Would love to see Steve as a guest. I believe people would like to know.a bit more about him, how he runs his gym and the judging criteria/standards etc
Soon
Agree!
Getting out of the house when you work from home is a major key.
190 outa high school...always a beast...
Resistance training and healthy nutrition is the Fountain of Youth.
💯
Why Bev francis left steve weinberger for a woman? And why Dorian Let down his wifw Debbie after retiring. Hew didn't need anybody to cook his food, no more competition.
@@vivificateurveridique1420 weird thing to comment on this persons comment that has nothing to do with that. But hey if you wanna be weird, go for it.
FIRST TIME LISTENING TO YOUR POD CAST JAY. GOOD JOB, I ENJOYED THE POD CAST IT WAS GREAT. I'LL BE BACK BROTHER. ALOHA, BOBBY BEC, BIG ISLAND OF HAWAII.
I was NOT ok when gyms closed here in BC Canada. And I’m old! It’s how I start my every day and sets me up for the day. I work remotely prior and post pandemic so the gym is life. Gym is life - essential device. ❤
I always have to rewatch these episodes because I like to eat and crash out to them lol
Lol
love Matt, but dude you really gotta stop cutting Jay cutler off when he's talking... it happened like 4-5x just in this podcast. and then so share your experiences when we care more to hear jay obviously.
jay so humble he doesn't mind or say anything but this is the cutler cast.
yea exactly, and he does it repeatedly with the guests too which is even worse, complete interrupting trains of thoughts while not saying anything particularly interesting.. no offense
The worst part about that is that after Jay is cut off, he never finishes where he left off.
@@superluminatmos yeah it’s all no offense. We’re just being real, sometimes the camera is more towards him instead of Jay lol
Listened to this on my 8am morning walk. Love it Jay ✊✊✊✊
Didn't get a chance to catch up with Dave at the Arnold, but this guy was literally everywhere at the expo, shows as well run as this require a small army of people like him.
Kudos to Dave for making my first Arnold memorable with his behind-the-scenes efforts!
Hey co host Matt...you mention Kevin's gym in Port Charlotte, FL. His name is Kevin Johns. I remember him. In 1991 or 92 I was visiting Punta Gorda, FL right next to Port Charlotte. My cuz and I, both HS athletes at the time found Kevin's gym and he took us under his wing for the week. I think 2 Texas Rangers were training there also, Ruben Sierra and Julio Franco...their Spring training was down the road. Anyways, you are in no way exaggerating about Mr. KEVIN JOHNS. He was a legend down there. His legs were enormous and cut...very intimidating but such quiet humble nice man. He was also an arm wrestling champion. I'd think he was about my height 6'1 and 260 ripped. He was also a black belt ...we as 17 yr old boys were awestruck of this guy.
This is cool! Two dudes from wi on the cutler cast!! First bodybuilder I met in person was None other than Jay cutler at golds in Vegas on Sandhill when he was training to take back his title. Jay was so great with his fans… We chatted a few minutes and took a pic together. Very cool memory!
GREAT Video, soooo many interesting information have to listen to this podcast at least one more Time with pencil and paper.😎👍💪
Mark Dugdale (light heavyweight winner) is the guy yous we’re trying to name….he won the overall at 2004 USA
Hands down the best podcast in the industry! ❤️🙌
Love Cutler Cast Gentlemen!
Haha I like how Jay thinks. Episode #70 starts with a psycho analysis of his co-host. Jay's blank stare (5:36) is awesome too, total Spock mode.
FUN CONVERSATION! It's great to see some greater excitement for Mens Open Bodybuilding along with the other classes. I am a 60 year old LIFE LONG FAN of the sport - always hoping that bodybuilding might make that next step up in popularity that was always elusive and seemed to keep getting pushed out. Just so many really COLORFUL, INTERESTING and ENGAGING personalities in this sport. Obviously, the dawn of social media (CZcams, Instagram etc.) has FINALLY made it possible for more than just the handful of top pro's to make a respectable living, which is fantastic. That said, this excellent conversation just puts a SPOTLIGHT on the core reasons that bodybuilding has never really progressed like it really could. It needs to have the "balls" to abandon the antiquated beauty pageant model and look to some other extreme sports like the UFC, as blue prints for how to build up a much larger stable of "stars". Stop parading out 20 contestants where 15 are not even competing after three minutes into the pageant. In this format, you end up with 15 to even 18 LOSERS and usually ONE WINNER. Instead, put up a card of head-to-head battles between more evenly matched contenders. Have 10 head to head battles using a ranking system to make battles, along with fan desired matchups (Diaz v Masvidal or Diaz v McGregor). Your Champions might battle 2 or 3 times per year against the number 2 or 3 ranked contenders. Your 20th ranked contender can still be a WINNER on the night if they knock off the number 18. You could end up with 10 or more winners on a single night in different classes. Follow the model of the UFC in promoting their fights. People get VERY EXCITED to see contender matches. In the pageant format of bodybuilding, more than 80% of the competitors are totally ignored. I believe that there are some obvious candidates (Jay Cutler?) to be the Dana White of bodybuilding.
Jay, it's great to see you.
Jay u still look amazing..cant thank u enough for you as a human on this planet
love hearing how it all begin. I remember when Jay first started
Love the chemistry and thought process of Manager Matt! It's always a great time when you both are on here
I’m interested to know how Jay his different his career path would have went if he wouldn’t have hooked up with Chris early on in his start? Wisconsin taking over Cutler Cast! Great show!
Drives 300yrds to do cardio and gets a coffee 😂😂😂
Just gotta say Jay is still jacked at his age! Love his podcast, always intresting on what he brings to the platform.most of all for me there's a side of Jay I love which is his demeanor and who he is on camera.keep the grind and push through.
great show
As always awesome episode and guest interview guys, 40:00 at that time when we got celltech and nitro tech and we think we gonna get big muscle shredded and something incredible goona happened! lol what a time.
Daniel has the interviewing skills down pat. Very good interview. 😁👍🏼
Perfect timing, for my birthday and just got out of the hospital, thanks for the conversation Jay !!! SR.
Happy Birthday bro
Happy Birthday!🎉
Mohamed Makkawy was the first pro bodybuilder I saw/met.
Jay Cutler was the first bodybuilder I saw in Honolulu, Hawaii
Bally's in the late 80s was about 700 bucks and you paid it in increments of about 30 bucks a month and people who stopped going to the gym and didn't pay, got a big surprise on their credit report.
I've watched all 70 episodes, and wow, Unc Matt getting in shape last episode I noticed, his black long sleeve shirt bad progress, bro. Now, how much GH?"N/R Amazing content from Cutler. Thank God for free content 🙏
38:18 funny I see this part amidst Mike mentzer videos before the gym 😂👍🏾 47:02 definitely a difference in the atmosphere from when I was a kid
Matt said it best. If you were in the crowd at the Arnold, it was clear that Samson won it. I didn't even really consider him before the show! I was thinking Jacked, Bonac, Ramy...
Jay is so down to earth! Greets from Moscow
thanks for listening
13.40 The subject of the video title👉🏽
We love u jay.......❤❤❤❤❤❤
The gov shut down gyms, but left McDonald’s, liquor stores and strip clubs open. They lied, didn’t tell anyone best way to not get covid is to workout and eat healthy . Hope everyone is awake now.
Never take advice from the government
29:37 That lineup do be wilin'
You can have one without the other. Period.
Those arms are yoked up. 20” on the hang, 21” on the lock up💪🏾
How did you recognize Shawn Ray when he was walking around with the big glasses with the nose attached to it?🤣
Agree 100% with Matt on getting outside of the house regularly when you work from home. My office and gym are in our house and we've got a treadmill here but I have to get outside to walk a few times daily or I'd go nuts. Fortunately here in FL I can do that almost all year.
Congrats on the 70th episode!!👏👏👑
thank you
I used to spend at least £20 a month on magazines 🙈 flex, muscle & fitness, musclemag and MD and if I could find them Ironman and an English bodybuilding mag called the beef! Still got some cool 90s mags
Love to see J at Brian Shaws gym…that would be an awesome video..
Coming soon!
Jay! People are going to love you for your reputation and past. That is an athlete life spam (short). Please don't try to 🧨. I'm always here for the knowledge. Thank you very much for that!
huh?
@lenny person - is that why you're here? 🕺🏻
Ah Dave, come on with the trivia, 2003 was Richard Jones and 2004 was Mark Dugdale.
Jay’s arms are swole AF! 😳💪🏼
He and Milos said they were about to get jacked again... Milos looking good too in last few podcasts
Hadi is young too. I hope he drops some size and comes back in ripped af!

I missed it's premiere this week. I'm disappointed in myself. I shall try to do better next week. Keep up the excellent work guys.
First pro I met was Nasser after the 99 Olympia. He was a bitter dude and talked to nobody. Second pro I met was Jay in 2017 or something.

Hey Matt, I see you're skipping forearm day, what's up with that? You trying to make your biceps look bigger?
His hands and forearms are of a man who plays to mamy video games and never done any real physical work
The Bis look huge Jay, but I notice they don't move when your hands etc do.... 😏😜
He said, very few ppl did it (lift weights)😅 Hilarious It was 300 because this was 1991!
Agreed Jay…too many pro cards…imo
The difference between samson vs hadi/ Derek in condition isn't 10%😂 it's night and day
There are too many pro cards given out. However, It really doesnt matter because the cream-of-the-crop is only going to shine anyways. But when it comes to masters division turning pro, the ifbb has to do something to save these people from themselves. For the love of God if you become a pro as a master you should only be able to do Master shows male and female. Also these Masters who turned Pro never end up competing so it's not an issue but there is some delusional Masters guys and girls out there that are going to end up killing themselves trying to compete with these Young bucks. And that's ashame. Jay you should push the issue that if you turn Pro as Master you should only compete in masters shows. Anyone turning pro over 35+ in masters division shouldnt be allowed to compete in open class. Even if it's not that big of a percentage of people who do compete in the open, there's still a handful of these guys/gals that do try to do it and they're killing themselves trying to do it. Just eliminate that loophole to help save these delusional people from themselves. For the love of God. Even if it's one or two examples of really good Masters pros that did well in the open, so what, 1 in a million isn't something the ifbb should go by. I'd go as far as to say is if you turned Pro as a master your ifbb pro card should say ifbb Masters pro. Small steps like this will help with the health of the "sport". And if there's these older Masters pros that say there isn't enough Masters shows for us to compete in, answer to that is so what. If you compete in open class you're getting close to dead last anyways. If you to move up the ranks you're going to have to kill yourself drug-wise to do it at an advanced aged. No matter how many drugs you take you're never going to get into that top 10 or top 5 regardless. Jay push to get Masters pros a different type of pro card...
Hadi is great but is is structurally maxed out.

He drives to the gym 300 feet away to do cardio LMAO
300 yards 3/4 mile normally - ton of construction so I drive around the longer way.
@Cutler Cast LOL u guys r awesome. Best podcast.
@@CutlerCast I feel like Jay would’ve just picked up all of the construction equipment and moved it out of his way as he walked to the gym
David Bey Wisconsin Bodybuilder what's up.
Why Bev francis left steve weinberger for a woman? And why Dorian Let down his wifw Debbie after retiring. Hew didn't need anybody to cook his food, no more competition.
What’s good!!!!!!
They never finish a sentence without being asked another question mid sentence. Annoying
Keon isn't touching Clarida. Not even close. Keon alone is Mr. Olympia. Put him in a lineup and lol. In what world would Keone place 5th at this years open Olympia? Haha comical. Talk about wishful thinking.
Why Bev francis left steve weinberger for a woman? And why Dorian Let down his wifw Debbie after retiring. Hew didn't need anybody to cook his food, no more competition.
The real question is, why didn't your mom swallow you? - Matt
