The XDEEP Sliding D-Rings are a pair of stainless steel D-Rings that can be fitted to any standard 2” webbing and can be moved easily in the water. Most D-Rings are fixed in one place, but these can be moved on a harness when you need them to but when weight is applied to the D-Ring it grips in place.

I’ve tried mine for a few dives now and they work far better in the water than on land😊

The word you're looking for is 'knurled'. They do work as advertised if you don't have such tension on the webbing. So if you grasp the bolt snap and D-ring together to take away the weight or floatiness of the cylinder, that will relax the harness and allow it to move over the knurled bit. Let go and the weight/buoyancy of the cylinder will lock it again. Remember that in the water it only has to deal with about +/- 1kg of net buoyancy.

I've done one dive with them so far and liked them. The d-rings stand out from the body nicely making it easy to clip on. Moving them definitely goes easier than you've shown here. I think I sort of shimied the slider along the belt, which is easier when you take the weight off the d-ring. They performed well with lightweight steels. Looking forward to testing them more.

I just got some from Xdeep any tips to get them to slide. I've only tried them in a pool with little success

This is a bit off topic, but since you're discussing D-ring kits, I thought I'd ask.
Would it be possible to replace the (very small) D-rings on a ScubaPro Litehawk with larger ones, without having to do any sewing. I suppose without cutting, one might end up with two rings on the same loop. Do you see any serious problems with that?
    Thanks.

For anyone wanting to replace the horrible rubber rings that come as default for the Xdeep Stealth, don't get these. Buy the ones from Sump UK instead.

I actually replaced the Sump UK ones with these a week ago. The Sump ones definitely aren't bad but come without d-rings and depend a lot on the size and shape of the d-ring. I found the d-rings often slip into the hole of the glide part.
So far I've done one dive with these xDeep ones and they performed well. Easier to move than Mark shows here yet tough enough to stay still with steel tanks.

@@Yggdrasil42 hi, fully agree, same issue with the Sump ones, I am considering changing to these.

@@Yggdrasil42 interesting. The problem I had when trying these in the shop (granted I didn't actually dive with them), was that it was very hard for me to slide them. I really had to work them, while the sump ones slides like butter when needed and stay in place when not. We might not be using the same set, I know that Sump UK constantly updates their gear and mine was bought about a year and a half ago. Regarding your comment about them not coming with D-rings. I don't see that as a big problem. I paid about 65 pounds to get them shipped to Canada, so I can spend a few more on some D-rings :D
