    Summary:
    1. Avocado
    Avocados and healthy eating go hand in hand. You can put them in your salad, sandwich or use it as a dip. This fruit, yes fruit, is packed with several of the brain's most valuable nutrients like Vitamin C, Vitamin E and copper. Having it fresh each day will improve your problem solving skills and memory.
    2. Blueberries
    Blueberries make everything better! From smoothies to chocolates, Blueberries have been around for a long time. Not only are these tiny berries delicious, they’re packed with brain boosting nutrients as well! Scientists have found they have the capacity to increase brain activity, boost blood flow and improve your memory.
    3. Turmeric
    This ancient Indian herb’s medical usage dates back centuries. Turmeric not only gives curry its yellow color, it’s loaded with compounds and minerals that have anti inflammatory properties along with being one of the best foods for the brain. The active ingredient in turmeric, curcumin, has a high concentration of antioxidants that boosts brain power and keeps cells healthy.
    4. Fatty Fish
    When was the last time you had fish for dinner? When we talk about Brain boosting foods, fatty fish tops the list. Fishes like trout, salmon and sardines fall under this category. What makes them special is the natural presence of essential Omega 3 fatty acids along with good fats. This combination helps in keeping your brain and heart healthy.
    5. Nuts And Seeds
    If you haven’t already added nuts and seeds to your meals then it is time for you to do so. Walnuts, almonds, peanuts, pecans and pistachios are filled with good fats, protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals. These help in preventing age related disease in the brain, protecting the cells and reducing the risk of Alzheimer's disease.

    I highly recommend people look into if they are sensitive to gluten. You might be surprised how this may effect brain and nerve activity. You may have had brain fog and joint pain and never knew that it may have something to do with gluten. A great to find out is to eat/drink gluten free and see/feel the difference. Gut Health = Brain Health.

    Why get your omega 3 second-hand when you can get it where the fish get. Algae. You can also get the vitamins that you get from eggs from other sources without the cholesterol.

    • @BestieHealth
      @BestieHealth  Před rokem +1

      You are correct that algae is a source of omega-3 fatty acids, specifically EPA and DHA, which are the same types of omega-3s found in fish. Algae-based omega-3 supplements are a good option for individuals who don't consume fish or who prefer to get their omega-3s from a vegan source.
      In addition to algae, there are also plant-based sources of omega-3s, such as chia seeds, flaxseeds, hemp seeds, and walnuts. However, these sources contain a different type of omega-3 fatty acid called alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which the body must convert to EPA and DHA. While the conversion of ALA to EPA and DHA is not very efficient, consuming a variety of plant-based sources of omega-3s can still be beneficial for overall health.
      As for the vitamins found in eggs, such as vitamin B12 and vitamin D, there are other sources of these vitamins that do not contain cholesterol. For example, vitamin B12 can be found in fortified plant-based milks and cereals, as well as in nutritional yeast and some types of mushrooms. Vitamin D can be obtained from sun exposure, as well as from fortified plant-based milks and cereals, and some types of mushrooms.
      Ultimately, the key to a healthy diet is variety and balance. By incorporating a variety of plant-based sources of omega-3s and other essential nutrients, individuals can meet their nutritional needs without relying on a single source.
