All the Lewisetta brushes was super cute too. You have fun in beautiful high end pieces. I guess maybe I should start looking for a few of these things to buy for my collection. The nice thing about it is you get to a certain point of having so many books you don’t want to have them falling over on each other, but can’t find them. Some of these items maybe I should start thinking about purchasing maybe next year. I figure by then I’ll have so many books to color those doses by any books next year . Next year I will be buying some new different things and sharing the books I have colored don’t want to have too many new books maybe next year I’ll buy two or three that I really grabbed me and that’s it and just buy supplies. I did love this book it was so cute especially with a little mouse looking out with the binoculars that was probably one of my favorite pages on that book and it’s great. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one where it’s a story and you can color it thank you so much my dear friend, for sharing this wonderful to book.
All the smaller coloring book was really pretty and I might want to buy two or three of those cause I get overwhelmed with the pages are too big and they take so long it would be nice to have something it doesn’t take 2 to 3 days to color and I love it that the background is already been done for me. It makes the pictures pop so well if they have a nice background.
And I love that it came also with a couple little pictures to color to get the handle of how they look and they weren’t too many pictures so you could actually finish it and have something to share with her this week or two maybe maybe a month for me
Hi Wendy! I have also the Dahl 133 when a pencil is sharp you hear and feel the sharpner get “loose” and then it is finished. Take a couple of cheap grafit pencils and try it out. You should hear and feel the difference.
Hiya Linda, Perhaps Ive got an odd one, mine just seems to keep sharpening, I'm used to the Derwent one going loose, and you can hear/feel the change, but this one just seems to keep going. I'm ok with it now I know that what its doing, but the first pencil in, took a bit of a hit! (Wishing it wasn't a Holbein!😉 ) I've been using it a lot, but it just keeps going!🤣 Its just too keen. I'm still delighted with it though, sharpens so nicely, wish I'd got it ages ago. ❤️👍

I haven’t had very good luck coloring with watercolors yet, but maybe my trouble is I just need to work with some more and get better working with them a baby get a better quality product might also help. Thanks for sharing this little case your friend got at work I couldn’t believe how pretty it was and everything all organized and one small space easy to transport when you have dead time and you have time to color. Thanks for sharing so many great products with us today.
You can adjust the sharpness level at the back of the dahle sharpener, which means then you can get keep going until it stops and it won't have gone too far
Thanks Laura, mine seems to not want to stop whichever setting I put it on, thankfully I'm ok with it now I know, its was just the first time I expected it to stop, but it didn't!🤣 Its ate have a Holbein before I realised!😂 I'm loving it, its a super sharpener, I'm never going back! Oh my gosh, I have plenty of gel, pens and none of my steps looking like this is supposed to been a good expensive set really good quality I can’t wait to hear how you like telling what that baby I will buy a set of them. Your videos are always interesting and well thought out. I will put my usual question out here after seeing the part on the MechanicalWomen: why are there so limited images of men in adult coloring books. In many books there are no males of any age. When there are males, they are often very old, or villainous, or otherwise not particularly interesting. Also, the imbalance shows as the ratio is often about ten women for every man. Even in coloring books where there is a base in some form of printed literature, there is often this imbalance though the source material is not imbalanced. Do our coloring artists not know how to draw men. Do they think that there is something less worthy in an image of a male. And do they think about how this lack of male images may discourage young men who may have latent artistic talent to feel that it is "unmasculine" for them to want to color or otherwise develop that talent. Just a question.
Thanks Wilson, Hopefully I try!🤞 Yes I totally agree, very little male images out there, I'm guessing it comes from the idea that its a hobby that more women seemed to be involved in, but even then, that doesn't stop us wanting to colour a male image. I'm guessing they just go for what they think will sell, but its definitely a bit of a hole in the market. A good male based book is needed, or even a more balanced male/female book. Actually as a textile teacher I have the same issue in the classroom, trying to find good male resources for textiles can be tough, and much harder than it should be. Perhaps get an email in to some of the bigger colouring book publishers, might be worth pushing them in the right direction. 👍 Great point, x
Fun haul! I've just received 2 of the Gudrun Hall (AI generated) books: Fairlandia and Scenes from the Forest. I really like the imagery, but I don't think they'll be to everyone's taste. Especially because they have little glitchy patches of lines and shapes that seem to not be related to the main image. I guess some people also take issue with the AI aspect, preferring to support art by actual, talented humans. I get it, but since I buy plenty of that, I don't feel guilty having a handful of the AI stuff.

Hiya, I generally put tracing paper in between pages as its a bit more lightweight than a normal paper. I don't use any special brand, just any amazon one will do. You can get different types, some have some more papery feel, some more plastic type surface. Normally the papery stuff is cheaper, but I think I prefer the other type. If you aren't sure have a nosey at some in your local art shop, I think I'll picked mine up at Hobbycraft, but mine are years old. Hths, ❤️

I do think its better to have a few books that you really love, and can focus on colouring, you don't need loads, love what you have, x❤️

Watercolours can be tricky, and you can't use them in lots of books anyway, they can ruin the paper. Thanks for watching, x 👍
