- Here are 7 tips and tricks you will not learn at the dealership about the Honda Passport. From touch screen customization to secret cargo space. If you think I missed something please let me know in the comments!
I hit my Passport in Feb 2018, when they came out. I LOVE IT!!! we’ve had four Hondas and they have been amazing. We had a Honda Civic, Odyssey van, the Passport, and a 2020 Accord. All have been reliable, powerful and pretty luxurious cars. I am a Honda fan for life and I love my Passport!! Hope you all enjoy yours. Thank you for this great video.
Just got a 2021 Passport w/28k miles on it from Gulf Coast Auto Group in Mobile. Thanks for the tips. I went out into the garage and performed each one, and more. i'm going to start from the beginning babying this thing, optimizing utilization, learning it inside out and just making it last longer.
I’m with you on good find we just bought a 2019 Passport Elite with under 13,000 miles, looks as if it never left the garage. It’s mainly my wife’s car but I’m crushing hard on this machine, it’s awesome
Thank you for the TIPS... epic video lots of help!!
Outstanding video! Thank you, I get my passport in 2 week’s! Can’t wait
very useful info !! Thanks a lot
Honda has a weird issue with the walk-away auto-lock sometimes if you close the driver's door after your passengers close theirs the computer gets confused and just beeps rapidly for a few seconds and you have to manually lock the door with the remote or the button on the door.
👏👏👏👏👏💰👏👏👏👏👏 I learned more here than from dealer salesman!! Thank you!
Just love your Honda tips
Thanks for watching!
Thank you!!
Oh my, I had no idea... thanks
Thank you 👍
Very good video and lots of excellent tips. Thank you!
At time mark 3:52 there is something called "Driving Position Setup". What is that? (I don't own this vehicle yet).
Also, I can use the key to open the tailgate, I can use the button on the back of the tailgate to open it and I can swing my foot underneath with the key in my pocket to open the tailgate. HOW DO I OPEN THE TAILGATE FROM WITHIN THE VEHICLE??? I didn't see anything INSIDE while test driving.
The resolution of the screen is 1920x936.
For the windows to go down. Press unlock twice not three times.
I liked the Spurs when they had Rodman. That was a great team.
Old School! Nice.
I like kid rock
Any tips and tricks for the new gen Insight?
I will work on this! Always looking for ideas to make into videos!
How to reset tire pressure indicator ? I can't find it. 😠
Justin. Can you help me figure out if the 2022 passport Elite model has the feature to set the tailgate height. The button doesn’t say hold to set. Every time I try and hold it the door just goes up or down.
I don't believe it does although the CRV does.
Other tips. Make the dealer deactivate the Collision Mitigation system, it almost killed me twice and it sends me into a rage every time I forget to turn it off manually (you have to hold down the button for several seconds, otherwise it jerks the steering wheel and beeps at you on EVERY CURVY ROAD). And yes, the automatic window thing? Twice I came back to my car and ALL MY WINDOWS WERE DOWN. I had sat down wrong and hit the button? Seriously. It is the ONLY reason I'm probably NEVER buying Honda again. Otherwise I completely love my Passport. The auto crap and front sensor are SO DISAPPOINTING (oh, I have a long list, once while driving 75 mph down the freeway my high beams starting flashing everyone, jeez people, I think they've had automatic dimmers since the late 70s; again, so frustrating and has created SO MUCH negative feeling towards my otherwise awesome Passport).
Dang! There's so much construction on roadways at the moment that if the cameras are using the lane dividers to keep the car in a lane, I will for sure be fighting the system repeatedly. I'm already doing it on with my accord and lane assist. Does collision mitigation system work similar to lane assist?
@@spyddar fortunately the lane sensor can be turned off once and for all. Only the collision mitigation garbage sensor has to be turned off LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE TIME one starts the car.
Yes add a subwoofer right next to thee included subwoofer 🤣🤣🤣 (that big ole box next to the spare is a subwoofer btw)
the stock one is garbage..

The one annoying thing is if I’m using Apple CarPlay and disconnect it doesn’t auto play from my Bluetooth, is that a setting?
It is not a setting that I know of.
Is there anyway to turn the ACC censoring off permanently on a 2021 Passport
Permanently? No. You can press and hold the following distance button it will toggle between regular cruiser control and ACC
Here is my question, when i select a clock face there is random numbers show up at the 3 oclock spot. Whats up with that. There will be a different random number everyday.
That’s literally your date 😂😂😂
How do you turn on fog lights???
It should be on the headlight "stick" also. It's the inside rotate piece and turn it towards the front of the vehicle. Try it at night so you can see if they are on/off more easily.
Tip 3 is not completely correct. On my passport if the selector is in the middle both mirrors move down in reverse
Not on my passport :(
what year and trim is yours?
@@Handsome347 2019 elite. It either does the left or the right but not both at the same time.
@@Handsome347 2020 touring complete full load. There is no elite in Canada on the passport. Overall not so happy with the passport. I had to take it in because the driver door panel dinted from the weight of my elbow.. weird never had that before
@@markbrown4080 How did that happen?
Like on your clock face it has 11 at the 3 oclock spot, why?
It’s 11th of the month.
@@jasonsong86 figured it out lol, im no einstein 🤣🤣🤣
Infotainment screen is too small..we need huge screens in honda..its 2021.
How u turn off auto idle stop?
There is a button with the letter a and then a circle that is a narrow rounded. If you press that button it will turn off idle start stop
That will shut it off just until you turn the car off.
You are fucked if you don’t like that. Same with the stupid lane assist that tries to keep you inside invisible lines and shakes the wheel for no reason.
@@TacoMonster4eva yes thats the only thing i dont like about the passport
@@TacoMonster4eva lane departure mitigation can be turned off and stays off, so that's not an issue. This button is on the left side dash where the mirror control is. At least for my 2021 PP. I never used it and it's always off for me and never resets to ON. But you're right the idle stop is always reset to on. I'm looking into Idle stopper "hack" for it since I don't care for idle stop. Also LKAS (lane keeping different than lane mitigation) can stay off and does not get reset back to on either. This is controlled on the steering wheel right hand.
I live in the hot south with lowest setting on the A/C. Idle stop does not come on while on lo with a/c.
Im a dumb dumb...it's the day of the Month...DUH!
That roll down all windows and sunroof by using the remote key fob has been around since early 2000s for Honda. I don't understand why a lot of ppl thought it is something new and even spend some time to showcase it. lol.
Because we have a whole new generation of drivers, and people new to driving Honda. Also.....some people just dont know these things. I for one am happy to have it pointed out. Sorry for not being a Honda geek and knowing every bit of engineering and tech knowledge.......geeesh.
A key to close windows and sunroof? That defeats the purpose of being easy when you have to go out and use your key. smh
A lot of these things are not new.
Thank you for doing this video but most of these tips and tricks are about 15 or 20 years old. 😂
Good video but good lord you have to fix that audio. Just brutal.
