The Chelsea Women have been one of the few pleasures in my life over recent years, never let us down, give 100 % every time , and better to look at ... Yes ! I'm a male chauvinist, but always very proud of our ladies, looking forward to seeing post Emma what changes will occur

Can’t see Fischel being sold. Maybe a loan when she’s fit again but she’s very young and given her and same will be going into the season with ACLs, can’t see how they sell her.
I also think there is a good chance Sonia will try to have Sam and Mayra in the same XI - at least to give it a shot. They’re very different players with different qualities and I can see them really working well together in a Kerrby-esque fashion.
If that is the case, there would be a role for fischel off the bench when fit.
As for the rest, who knows with Sophie - it really depends on Sonia but she’s the sort of player who probably won’t mind being on the fringes more and could turn out to be useful. It’s one thing to be on the fringes in your mid 20s but in your mid 30s it’s probably beneficial to have that sort of character in the squad to be deployed if needed. The maren role.
Svitkova and nouwen will go but Cankovic is another mystery. If Hayes was still the manager I’d say for sure she goes - but with a new manager all bets are off and she has the ability on the ball to potentially play a big role for Sonia in midfield. You just never know how a new manager will see a player like that.
I’m more curious about what we do with the myriad wingers/forwards we have now. Reiten, macario, Baltimore, JRK, ABJ, James, Hamano - it’s a lot.

Am really glad ur producing content about the women's team. Most people tend to focus a lot on the men's team, which is ouk bt i would really prefer content on anything Chelsea, including the development teams.
Good work bro and keep em coming..💪🏿

I've found that Lucy Bronze is often caught out of position when she plays for England. Maybe she's being adventurous, which could be a positive thing but maybe she is undisciplined, which can be costly. Perisset knows she is there to defend first and foremost and to supply Jo-jo. I don't know that Bronze - as good as she is at what she does do - will be quite as effective as Perisset or Lawrence at the core responsibilities of a right back, which is what Chelsea will need with all the other attacking options at their disposal.

Lucy has to ice her knee after every match. She is powerfull and highly skilled defender, but older she gets, the more mistakes she makes in positioning passing leaving gaps in a team with kess possesion she wil be exposed. And for chelsea it is a dubble edged sword.

Nick, my concern from last year was the lack of pace on the defending 5. I wonder what you think about that?

Lawrence has always been a midfielder. Baltimore will come in for depth but won't replace either winger. Bronze won two Champions League trophys with Lyon & Bompaster is one reason why she's there. Excuse my spelling of names especially the right winger who plays nationally for Sweden. Enjoyed the podcast. GO BLUE!!!

Bronze won't be happy on the bench. Maybe its time she changed position - she's always better helping attack than defending imo.

Well Phil Reed tried, by pushing her forward in the middle in the England team, but it didn't work. At 32 the manager knows that she will not change, and will have to take the risks, but I think she is worth the gamble,

@@655superblues we have two great right backs who are both five years younger in their prime
We have a great dressing room environment at Chelsea already,Lucy wants to play more regularly that's why she left Barcelona when she is not better than the back up right back how will she react to that
These Chelsea players are already multi winners so what experience can Lucy bring to the team
She is on a two year deal at 33 is bad business financially the only good thing is that she is marketing tool but that means nothing to me personally

Good breakdown. I'd like to see Mia Fishel move to another Champions League team where she can get playing time. She's an enormous talent who needs to grow. I know Emma Hayes was quite high on her - but there is a bit of a log jam of strikers at Chelsea now.
