Like seriously you explain stuff so smooth and easy. I just wanted to say thanks a lot for the time you take out on each video to teach others. You’re Definitely a blessing to a lot of us . 😇🤛🏻🤛🏻🤛🏻.
Not sure if your still monitoring this account/ videos, but just got my car done today and wasn’t perfect but you have to look closely to see the line. Thanks for taking your time to really show us the real way to do it!
"Now for those who don't believe I spliced it..." (Starts to rip off the tint) Me: "Noo! NO NO! I BELIEVE YOU NOOOOO! STAHP! STAHP!!11!"
I said the same!!! After watching the whole clip but worth it 👍🙂🙂🙂
Been searching for a week on this. This is the best instructions ive seen so far. Thanks

I think this is very helpful ...I cannot find a roll of tint in my city that will fit my back window ... good job ...also here in Canada shops want 400 bucks to tint my windows in my genesis coupe ...stick it ...i will do it myself ..even with a splice ...
Ralph hi !
Big fan enjoy your videos !
How did you get the tint to lay down on the dot matrix on the 2 piece splice on the VW Bug ?
Awesome video. Learn something new all da time. I used to do from the inside. Did u cut above & below the line or right n between defroster line since cut is from outside?
Hi Ralph, I watch a lot of your video. Great work!! Keep them coming! My question is, I am trying to shrink the tint on the back window of a 98 Civic Hatchback to install. I am have so much trouble on getting the fingers out. Have you done one in the past that you give me a few pointers on or should I do the slice trick?? Thanks
thanks
Excellent video!
Can you tell me approximately how long did that take you to do from start to finish?
Thanks for the great tips!
The film choice is the first step to ensure adhesion to the matrix. I lightly wet sand the matrix area and clean with glass cleaner or Pre Tac. Install should go smoothly.

Never seen the cut on the outside? Its always seen it done on the inside but never tried it because once you cut the defrost line its done are you putting the slice on the line or just under?
What brand the tint is berer for my mazda6
Years late commenting but there were a few good hints n tips here. Great workmanship. One question, which I hope will be answered...you spliced along the line of the heating element of the window, which disguises the two pieces as one brilliantly. However, I am looking to do my home windows, which will inevitably require butting two pieces together. Will the line of the two edges be noticeable once finished?
Yes but if done correctly would look like a spider web and most people would not notice. The darker the film, the more noticeable it will be.
This has the same effect on me as those ASMR videos.
Hi Ralph, how do I go about buying some film and getting it sent to Australia?
Email me your info and I will get our international sales rep to contact you. Flexfilmplus@gmail.com
Back In The Day This Was Like Magic Film Stretcher. I Could Take A 24 inch Roll Of Film And Tint Any Vehicle. Got To Have A Steady Tint Hand. Shaky Tinters Shouldn't Try This At Home 😂😢😅
that tint's too light. you can still see right through it. must be 35.
Yes
Like you never spliced it up 👍🏼
Thanks. Mild criticism though. Edit down that 14 minutes with the heat gun

Thanks. I am an amateur video person. I have a professional video guy that knows what he is doing now.
Ralph Van Pelt Oh thank you. Other than the length of that part, pretty good video for an amateur. I really appreciate these videos.
Realy god but if you cut it right from the inside on the line, it would be perfect, becuase you wouldnt be moving the tint.
Ladislav Sieber yeah but you would be damaging the defrost line
@@comebacklay it can be done from the inside. Certainly more risk but if you're steady and confident it's a better finished job in the end.
can't hear squat
Can you use your big boy voice next time
What a hack job way to tint bahahaha that back window is easy as a one-piece.
Are stupid or something?? Did you even listen to the first thing he said? He stated "it was not necessary anymore but he was just demonstating how it used to be done so that *you* couldnt tell it was spliced.
And it is far from "hack job"! It is a skill that took lots of practice to perfect. More so than any other aspect of tinting windows! One that most younger professionals would have trouble accomplishing.
And something tells me that your assumption is seeming 2 straight edges together because you didnt take the time to actually watch the video or even pay attention!
I rather have a 1 piece...
id walk back out the door if some guy was talking 2 pieces !
good job but not for me its 2014 not 1991 !
AwakeDude911 - if u only have access to 24" wide tint and u have 30" window then u don't have a choice.. But obviously I do so congrats Mr arrogant keyboard builder.. Real easy to type the world's another story do actually do it irl
hahahhaha
@@jakeclauson9863 BS...Tint comes in 35 to 40 inch rolls nowadays.....wtf place doesnt have access to that ....its not really a pro shop then
