- A look at some of my most favourite Adult Colouring books, These aren't all new books (In Publishing terms) but they have been all new to me during 2022.
They are all books I've loved working in, and will continue to develop more (hopefully!😁😉🤞)

Hi. You're the only other person I've seen who has the Francesa Rossi "Alice" book. Most of the coloring books I like don't seem to be that popular so I'm always happy to see someone who has the same books. Also, I wasn't familiar with Wayne Anderson so thank you for the introduction. Cheers. 😄
I think the Frances Rossi book is super, a really lovely illustration style. I think Doodle Robot has just got it as well, so you might see it pop up on her channel soon as well. Oh yes I'd totally recommend the Pictura Wayne Anderson, paper is lovely, and really unusual drawings. I've not seen if he's done anything else, but I really love looking at this book. Wonderful little world is my fave due to the paper quality as well as the illustrations. Superb purchase. My most fave is ‘Magical Dawn’, just adore Hanna Karlzon’s artwork. If I was on a desert island I’d definitely take Magical Dawn with me.
Wonderful Little world is a great book, I like all of the series of these, I've just managed to get hold of the first one, and it's so lovely. The paper is great, it's nice not worrying about whether something is blending though. I'm in total agreement on Magical Dawn, it's my most favourite book, I think, I have months that I don't colour it, but I always happily go back to it. 👍

I need to start writing down the pages I do. I'm also a slow colourer, I love using pencils but one page can take me days.

I'm not a great writer, hence why I mainly photograph them, but I do like having a book I can flip though and visually see what I've got done. It just works for me. (I'm not sure its not just an excuse to buy cute stickers!🤣) I'm not speedy at colouring, I'm much quicker than I used to be, but I think I have more stuff for backgrounds, and that really helps speed up the process. I always used to hand colour all backgrounds, and that can take me ages. Thanks for watching, hope the organising is going well, and you aren't working too hard, x 💗

Thank you so much for sharing all your beautiful books with us and your favorites. You did a wonderful job coloring pages. I am nowhere near as good as you, but it still takes me a long time to color. I started coloring last year and so I can usually do between two and three pages a week that’s about it for me, but it does relax me and I do enjoy doing hugs and kisses from grandma, Sandy and Debbie.
Thanks so much Sandy, yes relaxation was the reason I started, it just gives my brain a bit of downtime. The speed doesn't matter, just the pleasure, x I have just found I've got quicker over time, so its a bit easier than it was to get more done. Thanks for watching, x ❤️

I just stumbled across your video and I have to say I've been colouring for a few years now and naturally follow alot of colourists but jeeze lady you have some imagination, your work is amazing. I can't wait to see more. Xx

I love Vintage My Room. I haven’t colored in it much but it does have great paper. I have the Doll House book, also. Love international coloring books!! ❤😊
One of my total favourites, paper is great, takes a bit of water well. Try some of the smaller bits in it to get you going in it. 👍 Yes, I'm the same I love a good international book arriving, they always feel so special, x ❤️👍
Lovely video Wendy , the Pictura one is definitely on my wish list, I’ve loved it ever since you showed it and the inspirational pictures you printed off of rust . Despite all the books I’ve bought my Rita Berman books have become some of my favourites and I think it’s because they can be challenging ( which I like ) but the size is not overwhelming . I’m definitely going to use my watercolours more this year . I love your videos thank you for all your hard work putting the videos up x
Thanks Charity❤️ I don't work in Rita's books enough, I totally agree about her work being a bit challenging, they do always take me a lot of time, there is a surprising amount of detail for such small pages. I'm with you on the watercolour challenge as well, I've got a couple of sets I want to try to use a bit more, I can be a bit controlling, which is tricky with watercolour, as its not really something you can control!🤣 Thanks so much for watching, the work involved in a video, is worth it when I know people are watching, x❤️💗

Btw; did you have any binding issues with your copy of Vintage My Room? I read a few complaints of that kind on Amazon saying it fell apart on a few people; and I am really wanting to purchase it as it’s currently only $21.11 on Amazon US….but not if it’s going to dismantle itself right away lol….had that issue with books by IDW publishing like Alan Roberts Beauty of Horror and Smithsonian Dinosa. Thanks!
Been following your channel for a while now. Your work is absolutely stunning. Circle of life book as been in and out of my basket about five times now, every flip through looks more and more overwhelming. My favourite is also Hannah Karlzon.

WOW love your color choices first video I’ve seen of yours! The colors are so rich! What medium do you use?
Hi Les, thank you, I mainly work in coloured pencil, normally Luminance or Holbein, but I do use other brands of coloured pencils. I also like a bit of metallic watercolour, and always use some acrylic paint (normally in pen form) on most pieces. Thanks so much for watching, x 👍
Love your pages! I just found you on YT and love the colouring work you do. Some of your art contains parts that have more of a shine than other parts, sort of metallic. What sort of pens do you use to get that effect? I have only used coloured pencils so far but would like to try some new pens or pencils.
Thanks so much, very kind of you, x I use metallic watercolour quite a bit in backgrounds, and gel pens like Signo sparkling. Not all books will take the watercolour but you can sometimes get away with a little bit. x ❤️👍
I love them all!! That Vintage Room! I'll end with it at some point and it will be your fault. I too love the kitchy style. It speaks to my inner 70s child. Then... I stopped the video to put the Alice book in my cart - again. Because I like that quirky, folk arty style. I had been good and not purchased it when you showed it in your haul video! Ooops, Sorry!☺️ I think I am responsible for too much tempting people to buy. On the plus side they are both lovely books, paper is super in Vintage, and the drawings are bit unusual in the Alice book. (paper is ok, but nothing special) I think its out of print, so its a good one to get if you can still see it somewhere. Just hope it arrives ok to you, mine is a bit damaged, as I got it from Malaysia, but nothing I couldn't live with. I'm with you though, You Tube is very dangerous, I'm still trying to pay for Christmas spending, so have been good, but watching other peoples Christmas stuff, did not help me trying to not spend. Joy of car insurance to pay as well now, so no spend will continue unless its super cheap stuff. 😉 Hope you are good, x🖖👽
Lovely books. I've been trying to get my hands on Vintage My Room since I first saw it on your channel but it only ever seems to be available on Etsy or Ebay for £silly so I'm not having much luck. I'll keep trying though because every time you feature it I want it more and more 😆

The pencils you used in Enchanted Forest wouldn't be Lightfast because they have no numbers, just names. 😊
Oops! good spot, probably means I'm even more of an idiot and didn't even write down which ones of those I was using. Think the list will be luminance, but getting the pages the same will be tricky I think. 👍

Hi Terry, Thanks for asking, xx I've done a couple, but not many, to be honest they just weren't getting views, and they do take ages to film, so it just didn't seem worth the time. Hi Eva, sadly I can't see it available anywhere at the moment, even 70 east books don't have any stock, or any of the etsy shops. Amazon.com, did have some stock, but they seem sold out as well. I'm so sorry, hopefully it will pop back up again, but sadly it isn't a new book, so who knows. If I see it anywhere I'll try and let you know, x 🤞
