I just bought a Belgian challenger for way below market value because the owner tried to take it apart and lost the extractor assembly. There it sad for 40 plus years until he died and his son sold it to me at almost a parts gun price. I just ordered the assembly and should have it put together in a few days. Can't wait to shoot it. Tried to follow when I was trying to put mine back together but I couldn't see what you were doing inside with the hammer and the assembly. Still struggling to get it to cock, I think I don't have the tension springs set up properly but I couldn't see what you did with your camera angle. Can you do another one showing how that all goes together?
I was wondering if by any chance you restore or refurbish someone's gun if asked, I have a similar pistol and I am not getting good shell elections or the shell ends up getting stuck in the back if the barrel and one time the shell for not ejecting that great ended up nicking the back of my barrel.
Design question---> what does the thumb safety "block"?......trigger motion only?...sear only?....hammer only? How would you describe the function? Thanks.
