W video. The same thing happened to my van and bought the whole ignition lock cylinder and the car still didn’t start. I found this video and changed the fuse and my van started. The fuse I used was 32v mega fuse 250Amp
I just had this problem when it rains. Last Monday and today. Just told the dealer. These people follow error codes...which can be misleading. Guys, look for wheel sensor issues. And that fuse is just genius. Thanks from the North.
Same for for after rain, i had a 7.5 amp fuse F18 blown in the engine compartment everything worked fine after that. Rain again same problem now the engine won't stop after replacing the fuse

I was installing a positive and negative cable for my 2021 ProMaster and my wife in the middle of the process, got me distracted. Forgot to tighten the positive cable and the security padlock light it up on my dashboard living me on a HomeDepot parking lot overnight. I have search all over the internet but no luck until I found your videos this morning. When I when in to battery compartment to check on that fuse, there it was! A Dam! Nut not being tightened. Thank you once again. A++ for this video. 👍 and buy the way,… the dealer will charge you $500 to $1200 dollars for a $5 fuse. 😕

My battery went dead and I couldn’t remove the key. Thanks to your video I was able to figure out the key was stuck because without power, the ignition won’t unlock the key. Your vid saved me the trouble of trying to force the key out.
I have a 2017 Winnebago Trend and I never thought getting the key out could be electrical. Thanks for taking the time to post. I originally thought those were 20 amp fuses not 70, thanks goodness I took a pic with my cell phone and enlarged on the screen. I thought of replacing all of those and getting a new battery too.
I had the same issue. This guy has on my ram pro master, 2500 2018 and I resolved it by getting out of the van and giving it a little push in the door jam forward which created a rocking motion and once I did this I was able to Remove and or start the van and shift the gear shifter! I’d remembered as a younger man having this issue with a car are used to have it would not go into gear correctly and the same thing fixed it. It would not do it all the time just occasionally on how you park I believe.
Mine was 2018 Travato 59G on 2017 Promaster 3500. Mine wouldn't shift and key wouldn't come out. I was still able to figure it out thanks to you. We would still be waiting on a tow and would have missed a LOT of family / work if not for you / this post. THANK YOU!!!!
Appreciate the video dude van wouldn’t start and didn’t know why took battery to get tested and was in good shape didn’t even realize that was a fuze apperantly i loosend the nut on the fuze and it wasn’t giving current tightend both screws and van turned on thanks much bro

Hey Scott, if you ever experience this issue again try getting out of the vehicle and pushing the vehicle forward to create a rocking sensation. I have a 2018 ram pro master 2500 and this is happened to me several times how I park has something to do with it, but I give it a little shove forward and immediately the vehicle goes forward and then backwards an inch or two the body not the tires and once I do this, the vehicle cranks and shifts and you’re able to remove the key without any issues it really freaked me out the first time it did it I was at a park way out away from everywhere.

From what you are saying and from reading the comments this sounds like a grounding connection issue. Am I right? We actually swapped out our battery a few days ago, because it wasn’t starting at all and then it was starting up just fine. Now we are bad to this game of will she start when we need her to. We have a 2018 2500 Ram Promaster with 100k warranty. Currently in Missouri, but from Oregon. About to head up to Colorado to see a friend before going back to Oregon, and this started happening. Hoped we can find an easy solution. I’m not a fan of the dealership and taking it in.

Knowing the fuse is there, this is a battery I would take the ground off before touching the positive, accidently touching ground on the positive with the negative attached will potentially blow the fuse.

😂 this happened to me. Wake up for work, key fob doesn't unlock van so use the key to open the door. Then if the battery is bad or has loose terminal connections your key gets stuck! And hooking up a battery charger at 4am cause the alarm to go off so loud. I realized after the battery said it was 100 percent the positive terminal came a little loose. Hard to see

It looks like one end of the ground wire is under the fuse box in the hood? I'll look at it thursday. I'm subscribing to your channel too, you're giving us some good help!
Mine is stuck right now, that’s why I’m in CZcams looking for a way out! This happened before, about 6 months ago and I did something to get the key out but it wasn’t change a fuse. I’ll keep looking and if all else fails, I’ll be back!!!

That’s funny I’ve had the same issue with my 2018. 2500 and fixed it by getting out of my van and giving the van a little push forward “sorta like a rocking motion “ and then i can shift and remove key from ignition!
I'm in Summit county. My Promaster tries to start but it won't turn over all the way. My friend said it's maybe the fuel pump, but I don't want to buy a new fuel pump and then have that not be the problem. Fuel pumps do go out on the promasters though. I don't have any way to check the fues's

Thomas Golding Hi it’s in Summith New Jersey and I just use another place for a Jeep that I have and I realize they just want to change parts so they can find what’s was making the problem and the charge for parts that wasn’t Bad You really need to know what needs to be replace or have them drive the car to understand what needs to be fix oil change is vary easy do do your self and if you have problems with the van not start there couple of thanks that you can try before bringing to dealers garage
I have my Ram promaster 3500 year 2014. and I followed the indications in your video, and it actually worked, I did the test on three occasions, I also removed the fuse and then I made a bridge to confirm if the fuse was bad, and it also lit. Then I ordered the fuse and when I received it, and I wanted to turn it on, it no longer turned on, an icon with two vertical stripes appeared and in the middle of the two stripes a lightning bolt appears all in red. Tell me can you came to see it
My main recommendation is that you add a ground cable directly from the frame into the starter this vans has bad grounding and that is the first thing I would do . I have a video about that like a subscribe to se more

Mine did that today completely dead no lights on dash nothing...I disconnected battery negative and reconnected and started and hasn't done it yet again but I only tried it few times...no idea but maybe security issue ..

So. My mega fuse has gone out three times. WHY is it doing this?? I have a 2018 Winnebago Travato K. 3500 Ram pro master chassis. Does it need more grounding? Could the house battery be sending electricity to the chassis battery? There is a solenoid that is supposed to isolate those two batteries. Please and thank you. I carry the mega fuse with me but am tired of getting stuck. My anti theft icon comes on when the vehicle won’t start. It seems to “not start” but then does for months, then goes completely dead. I’m desperate. I live in my RV.

clarence reeves not eat I have problems with most electric air sensors temperature is located on driver side mirror and gets water and snow if fails you lose a/c and probably heating if it’s on cold weather
IF you have power/12v in all the cables BUT the key still doesn't come out AND the engine doesn't start: THE SOLENOID THAT RETAINS THE KEY is giving the main problem. Solution: move the connectors of the solenoid and make them sure is plugged correctly
Hey man thanks for the video really helpful i had the same issue and the workshop replaced my totally fine battery and then charged me 600 dollars, I have another issue my transmission is stuck in 2 or 3 gear and does not up shift or down shift in drive and using manual doesn't do anything either any suggestions ? Also whenever i put it drive or reverse it give me bit of jerking motion.

hi rpm thank you for the video last week i had a bad ground for the starter i am using temporary looks like i have to run new ground... and do you know the diesel problem as well. mine is eco diesel.. bosch engine runs ok. but, it is stool? mode doesn't go over 2000rpm mode.. i drove slow. so, this time i am ok to drive almost 100km on hwy but very very slow acceleration. went to the dealer they dont even give me a code. trying to hide it from me. want to test so many steps.. i did check def side no porblem looks like they have to reset the computer or something. thank you

If you have to reset te computer try to see if under car warranty call 1800 ande explain the situation also unplug the battery for 24 hr and set again could be dirty injectors and need to be clean check with diesel garage they probably know better then the dealers mechanic Thank you for subscribing

I have a 2018 ram pro master 3500. It starts, then the “lock” symbol comes up on the dash and the engine turns off. Sometimes I can’t get the key out. I can wiggle the key, take it out and juggle the wheel…sometimes it takes 4-5 tries and then it starts or it simply will not turn over. If I wait a while it has always started right up. This is an intermittent problem. Sometimes I go for weeks with it starting correctly every time. Do you think I have this fuse issue??? It has been driving me nuts because when I take it to a mechanic it always starts right up!!! “No issues” they say…
@@rpmgarage5848 okay. Changed the key fob battery. Someone also told me to put the key in, turn to accessory, wait a bit for the computer to recognize the key, and then start. At this point I’ll try anything! Thank you.

You really need to know what needs to be replace or have them drive the car to understand what needs to be fix oil change is vary easy do do your self and if you have problems with the van not start there couple of thanks that you can try before bringing to dealers garage

I have my Ram promaster 3500 year 2014. and I followed the indications in your video, and it actually worked, I did the test on three occasions, I also removed the fuse and then I made a bridge to confirm if the fuse was bad, and it also lit. Then I ordered the fuse and when I received it, and I wanted to turn it on, it no longer turned on, an icon with two vertical stripes appeared and in the middle of the two stripes a lightning bolt appears all in red. My main recommendation is that you add a ground cable directly from the frame into the starter this vans has bad grounding and that is the first thing I would do . I have a video about that like a subscribe to se more

Mine did that today completely dead no lights on dash nothing...I disconnected battery negative and reconnected and started and hasn't done it yet again but I only tried it few times...no idea but maybe security issue

So. My mega fuse has gone out three times. WHY is it doing this?? I have a 2018 Winnebago Travato K. 3500 Ram pro master chassis. Does it need more grounding? Could the house battery be sending electricity to the chassis battery? There is a solenoid that is supposed to isolate those two batteries.
Please and thank you. I carry the mega fuse with me but am tired of getting stuck. My anti theft icon comes on when the vehicle won’t start. It seems to “not start” but then does for months, then goes completely dead. I’m desperate. I live in my RV.

Have you ever had problems with the rocker arms? These 3.6 liters are notorious for rocker arms going bad.

IF you have power/12v in all the cables BUT the key still doesn't come out AND the engine doesn't start: THE SOLENOID THAT RETAINS THE KEY is giving the main problem.
Solution: move the connectors of the solenoid and make them sure is plugged correctly

I have another issue my transmission is stuck in 2 or 3 gear and does not up shift or down shift in drive and using manual doesn't do anything either any suggestions ?
Also whenever i put it drive or reverse it give me bit of jerking motion.

hi rpm thank you for the video last week i had a bad ground for the starter i am using temporary looks like i have to run new ground... and do you know the diesel problem as well. mine is eco diesel.. bosch engine runs ok. but, it is stool? mode doesn't go over 2000rpm mode.. i drove slow. so, this time i am ok to drive almost 100km on hwy but very very slow acceleration. went to the dealer they dont even give me a code. trying to hide it from me. want to test so many steps.. i did check def side no porblem looks like they have to reset the computer or something. thank you

If you have to reset te computer try to see if under car warranty call 1800 ande explain the situation also unplug the battery for 24 hr and set again could be dirty injectors and need to be clean check with diesel garage they probably know better then the dealers mechanic

I have a 2018 ram pro master 3500. It starts, then the “lock” symbol comes up on the dash and the engine turns off. Sometimes I can’t get the key out. I can wiggle the key, take it out and juggle the wheel…sometimes it takes 4-5 tries and then it starts or it simply will not turn over. If I wait a while it has always started right up. This is an intermittent problem. Sometimes I go for weeks with it starting correctly every time. Do you think I have this fuse issue??? It has been driving me nuts because when I take it to a mechanic it always starts right up!!! “No issues” they say…
No it’s not the fuse when the fuse brakes the van will not start what you need to do is replace the battery on the remote! That did happen to me also
@@rpmgarage5848 okay. Changed the key fob battery. Someone also told me to put the key in, turn to accessory, wait a bit for the computer to recognize the key, and then start. At this point I’ll try anything! Thank you.
