Training after the Marathon - Next Goals - Next plan

  • How to pick up training after your marathon again? In this video I show you what I do in the first two weeks after my marathon. This is already 9 days after the marathon and a perform my first double threshold session in a while. Later today I will finish with some trackwork as well 7x400m and 7x200m. My strava isn’t looking very pretty with several weeks of less running and tapering towards my marathon. Combined with some sickness and wounds in the last month toward my 2:24 marathon.
    The first week after the marathon I did not focus to much on training, rather on relaxing and recovery. However to keep moving and speed up recovery a little bit as well, from wednesday I started training or moving again. Here you see I didn’t had any double training days, only 1 cross trainer session and 2 short runs. I did two bikerides as well. I also go over my next training and racing plans for this summer and the fall season!
