It doesn’t matter how many times it’s explained, 95% of people won’t ever listen to or understand how judging works. They’ll always think it is some kind of points system, and not the placement system.

Lol they do flip flop all the time with no criteria ever being consistent, it should be simple. In who wins the majority of the poses, but no they just randomly change things show to show, not only do I think nick should’ve won, I don’t like ramys physique at all, but imo I think he even got screwed and I could’ve seen ramy 2nd or 1st, if u go off how a bbing show should actually be judged
I was at tbe show close to the Front row. And as soon as they walked out I clearly has Samson winning. I was blown away how amazing he looked. . And honestly I had Andrew Jacked in a close 2nd, and Nick Walker in 3rd. Again I am not a judge but it's a night and day difference watching the show online versus being up close in person. Again the decision has been been made let's celebrate and support Bodybuilding. Now enough on this topic. On to tbe next show 😊
same. i had samson winning as soon as i saw them lined up. front double biceps, and it was over. it was that clear to me.

They think Samsons physique resembles Lee Haneys, similar shape huge chest and vacuum in the double bicep. Very similar look . People are not saying Samson is better than Lee, just that his physique is very similar to Lee's, which is a fantastic compliment for Samson. Keep up the good work, really enjoy the discussions.

Here in the uk (Leeds) there was 10 inch of snow on Monday/Tuesday and today it was t-shirt weather,march is crazy here too and plays havoc with my decisions to wear thermals as I’m working outside all day.😂

I feel like big events like the Olympia and the Arnold should have a "judges cam". Put a few cameras right behind or next to the judges, they could even use a few decent phone cameras and thats it. They stream the event with the normal cameras and then they can upload the footage from the judges camera to their Olympia youtube channel. That way we will be WAY more understanding of placings, and even though it still isn't like watching it live, it will help the fans understand what the judges were watching 10-15ft away from them.

I agree with podcast #69’s 😆 title despite being a bit biased towards Ramy. He’s the only one on that Arnold Classic stage as being a front runner to be spoken of as a “dynasty” or “iconic” bodybuilder since Phil.
Ramy has the capability of being talked about in the same discussion as Jay, Ronnie, Dorian and Phil. He has two Mr O’s and at his best can beat anyone, currently.
Samson, Walker, A Jacked, Hadi and Lunsford have the “potential” to be legendary. They also could end up with careers similar to Levrone , Flex Wheeler and Shawn Ray.

Nick can only win the O if others come in off. If everyone is top notch, theres just nothing Nick can do because of his frame etc. IMO Nicks frame is already maxed out. He can pinpoint flaws and try to adjust them but thats about it. I feel for Nick, lots of aesthetic,taller, bigger guys moving in. Im excited to see what happens.
That’s just the narrative that’s thrown around when in reality he’s still young and improving as wel, he can def fine tune things not even necessarily get bigger, but imo he’s lit still growing he’s gotten bigger every show
@@willthomas7666 I dont think its just a narrative thrown around at all. Yea he can improve here and there but size wise overall, theres not much to gain. His frame is maxed out. I dont think he has much room to grow thats gonna make a significant diff. However, alot of little ajustments can make a huge difference, so i dont count him out completely.

Can definitely see how impossible it would be to make both the wrong AND right choice at the Arnolds, they all looked amazing, personally i think Andrews physique was the most asthetic, his quads are so unique, his condition looked awesome - not mad at judges for picking Samson though, he looked fantastic!

The judges always get it right because you can’t change it , live with it and move on no bodybuilder has ever went undefeated so it happens. Thanks Jay for the podcast, everybody’s favorite won according to the internet that what makes bodybuilding great !!! SR.

it's so interesting that the people who question the outcome apparently think they know better, even though the judges have been doing this for years or even decades. so useless and unappreciative, as if questioning changes anything in this case.

They should just call the other division winners by the name, like mr Olympia, mr classic, mr physique, miss physique, miss wellness and so on. This whole the winner of Mr Olympia classic is to much we know it’s at the Olympia but only one sandow is given

I really think if you look at Nick in 2021 at the Arnold, you see how beautiful his shape can be. He got too big, too fast, blew out his waist, and now I see him struggling against people he could be beating. If Nick could take a step back I think he could take two steps forward.
I think that the fans that can't be there in person do the best they can to chose from what they see at home as well!! So it's hard to judge from home or on a screen for sure. However I think most fans understand that who we see as winning is not always going to be the winner because it is different in person but hopefully they respect them all regardless. Just remember one person might think Jay cutler is they're favorite physique and someone else might think Ronnie Coleman is they're favorite physique and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. So I just think that's the judges are no different really!! I think any of the top 3 could've won!!! I think judges are getting better overall. Just my opinion again.

Bro you can’t compare Eras but you can compare physiques. People say He had a ‘physique’ similar to Lee, not his notoriety and his “Wins”. They’re not 1 in the same. There’s plenty of current physique that have the nostalgia of a older era physique..

Olympia does promote the other division as "Ms Bikini Olympia", "Classic Physique Olympia", "212 Olympia", and so on. That means a winner of such a division would be "the ms bikini olympia champion" and so on. Winners, (and even just competitors who competed but didn't place and calling theirselves the Mr Olympia are just fooling themselves and creating this confusion.
Derek is definitely the biggest threat to the title. He’s also substantially younger than all these other guys(besides nick) so if anyone is going to build a dynasty it’s going to be him.

NICK should have Won, But he was better at the Olympia and he came in flat,But still was good And Samson was way Soft compared to NICK and Andrew, But I have a strong feeling that NICK WALKER is going to be Back with a Vengeance with huge improvements with bigger outer Quads and upper chest and bigger back and with the Special Freak Wow Factor to Win it All at the coming Olympia 💪🥇🔥

Walker's downsized lower extremities (ie; LEGS) and massive back created that dreaded "popcicle on a stick" stage image. True Sentiment 👉. The judging panel placed him 2nd due to his extreme popularity to the fans of the bodybuilding arena. 📈 🔍. 🤔
For me i dont think nicks structure is mr olympia worthy, but thats my personal opinion - i dont think chris can do open, not for a goooood few years at least

To think Nick would ever beat an in shape Samson you must have a very inexperienced Body Building eye.
There is no universe in which Nick Walker beats an in shape Samson in a true Body Building competition. Samson's structure and genetics are just far too superior and it doesn't take a fully educated eye to see that is reality.
We are talking about Body Building competitions 'Best Built Man" not a social media popularity contest.
