Happy Easter!! My beloved Daddy took me fishing as a little girl. All these decades later, I can still remember the lessons: sit still in the rowboat. KEEP your hands in the boat; the fish will think your fingers are worms; when you catch something on your hook, don't jump in the lake to get it. In the 1950s, we didn't wear life vests. I doubt the owner of the lake and boats even had any.
Any day on the water with my best boy is a day well spent.

Seeing you and James together on the boat reminds me of when I use to take my son to work. We would have fun as well as teaching him the tricks of the trade. It put him in good stead for when he grew up. Now he does it with his kids. And yes always made sure he was fed well

Can't beat a having a Best Coxwain onboard. You may want to try coiling your anchop rope into a large bucket, dhain, anchor and all, should then keep tidy and be ready to go at a moments notice.

You should keep a couple of congers. Keep the belly meat for cooking, and the rest for the pots. Though I don't know about the effectiveness for the lobsters, I know that the meat without small bones is absolutely delicious!
