      What state do you live in? The Nami Ryu system is part of the kuroda Han and have several schools around the country.

    Komagawa Kaishin ryu is Kuroda sensei's kenjutsu style.

    Well feeling a technique is what it's all about. That's why being uke is an honored thing to be, in my opinion.

    very good video! thanks for posting. if i may ask, what is the name of master kuroda's particular school of swordsmanship? in all my kenjutsu youtube travels i've never seen anything quite like it.

    To say the least. I tried to figure out some of the stuff he shows here and not as easy as it looks. Having no tension in his feet I get as we walk similarly in bujinkan but the rest makes the mind boggle. The host talks of chi but it looks like taijutsu to me :)

    I have a long video of his stuff and it is very hard to see what he does you need to FEEL it! I guess.

    He slightly moves his feet in circles when he changes stances. I haven't seen a technique like that @ 2:53

  • @SystemOfStrategy
    @SystemOfStrategy Před 10 lety +1

    This movement is designed not to be seen, hence it is not possible to see how things are actually done. What you "see" is not done in the paradigm that it looks like.

    I know he is the 15th Grand master of his family school you will have to Google the rest.

    i think run mindlessly swinging the sword all around is more effective
    i mean... if you dont know what u are doing your opponent dont know what you are doing sooooo.. yeah

    the finger wrestling was so fake no one does that

    • @jjs3890
      @jjs3890 Před 5 lety +4

      Not fake. Kuroda Tetsuzan. He does amazing things but can explain the science behind it.

  • @thesleepinggiant6457
    @thesleepinggiant6457 Před 7 lety +6

    The finger wrestling is ridiculously staged. The other stuff is cool.

    • @RokusaiMusic
      @RokusaiMusic Před 6 lety +6

      its not staged, meet kuroda sensei himself, train a day with him and you will experience it yourself. If..... you can even fathom it then because you will be blown away because this guy started at age 5, this video is from 2012 so he is 62 here. His family practiced this for over 450 years and passed on from father to son. Can't "youtube tutorial" those skills dude. I've seen some amazing things in dojo's, and this is not even the most weirdest/magical/fastest stuff.

      Said the "expert" behind the computer who had never really experienced this sort of work firsthand, or even seen it done in person, and really had no business at all commenting on it...

    • @jjs3890
      @jjs3890 Před 5 lety +4

      There is nothing staged with Kuroda Tetsuzan. He uses science to do incredible things.

      @The Sleeping Giant - I agree. There is a lot of bullshittery out there in the martial arts trade. His sword skills seem okay to possibly even good, but......that finger shit is not practical.

    I think this made up let's see the denshos and menkyo. The taijutsu look a joke.
