*Finally a tenor. I am very proud of you, Dave. You did it!*
😂 Alto is still #1!!!
How do you get that sound on Tenor?? I hate playing tenor but I feel if I could get that sound after a while I would enjoy playing it
Andrew is absolutely sick!
1000000%!

Just nice, playing the lacquer right off those saxophones.....on fire, oh yeah it's beginning to sound a lot like Christmas Sax is in the house!
Thank you!
Fire!
I feel a bit bad for thinking it was Ryan Devlin after a shave.
😂
I’m honored tbh
Merry Christmas
OOh the backing track would be awesome too.
Inspirational as ever! Beautiful sound on alto and tenor!
Thank you so much!
Alto Gang trader!
I was just showing how easy tenor is compared to a real instrument like alto - no trader here!!
You are both amazing 👏. Dave, you sound soooo good on your 10M 🙌
Thank you!!
I been listening your Christmas album including this song since almost a year now l guess, on Spotify .. all the tracks are awesome but Hark the herald l guess on jazz waltz is my favourite 🎉🎉🎉 Anyways Thankyou for Everything and Merry Christmas to you
I'm so glad to hear that - thank you for your support!
Kickass as usual Dave!
Thank you!! 🙏
Guys! This was fantastic! Always love to hear Andrew and this is the first I have heard him on a “simple”song. Wow. And Dave, I think you are a wonderful player too. Love what you guys did with this. What a treat!!!

SEASONS GREETINGS TO ALL. tasty!!!
Same to you!
Wonderful and feel like Christmas already...how would you guys like this gig together thru the Internet?
Thanks! Not sure what you mean about the gig
Awesome stuff as always Dave! I’d never heard your tenor playing before~ Question! When you do these collabs, who does the first recording? I’m curious!
Thanks so much! Usually this is the process:
I create click track and midi keys and bass
I record my part (written and solo)
Send to other soloist (if there is one) to record, add them to the track
Send to keys to record, add them to the track
Send to bass to record, add them to the track
Send to drums to record, add them to the track
This changes sometimes if I want to be the one reacting to the other soloist (and sometimes I'll re-record my solo after the other soloist).
I want the rhythm section to be able to react to the melodies and soloist organically (instead of just playing like a backing track) so that's why they get everything last.
Sometimes I'll have drums record a scratch track to go along with my midi track to send to the other soloists, keys/guitar, and bass just so they have more context. The real drum part will always be recorded last though!
@@DavePollack Thank you for the detailed answer! I assumed drums and the rest of the rhythm section would be first so your explanation is really helpful🙂
why is this so tasty
Because Andrew is one of the greatest living saxophonists!
Andrew Gould is a CAT!
THE cat!
Day 433 of asking for shoutout (pls) (also good job)
