@@mejasiart8817 Not exactly because Reyna exist. She excels in 1v1 scenarios meaning she for the most part doesn't need a team.
Its the reason why 1vN clutches are a lot easier with Reyna because she allows you to essentially fight 1v1's again and again provided you can separate those fights from each other.
Other agents need teammates to enable them with varying degrees, it's just that Neon in particular needs a lot of help from teammates to fully capitalize on what she allows your team to do.

This video just highlights how INSANE optic is with utilities, everything is pre-calculated and orchestrated, also nothing is ‘improvised’. At this stage valorant is more about the ‘tactical’ part and not the shooter part, this is why a team like sentinels just does not keep up with the meta bc they are stuck with their old ways of just ‘fast hit B site’ or the same old defensive setups

Nah the games matured a lot, people thinking jett is trash were just plain stupid in all honesty how could she ever be looked at as bad? Rn the meta is self sufficient characters that can also enable teammates by enabling themselves. Jett, skye, chamber etc. Agents that need team work just never get picked much in ranked matches because it’s to unpredictable synergy is a hard thing to find with randoms. That’s why only smart players can make these agents work as they essentially use their teammates as puppets and even then still have a hard time.

@@WorldKeepsSpinnin one of the reasons I remember people thinking Jett was bad is because she was seen as an agent that only provides value for Jett, not the whole team. People complained that her smokes didn’t last long enough to do what people expected from smokes and then (aside from her ultimate) it’s just movement abilities. Yeah they were wrong but I hope that sheds some light on why people thought she was trash.
@@riker8214 riot agreed that jett smokes didnt last long enough and buffed the duration quite early on which pushed her to be the best agent
im immortal 2 and i swear to god, i have faced some neons that are just insane. the pressure she brings. Idk, compared to other duelists i think she takes the cake

At 3:18 you can see a KAY/O flash to allow neon to slide safely on the other side of the wall, maiking this B push use in total 9 different ability's
(-Brim: 2 smoke and 1 stim
-Breach: 1 Flash and a stun
-Neon: wall + 1 double stun and a slide
-KAY/O: 1 flash a knife and a molly)
so if you want to this in ranked, well good luck, you'll need it

Neon is the definition of enter fast, die fast. She performs the role of duelist of entering site so well that her teammates can actually follow her since she is the first to die.
So many cool set plays you can do with her and your teams util. 100% need at least a duo with another agent that has synergy with her to make work.
Neon solo Q is so horrible cause teammates never capitalize on anything. I literally opened up site and my team just sat there waiting and we lost.
I was a great Neon main (before the buff) but the alt did so little damage so I became a Chamber main but I was in one game someone instalocked Chamber so I chose Neon instead and I got MVP and two ACEs in that same game (the first ACE was also my first ACE ever). Neon is such an underrated agent and I hope people use her more.
I am in low elo so I come across a Neon almost every game since most of us don't know how to deal with run and gun because of poor aim and bad spraying habits. I also play on a fairly low end computer so whenever there's a Neon ulting on my screen the fps casually drops to 20-25

@@laserwinged2036 if its laptop try to go to power option and make min cpu usage 80 max 90 , go back , and download throttle stop , uncheck c1e and lower multiplier or smthng like that , it could be the cpu heat causing ur fps to drop and this is the fix ,if its not the cpu , try to change the OS (downgrade)(only when u have old gpu) and try old drivers, . idk this is how made my fps from 40dropping to20 into, 100-80 , i even downloaded CRu and overclocked monitor refresh rate it was bit better than usual. i typed an essay ; / tell me if u tried

Well this is definitely re-assuring. I felt by design Neon was good at creating early pressure and even has the potential to fake push a site and still find time to support the team in their push to the opposite site. I’ve seen her be played in a lurk-ish sense, but given her sprint ability she can most easily play with the team. But I agree she shines the most at working with the team at opening the site and disrupting the pace of the game by punishing defensive plays (I.e. catching a Sage/Raze offguard as they finish their animation for throwing slow/grenade) out in the open

gonna be honest. every neon I get in ranked is freaking crazy.
ive been saying this for the longest. her stuns which could clear 2 corners w/ big area hit is really good. Her speed which creates really fast gameplay which forces enemies to think fast (in a slow game valorant) creates so much pressure. she has fast map rotations too. The only problem is you need to set her up, but thats it. Wait till they buff her ult then shes A to S tier imo (in pro team wise not necessarily ranked).

I have been playing her a lot lately but playing with a team that won't trade you out after entry is super frustrating. Her ult is also pretty difficult to use
Okay I am genuinely curious. How should I enable her as a teammate in Soloque in the way these pros do it. I usually play Omen or Chamber in the a silver/bronze ranked lobby and I will try to follow the entrying neon and follow up for kills. I will also try to smoke off common angles of course. However, in soloque, teamwork and communication like the pros are highly variable. For example, a neon player unwilling to talk on VC. How do I follow up with that player?
Honestly, just bait them and try to trade. You could also try to flash for their entry. The Agent is best with a duo though

You follow up that player by doing things pre-emptively. Like if you’re using omen, flash a certain spot when your team or neon is ready to push that area. It doesn’t matter if you flash too early since in your elo, comms is hard to come by so it would be better using utility early when your duelist is ready or at the perfect time (prone to mistakes if you are assisting an unexperienced player or random).
@@ValorantAscended Ahhhh I see. Some players seem to hate it whenever I bait time to time (I try not to do it), but if they are unwilling to comm, it's porbably better to do that.

You answered it yourself, it requires teamwork, and I can't rely on my duo to play proper post plant with me, let alone on some randoms to enable me on Neon.

One of the best Neon player (imo) is actually iitzTimmy. Being an apex main definitely help him to make Neon work. Elite movement with that agent could definitely outfrag and create havoc on the enemy's defense while being one of the better duelist at defending with her stun, wall and quick rotation.
Wall jumping skills in Apex really translates well to neon as she can outplay enemies in duels
hey u should check out shirorz, if optic victor neon is god tier, shirorz is titan tier if you know ur mythology. also, he usually solo qs so ull learn a thing or two from shirorz neon solo
for me, neon is proof of concept that all phoenix needs to be viable is a longer wall.

Would be cool if he can right click his wall and this would create an omen like smoke of fire in his place. This would also apply to the spawn site of his ult so 2 fire smokes.
His E right click could consume the fire and this would instantly heal him but only half the heal and this would also give him combat stim.

After the clustef**k of a update i have started to play neon again and i am doing these things differently this time to make her work:-
1 Practising her movement in custom games of every map
2 Using her sprint only when necessary and switching to shift walking at times
3 Coordinating better with my teammates (especially flash agents)
4 using her slide only when necessary
5 using her ult only after i know enemy's location

Solo que neon is close to useless in smaller maps as she really can't run without making sound, in maps such as breeze being able to reposition quickly is definitely beneficial
Overall there are just better duelists

I gotta say Neon is pretty aggressive and maybe modeled after other agents. But I never noticed how she leans on her teammates' abilities. Glad to know that :)

neons ult is actually bs on small maps like split or fracture i am a neon main and i always instalock neon on fracture even though i usually dont instalock and neon is actually pretty fun to use and pretty usefull because shes just that agent that you dont know where tf she is

I actually think neon is the best duelist because you need team work and coordination to find success with her
neon is only good when you have a comp that enables her to play, that being chamber, they simply dissect jett into 2 characters.
now thinking about it since jett is dead from the new act, neon has a chance to go meta

Neon movement is CoD movement and I LOVE IT!!! Only if a lot of CoD players knew that! That would make neon the new meta and make Valorant closer to CoD(even if that is by 1%) because of the slide mechanics alone!

Reyna exist and she was made to excel at 1v1. Other agents also needs teamwork but they need it with varying degrees. Neon is just an agent that needs coordination a lot more than others.
