Filming style: a no-brainer, John. The style where the pots come easy and are full. So stiay with the original.
Haha. I wish I’d thought of that. 🤣🦀🦞
Hi John, another cracking trip out.
The thing that bothers me is if someone is prepared to haul your pots, then they will have taken undersized crabs and Lobsters.
Thank you again for a great day out.
On top of being illegal (I would imagine) to harvest someone else's catch, it is so extremely disrespectful. I can't even imagine being that way. I'm glad you don't let it get to you much and keep your attitude so positive. You and the whole Fish Locker family bring an incredible amount of happiness, knowledge, and general positivity in the world and I truly look forward to your uploads. I appreciate you
Getting bent out of shape on anger wouldnt help me in any way, it would just ruin my day.
@@TheFishLocker As Bobby McFerrin said, Don't worry, Be happy.
Couldn’t put it better myself Dan ,thankfully John is a good guy.
Thank you great comment .
@@TheFishLockercould u start using tie wraps to to “lock” the traps shut in the future to try n stop ppl from stealing out of ur traps again?? Xxx
Best to watch after a Long working day
Thank You
I hope you enjoyed it 🦞🦀
@@TheFishLocker yes i did
You are so knowledgeable and smart
I don’t know about that, I’m just sharing what I love doing.
Both were great.......
Thank you Julie.
best fishing content on th web
Thank you mate.
everything is fine and ok ❤
Thank you.
Winner winner Lobster dinner 🦞🦞🦞 xxx
Yes yes 🦞
Glad you managed to get out as my fishing trip got cancelled due to the weather. People who steel from other people's hard work should be ashamed of themselves. Well done with your catches.
The weather hasn’t been kind has it!!
No it hasn't, but hoping to get out tomorrow
@@TheFishLocker- John - were you able to entice the local dive club to help you recover your missing gear [pots] from last season?
These are my favorite videos. The second angle of the videos are best.
Thank you. 😉👍🏻
Sea Pikeys ! Who would have thought .
🤷🏻♂️
Good meal coming soon.Poachers exist mate, nothing we can do.Keep enjoying your craft, and thanks for the content John.We look forward.👍👍 Also John, thank you for returning the close ones. Most fisherman don't not realizing the consequences over time
you are a credit to what we love!
Folks like that get caught sooner or later.
It seems like a lot of back breaking work, frustration and fuel for 2 lobsters. Keep up your spirit, mate!
I liked both camera views man, which ever suits the situation best is the one I’d go with🤘🏼
Thanks mate.
See toe rags are at it again John,, another great video .thank you for all your efforts
My pleasure Steven. Any time. 😊👍🏻🦞🦀
Thank you again for the video best wishes to everyone down there.
First string angle 👍
😉👍🏻
Best camera angle was the first one
Thanks Chris.
Stay with the standard shot. Great video again.
Thanks Mike. 👍🏻
Thanks John! Great show!
My pleasure.
Mon the Budgies! 🦜🦜
Smugglers?
@@TheFishLocker haha sorry couldn't help myself with that. Watching you on the tele as I write this! Could watch you all day so keep up the good work! Give me a shout next time your back up Skye.. all the best 👍
Good afternoon John. Both camera positions work well. I doubt the thieves will be too concerned about the minimum landing sizes, with any luck they might drop themselves in it when the get back to shore. Good pair of lobsters none the less. 👍👍
People like that get found out mate.
I couldn't find any notable difference. on the camera John, hope your not disappointed. Apologies for forgetting to add it in my first reply .
Big Effort !!!
BIG EFFORT!!
Great video again john
Cheers Phil.
Thanks
Hey John, I never comment on anyones videos but I'll make an exception this time. I live pretty close to you would like to thank you for helping me learn a little extra about fishing, pots and even cooking... Would love to pop by and grab some merch but I'll save it for the shop. Look after yourself!
It’s my pleasure mate, and thank you for the comment. Best thing to do about merch is send me a PM on the Fishlocker Fb page. 👍🏻
Okay boss, I'll drop you a message now. Talk soon!
just brill great job love it
Enjoyed this video,
Superb video John ,a pity about the scroats raiding your pots , as you know up here in Gods county we have ways of dealing with this lol
Scumbags in every walk of life mate sadly.
Another great video John, having gummy shark & chips tonight 4 dinner. Happy catching from AUSTRALIA Nick
Enjoy. 😊👍🏻🦈
Some you win and.... Hey Ho! Bad luck about the thieving 'whatname' John but pleased for the family that you got two lobsters. (Yum!!)
Your question ref the camera angle..?? I think I still prefer the 'old way' 😉😊. Tight Lines my friend!
That’s what I’m hearing from most people Mike. 😉👍🏻
Hi for me the second shots are the best I can see into the pots
Thank you.
My forearms are burning just watching you haul those pots...
I like either angle. Do whatever is easiest on you. Keep up the awesome vids.
Many thanks for sharing this wonderful content with us. The second camera angle is better. Kind regards, and greetings from Africa.
Nice catch. two legal lobsters.
Perfect. 👍🏻🦞🦞
I highly suggest you do what I used to do.
Instead of a pot I would put a cement block and paint 'Caught you POACHER" on the cement block.
Wish I could of seen their face when they pulled it up and read it.
Cheers my friend.
It's been windy here in Florida too.
Had to cancel a few fishing charters on the account of the wind.
Weather hasn’t been kind over here either mate.
10 years! Wow!!
I've been a lobster fishman 20 years out of Nova Scotia , i really enjoy your videos !
Thank you Timmy.
@The Fish Locker how deep do you usually fish?
The 2nd angle ✌️
Thank you.
well done on your 2 lobsters
It's good that you don't get crabby about getting robbed, knowing that you can claw it back. It might be enough to tide you over for now, and I'm shore that you'll have your day in the hauls of justice.
Getting bent out of shape in anger doesn’t do anything but spoil my day. It doesn’t serve any positive purpose.
Your old camera view is much better👍
I am astounded on how upbeat and positive you are when your hard work is stolen right from underneath you.
Thank you for putting a bright spot on a dreary day over here.
Getting bent out of shape with anger would serve no positive purpose. It would just ruin my day.
I love to watch your video's. From Holland. I liked your second cameraposition better. I hope that the person that emptied your pods ......
Hope to watch more on the Fishlocker in 5he future
Thank you for the feedback on camera angles. 😊👍🏻
Another interesting unloading of pots. Your first string camera angle seemed slightly higher and slightly further away compared with the second and third. To my mind it created slightly better viewing but there wasn't that much in it. No doubt you'll decide once you've had a look. Keep up the good work.
Thank you. I will bare that in mind. That angle would work better only on calm days.
John - I like how you use the swell to help break the pots free from the bottom and haul them up. Nice little trick to save the back and arms @ 15:30.
Cracking vid again john, your gonna catch them in the act one day
You get some informed TV naturals who can present and entertain like John Locker because they are basically in touch with ordinary people, down to earth and not up their own backsides. It's a very rare quality these days
I’m just a dipstick with a GoPro mate. 😉🤣
A good dipstick though lol
Just to let you know i baught a tee shirt and hoodie, top quality stuff ❤
Nice one John
I am happy now that nobody got away with that beautiful lobster for you ❤❤❤😊😊😊
Time is catching up Mate!
John, One can only wish that in the cotming season of Grockles, you are out their and catch the Bas****s at it,...😂.
I like how you filmed the second string
I think most will say the first view. But I like the 2nd, you can see into the pots better.
The video is incredibly good. Very clear and detailed. Poachers are vile people.
Nice sailing rig that passed. It's harder for the sailing vessel to turn quickly. I know from experience. I've had both. We used to own a boat that won the Mackinac race back in, I think, in 1918. An antique wooden boat.
I think the first string was the best but they all was good I got to see what you got inside of every pot as you were taken out of them
Look forward to all your videos! It’s interesting to hear our different sayings for things from your friend over the pond🇺🇸
I you have suffered theft from your pots on a number of occasions. I know that there’s not much you can do but you remain calm.I would be lived. Well done mate.
Getting bent out of shape in anger doesn’t serve me any positive purpose. 🤷🏻♂️
@@TheFishLocker which shows that you are a far better person👍
Hi from brazil...have a good catch.
Hi there. 😊🦞
"There's an awful lot of weed in this pot." I think I said that once in high school, but I'm a little hazy on it.
🤣🤦🏻♂️
People!
🤷🏻♂️
If the pots get emptied more towards the better weather, then surely the answer is to drop the pots further out as the better weather approaches.
Great footage, I can express no preference for the camera angle... It always seems perfect to me. 😀
Thanks Andy.
John i likes the second camera veiw best. Great video as ever. I grew up fishing the coast all the way from Saltburn through to Whitby. Settled in Scotland after a few years serving Queen and country. I would love to get out fishing in the southwest some time.
You need to boobytrap your pots against those thieving Grockles, John. How about limpet mines? 😁
Anyone got any hand grenades going spare?
Barometric alert signal to your phone, then fly your '617 Squadron' drone out with munition of choice on board. 💥😁
Karma will get them Sticky finger people. Great video John 👍
Bothe those camera angles work well, and I hope Larry light fingers gets caught, with a small Lobster.
John, I have a mate visiting from Bournemouth so a bit late. I think I may be back in England by Xmas. I will do FREE security. If you are so hard up ask, but I bet they selling!! Like you, it is not worth getting angry as they will win for that! Sorry my friend, I am sad for you and the family. Best wishes to all, and greetings from Cyprus. 🐟🐟🦞🦞
Theres always some prats out there isn't there. I could imagine there's some fisherman would use the thieves as bait for sharks if they found out who was nicking from their pots John. Catching the undersized lobsters bodes well for the future though. Hopefully they'll mate and there'll be even more to catch in future years too. I know one thing it wouldnt be me nicking the lobsters because you'd be able to follow the sea sickness trail right to my front door.😂
...Awesome!!! Whats for tea, I wonder?? :-)
Chips. 😬👍🏻
More awesome content thanks again for your time to do this video big fan of your channel
John. Would like to see the process of re-baiting and rope sorting prior to shooting the pots. also , are they weighted or anchored in any way to keep them stable on the bottom.
Watch the video on how to rig and work pots. All explained. 👍🏻
Good In local Speech ye Wirna hae'in an awfy guid day but triumphed in the end Good on you Cheers
I don't get how some people are content with themselves being low lifes, and I bet the first 20mm of their measuring tape is missing. Good video anyway John, and thanks for taking us along.
Nice one John 👍
2nd angle for me.
I'm amazed your pots get left alone as much as they do, definitely a weak opportunist because could only lift the first one 🤣👍
Exactly.
Time to get a small drum winch!
You are spoiling us John with the number of videos you’re posting for which many thanks. With regard to camera angle. Don’t think there is much in it. Personally, favoured the original second and third string. Hope you get through the tourist season without too many issues. 👍
In life, there are many corner-cutting fast-buck people....
Gps with depth indicator... I would go to Colombo mode.
Love how you just get on with it...
Down in South Wales soon... Naughty BBQ Lobsters think 500g females love to hear your thoughts on taste preference weight etc
Keep up the good work great channel
Hi John I like the 2nd set of red pots are they new lucky coulor for you I hope all the best John 😊
They do work very well don’t they.
Love watching your videos John. One a the best channels. Sorry to see that the first pot had been emptied. Some people really are scum. Best wishes.
Thanks Andy. Sadly we get scum in all walks of life. 🤷🏻♂️
Do not think I have seen you put back so many lobsters in a session! Patience you have. Regret the poachers, lot of bad ones everywhere.
A good day albeit for one tealeaf, hope they're not going to affect the rest of your season, thanks for sharing John👍🎣
Me too mate. If they do I’m going to just stop working the pots.
John ,wouldn’t one of those pot lifter on the side help ,leave it off when your fishing clip it on plug in for your pots , that looks a killer mate ,
@@stephrusty3055 nothing is that simple mate
@@TheFishLocker I think I would too, but I hope it doesn't get that far, there's not much respect for people or property nowadays, caught two little scumbags messing around with my boat the other day
Butt I'm a sale boat! I always got rite of way! Hey all the 8's - 88! Sometimes you just got to wonder? Second angle was the best for me. Tight Lines.
My friend had to fit metal cable ties to the first pot because the faithful were taking it all 1c loosely fitted metal cable ties it's stopped the problem just leave enough room to get pliers in to cut them off hope it helps mate
That’s not a bad shout. A shame though.
Superb stuff John, i think id have more of a chip on my shoulder if i knew people were helping themselves to my pots, but what you gonna do? cant baby sit the pots all week, is a shame though, if they emptied it probably means it had something decent in it, id love you to catch them in the act one day, would love to see that footage lol, thanks for sharing your trip with us mate
Yes mate. People like that get greedy and lazy and get caught.
I think both camera angles are good. Go with what makes a better video according to you. You have a great eye! Glad you got your two lobsters, but sorry someone took that first pot already. Takes all kinds. My best to you and your family!!
Im afraid that there always has and will be people like that around. We used to get catches stollen back in the 1950s/60s. Our local fishmonger sells Cromer crabs and they're a lot smaller than those Cornish ones. The original camera angle is best although both work.
Yeah Cromer crab always have been tiny. Sad really.
Just started fishing few months back, I've learnt some useful tips from your channel, keep up the rig tutorials please 😁
I like alot of things lumpy and the ocean isn't one of them. You've gotta hope there's a divine accountability for folks that take other people's things. Thanks for another great video 🦞🔱
They’ll get found out sooner or later mate.
I figure they know you're not out.
@@stucook8622 - The pots soak for days mate. In order to stop it you’d have to sit on top of them 24 hours a day.
Hi John, I see very little difference in the two angles both are very good. The “B” that stole from your pots, hope he cloaked on what he took. Can’t abide people like that. Thanks for another great video.
Scumbags in every walk of life mate. 🤷🏻♂️
Hey up John both camera angles was spot on mate I’m just happy we get to see the effort you put into your fishing and potting it’s a shame people do this but would love to see the camera footage when you catch someone in your pots obviously privately 🤛🏼 😁but to be fair you do take it better than I would keep up the good work pal your a legend and learn us all loads of stuff top man all the best scott
Cheers Scott, take care bud. 👍🏻
Catch the Emmit, and put his hands in the pot!
Deal.
Fantastic video. It really grinds my gears to see one of yr fleets has been raised and contents stolen. Man oh man shocking.
Thanks for taking out and getting some sea time with you.
first string angle,
Healthy fishery John. A lot of 88 or 89mm lobster so next year legal size. Happy days and thanks for the video. Can you do a cooking n prep of a lobster 🦞 for us all please. Cheers fella
Not sure what the difference is but I like the filming of the second line of pots
Hi, John nice video again can see your frustration with the pot raider ( robbers ) actions bet they don't care about the legal catch size or take number. ps looking good in your new yellow and blue whalers.
I got the oilskins for the pots and the commercial videos. They’re great for working gear with.
@@TheFishLocker Good been loving your insights into commercial inshore fishing
I forgot to mention my mum said she saw you on country file or something, she only knows about you cuz everytime I see them I always mention you videos and that you reply to pretty much every comment I make, she was well impressed by you..
Haha. Yes, cheeky little cameo.
