      That Toronto bull permeates well outside that cesspool. The rest of Ontario and to another degree the country, wind up paying for those idiots. Seems to me that we might be well to throw that city out of the country if they don't get their s4it together.

      Toronto is loaded with lefties. I was born and raised there but I could see the writing on the wall and got out. Let them pay for what they voted for. They can vote her out if they don't like the increase. As a lefty, she is going for 10% a year for the coming years. I think that Torontonians collectively would rather pay more as they value the leftist agenda.

    What would you expect from the wife of the late Jack Layton, the former head of the federal NDP? Lower taxes? Toronto knew her politics, knew her socialist views, so please, Toronto, don’t cry. Rejoice that this is who and what you voted in. And when 40% of Toronto votes for her again, I will have no pity. As they say, you get what you vote for, and I saw this coming.

    • @lavernekeller2283
      @lavernekeller2283 Před 4 měsíci

      @@glenrodrigue8269 yep the so called 'equalization payments' that TurdDough Sr enshrined in legislation to benefit his home province the corrupt thieving Queerbek who've also been allowed to hold sway over the national narrative for far far too long. When Ontariowe became a 'have not' province during the 2007-2008 recession they too tapped into that money and continue to do so, though Queerbek still gets the lions share of it. Thus we need to have some major discussions regarding the money that is transferred from the productive western Provinces, as well as the amount of control that Queerbek is allowed to have over the rest of us, which must be removed from them asap to force them to become a true equal member of confederation or lose every little bit of power they have forever. Especially since nearly ten years ago they are NO longer a have not province being able to balance their budget all on the backs of the western provinces particularly Alberta an Saskatchewan due to our oil wealth that was stolen away by successive liberal or Progressive conservative federal governments and only just started to be corrected under Harper. The west in fact has far more reason to be focused on separation from confederation than Queerbek as we've been exploited by the same Laurentian elites since we first entered confederation after being divided into two separate provinces by the then Lieberal Queerbek based PM. So time for the rules governing this confederation of provinces and territories to be rewritten giving more power to the separate governments and limiting the power of one or two provinces and the federal governments opportunity to use and exploit the wealth and productivity of the other eight provinces and three territories along with making sure that all are given equal parliamentary seats, and power compared to the federal government. The feds should only be looking after the most essential federal responsibilities like national defense, health standards, and social service standards but not the funding of those unless it's a completely 50/50 split between the provinces and federal governments as originally intended. Thus removing the taxation and spending abilities of new and existing federal governments. Wouldn't you agree that it's better to let the provincial and territorial governments be allowed to make the important decisions that would effect their citizens instead of the remote and out of touch federal government thus ensuring that the locals make the choices what would be made the spending priorities like the infrastucture and social programs instead of the out of touch feds? Secondly the electorate we who vote for the governments should be allowed the power of a recall vote if any or all politicians don't work to secure our wants and needs, and to right of recall of any federal politician or party from power in other words it wouldn't be the politicians in parliament or the regional legislatures that would be making the choice but the majority of we who are their employers and bosses to make the choice about who retains power ever.

    The City of Toronto, under Mayor Olivia Chow, has become "The Dead Beat Dad". The Dead Beat Dad that complains and cries that he cannot afford to pay his court ordered alimony and child support payments, yet he's driving a brand new luxury vehicle and manages to take his new girlfriend on a vacation to the Bahamas. Always threatening the people of Toronto that spending restraint will result in service cuts. We want service cuts. We don't want service cuts to police, fire, ambulance, road maintenance, clean water supply, waste removal, nor the dozens of other essential services that the city is charged to supply to us. The Mayor never talks about the thousands of other expenditures that are made with tax payer dollars, that are not essential. Would the city crumble if millions are not spent to rename Dundas Street? Will the city stop moving, if a 3 year moratorium were to be declared on the construction of new bike lanes? A moratorium on the installation of speed bumps and traffic calming planters, just until the budget is balanced and the debt is cleared? Could we possibly survive if the spring planting of flowers in parks and streetscapes were reduced by 50% until the debt is cleared? Don't ever underestimate the the $30 thousand dollar cost of a single speed bump. This budget is a "business as usual budget" at the expense of the struggling tax payer.

    TTC subcontractors with red vests are hired through agencies, get paid minimum wage for a truly exhausting job, and are not allowed to resolve conflicts that are the responsibility of TTC supervisors, special constables, or the police. Plus it's mostly kids who have difficulty putting a few words in English into a sentence. The training for this job is very minimal and they too are at risk. All they have is phones for protection, and back in the day these customer service folk would get in a lot of trouble for even looking at their phone to check the time. It's a ridiculous job. It's better to talk to a TTC operator or supervisor if you feel unsafe. And even then it's a joke. (I speak from experience) Call the police and wait, or run for your safety. * Chow is so delusional she's putting even more people's lives at risk on the TTC. Is it a joke? The 9.5% is outrageous.
