Captain Beefheart, eat your heart out as Sandoz lay out manic shouting, monologuing, and truths. I've had this since 2012 or so and have returned to quite often over the years. I refrained from uploading it because another user already had, but that video has been taken down so here this is. As heady as any great in Can, or Amon Duul II, "Pay Attention" lacks the pedigree of those, but it makes up with passionate vocals, wonderful repetitious psych, and the aforementioned truths (Well I ain't strong; see bad things in others, it's a reflection of yourself; Don't hide your you from your brothers). A classic I have never stopped listening to since first encountering it. The 1995 release comes with a wonderfully colorful biography of the band and its members. A transcription of it is included in the download that should open with any word processor, but here is a pastebin for your convenience:

    Blue mist
I hate to see you shiver
We sent a lot of freaks down the river today
    Blue mist
I hate to see you shiver
We sent a lot of freaks down the river today
    You missed
    I'm here to deliver
The one and only relaxation giver
    Blue mist
I hate to see you shiver
We sent a lot of freaks down the river today
    Down the river today
You get home you can say
    Sandoz done took you away
Don't hide your you from your brothers
Or you'll end up waking in Hell with the others
Don't hide your you from your brothers
Or you'll end up waking in Hell with the others
Waking in Hell with the others
We can see you, ya hide that skin
Let us in, let us in
    Go within 'em
    Soiled of sin
If you let us in, let us in
    Let it in
Let it all in in (yeah!)
    Go within
    Soiled my sin
See bad things in others, it's a reflection of yourself
See bad things in others, it's a reflection of yourself
    Soar to space, mister!
    Guarded by a [???]
    Goes within
    In ya, in ya
    I AIN'T STRONG
    Well I ain't strong
Someday I might learn right from wrong
    And your road is swallowed
Send me some help to get along
A light bandit in your town
    On arrival I was greeted
By a smile that was hiding a frown
I've been framed by your [???]
I've taken all of your pushing around
You know my body and brains are broken now
And your mark on my skull says clown
Deep inside I shake with joy
Now my souls is onward down
    'Cause the higher we go
The nearer we get to the ground
    The higher we go
Nearer we get to the ground
    Cannot set love down
    Your long long distance telephone
    Confide in fellow prisoners
We each must go our own way alone, alone
    Got it down [???]
We don't need to talk no more
    [???] this world devour
If you stay, you'll drown it out
I'm going to find my way out
Past the point of no return is where we seem to be
Way beyond the stars I see
    The final destiny
    Way beyond the stars
    Something's calling, calling, calling
    You and me
    DEMI-GOD
I'd like you to meet Mr. Demon Demi-God
    Who's really full of funk
And is conducting the experiment in which you are a guinea pig
    Million miles cobweb
    Sun-sized spider
    In you go
    Hello mister, whoever you are
Glad to see you swimming 'long here with us
    Hello mister, wherever you been
Glad to see you caught the right bus
    Don't talk about - you're in trouble
    'Cause we don't care
    No, we don't care
That's the way it was taught to me
    We got scars
    We all must share
    We all must share
    We all must share
And with the universe to share
Why can't we share a single planet
    With the universe to share
    Reason to stay
You better give us reason to stay or we may go astray
You better give us reason to stay 'cause we can't hold on much, much, much, much, much, much longer
    [???]
    It's a long, long way
Just what you was thinking just the other day
And you thought your little boy was just going astray
    He's right
    You was just blowing away
    Long way
    It's a long, long way
It's a long, long, long, long, long, long way
    I'd like you to meet
    Mr. Demon Demi-God
    Who's really full of funk
And is conducting the experiment in which you are a guinea pig
I'd like you to meet Mr. Demon Demi-God
    Who's really full of fog
And is conducting the experiment in which you are a guinea pig
    You are a guinea pig
    Welcome to Planet Earth
    [???]
I'd like you to meet Mr. Demon Demi-God
    Who's really full of funk
And is conducting the experiment in which you are a guinea pig
Are we a guinea pig, Mister?
Tell me, are we your guinea pig? Oh, mister
    You're alien at times
    What did [???] find?

Nice review on the tab.... but you seem to have missed mention of The Edgar Broughton Band, The Deviants and The Pink Fairies!
These chaps are very much in the same ball park. Many thanks for posting this old boy. Your selection of uploads is most fine muckeroo.

"Captain Beefheart eat your heart out"???? I think not. This is a great record, but let's not go overboard by comparing to the Captain. The similarities are present for sure, but as much as I really really like this, the captain and his/the magic band need not fret.
