3:13 - 4Runner rock. I have the exact same truck.
2:02 - what is wrong with your fence?!
The things you're speaking of is transcendentalism. Ralph Waldo Emerson, in the 1830s spoke some of the same; leave your chamber, walk through the mean streets of the city and walk to the gate of the forest, open the gate and walk in.
I wanna go back and ride, but I'm recovering from a knee injury 😭
I want to be different so I grew a beard just like everyone else. I don't want money yet have the most expensive gear on the market and a support vehicle. These videos are proof of why us old geezers (55) think there are no real men left out there...
"Ride a little slower"!
The guy at the end said he wanted to savor the moment and ride slower.....why ride a skinny mtb then? A fat bike would have been a lot funner
There are people THAT DO THE KOKOPELLI TRAIL IN ONE DAY. REBECCA RUSCH DID IT IN 13 ½ HOURS. Just a bit of perspective.
This isn't bikepacking.
A few dudes riding really expensive rigs talking about the simplicities of life, stressing out over the lack of a support vehicle in the great outdoors. Hah... why are these "grown men" so soft???
Support vehicle? LOL!!
what u call is just discomfort prepare for your trail. youare not the first tourists
Without there support vehicle all they had was a camera crew and 3 grown men all freaked out. Soft pampered men.
Oh man how! On has wanted always for this with to do it. To has for do this to the United Stateses? Can on for this when you are living with Hungry to it. Has anyone with this one for being to Europe? As for like this one on. Thanks to you please when to tell me with Europe do this! Nice days!
google bikerpelli. hard to do this ride on your own.
support vehicle? lame.
Why didn't they have air cover. Also they need to get over themselves.
SUPPORT vehicle? LOL
scaring yourself?? You had support vehicles! Being scared to share a sleeping bag is not a real fear! People have to do the 9-5 to afford all that expensive bikepacking gear!
I guess I don’t need to tell you this isn’t bike-packing because everyone in the world already did. I’ve done that ride self supported and I don’t think these guys have what it takes.
Great vid, but I kind of with this were more servicey and went step by step through how to do the ride unsupported. And maybe next time not just three white dudes? Women like to ride bikes too.
Nice video, but you take 5 minutes to get to the Kokopelli Trail which is the subject of your title. This is not a video about the Kokopelli Trail, should just call it "142 Miles From Monday, A Mountain Bikers Guide to Beards." Great content and editing otherwise! B+
So if I have this straight..you do NOT carry your food, sleep system, or water?!??
Do you understand the concept of bikepacking? You’re simply doing supported mountain bike rides
Good video, but would have been nice to see more actual riding, and less talking
Lol at these guys talking about being out there alone when only the camera crew shows up at camp and not the sag wagon... What is this dude doing making bikepacking gear when he's not even bikepacking? This is weak stuff.
this was a total waste of time Click bait nothing Certainly not bikepacking you forgot the water bed LOL
Weak!
this shit isnt bikepacking. its car camping where you ride a bike
FYI A bunch of Smelly Hippie Girly talk for the first 5 minutes. You have been warned.
this is preachy AF
If these guys had any dignity left (assuming they had any to start with), they'd delete this embarrassing video ASAP. "Scaring yourself...and finding the meaning in everyday life." Are they *&^%$# serious?
