Thank you for sharing your workspace. It took awhile for me to find a comfortable spot in my recliner. ❤❤❤
This is so incredibly helpful. I DP pretty much the same way you do in my living room….. But without the easel. I think I will be adding one to my Amazon cart at your recommendation!! Also, the pipe covering is absolutely perfect. I love the slit in it and how helpful that actually is in holding the end of the painting secure, so it doesn’t continuously unravel
You are so welcome!
I love your clean, simple and mobile set up 😍
I love it! It's very similar to my set up on my recliner! I used to work in my hobby room using the desk near the window with the natural daylight coming in. However, I found that if I set up a workspace in the living room I can settle into the evening with my family and paint while I watch TV or CZcams with my family members. It was so cool to see the printers hard at work! I'm still loving my trays ! Thank you 😊
I'm 💜ing this set up.
Love your set up, ❤️
You have a lovely set up! I work on the dinning room table but then I’m still very new to the hobby.
Thanks so much for showing us your set up with big paintings, that was very helpful 🌹
Thank you for sharing your setup. Im currently working on my first large canvas and was trying to figure out how to manage my finished section so its not laying in my lap as I work. Thank you for sharing so many tips. I love working on my canvas while listening to your WIPs.
👍😊 love you room, it's a lovely blue 😊👍💚
This was a really interesting video. It's great to see how others do their diamond painting and to get ideas. I think the 'couch set up is a fantastic idea. I'm going to steal some of your ideas from this video. Thanks for showing us this.
Every time I watch your videos, my mind starts running with ideas 😍. I have the same wall paint color in my office. It’s a beautiful color
You got yourself set up very nicely. It looks easy to pack away and move when you're not diamond painting. I tried doing the same thing so hubby wouldn't get jealous of my diamond painting, but I find I can't sit on the couch and work. It doesn't provide back support for me and I slouch when I'm working. I wanted a permanent spot to work in and not move my diamond painting when working on other crafts, so we got a desk set up in another room with my easel and lightpad. Thank you so much for sharing!
Brilliant! Tucking behind the easel is what I was missing. Another fabulous video. ❤️
Glad it was helpful!
I like your setup. I'm mostly confined to my bed, so I do something similar, but with pillows. 😅
We have a single room that does kitchen, dining, tv and study. The 'desk' is a large corner desk built from Ikea tabletops (the long ones). This gives me room for computers and craft in the one spot with hubby on the sofa with his TV, computer, etc. I use a computer chair as I'm short so need the boost to be able to actually reach some of the painting. I've never been one for TV so hubby is used to watching what he wants although we both use headphones a lot. I have padded the edge of my desk so I'm not crushing lines into my paintings when I have to lean over and I work with the painting from the bottom up to avoid crushing the completed part. I roll the paintings as well as I'm usually doing painting 50x70 and up.
Awesome I been wanting to start one but I wanna be in the living room with my husband
I like the way u hang ur funnel on the hinged ring with ur spare diamonds 💎 🤔😏
Thanks for this video! I am new to diamond painting, just on my first square canvas now. I have the easel and am waiting for my light pad to arrive. I have been using the dining room table, but will have a go with the tv table and my couch and see how it goes. I like that you work at the bottom of the easel, but don't have the "done" part falling on your lap. I've seen a few videos where they say to go from the top down, but you are always reaching that way... Thanks again, Nancy
Glad it was helpful!
very nice picture
I sit in my recliner with a lap desk and my light board on its easel so this would work perfectly for that. I'd probably work the other way, with the completed part going over the back so my fluffy belly wouldn't be against the diamonds. I cut a piece of pipe insulation and slid it on to the top of my light board so the canvas can go over it and there's no risk of any creases that way. I love your videos, you have such useful tips!
Perfect! I'm so happy that this helps you.
👀
My setup is almost identical to yours. I got the cart idea from an older video of yours and it was most definitely a game changer. Thank you for sharing your ideas because I would have never thought of using one of those carts.
And for people living in the US if you have a five below store around you they have a nice big wooden easel like Rebecca’s for 5 dollars.
😮 mine was like $45
😍
rebecca im getting a small easel can i put it on a tv tray to work on diamond paint
Thanks, Rebecca, for sharing how you DP on the comfy couch. Do you prop up more pillows for back support or just sit up straight?
I tend to just sit up straight, but we have loads of pillows for if I do want to tuck myself up.
Very similar to what I have always done. I like to do this in the evening while watching movies with my family.
I have been struggling about getting the easel or not. I don't have alot of money and I would hate it if I bought one and then didn't like it.
I love the little cart idea!
Great video.
I should also probably mention that I have just completed my first painting, Round Diamond. It was very cheap and was not good at all, so I am just using it to master techniques.
What is your recommendation for putting the picture of the wall? I have seen so many different ways....I am getting confused!
The easel is great to help with back/neck pain. I find I can diamond paint much longer with it. Well done on finishing your first, it's an addictive yet relaxing hobby. As for framing, I've both used frames, and hanging bars as well as foam board. Hanging bars is probably the easiest, but I use many different ones dependant on where I want to display them.
💎💙
Can you put Amazon links to your easel, light pad, and "accessories" that you use? (Or to something equivalent). I find myself sitting on the floor hunched over a low table (a 6 inch step that I use for crafting on) and my back hurts so bad that I have had to take pain medication just to get through it. I don't have a lot of space and your set up looks like something I could manage. Thx ahead of time

Love your setup. I'm new to DP and am getting my first longer painting soon. I'm curious why you keep the finished section on the bottom rather than over the top. Is it due to the weight? Does leaning on it to work mess up the parts you have already finished?
It's mainly due to weight. Also if it goes over the top then the angle of the canvas is greater and I don't like how the diamonds seem to separate. I don't lean on the finished part, so I don't find it gets messed on in any way.
@@addmorezest Thanks for explaining!
Where do you put your tray of drills while you are working? There isn't room on the table. I love this idea, though. So far I an just doing mine at the dining room table. I love that easel idea. Would help my neck from getting sore.
I hold it mostly while working. If I need to set it down it's often on the coffee table while I nip to do something else, like make a drink.
Where did you buy the easel I really like it mine is metal. Thanks for sharing
Mine was gifted, but my Daughter Megan got one from the works. It's listed here: addmorezest.com/favourites/tools
Hi Rebecca, I do a similar set up with pipe lagging for larger projects, most recently was my HAED that I completed a couple of months ago. It’s a game changer isn’t it?
Yes, it keeps me in comfort and the painting doesn't get squashed.
@@addmorezest oh absolutely! 🤣
👾
💎❤️📚
how do you keep the tray that you're working from level so the drills don't fly all over the place? do you hold it in your hand?
I hold it yes, though as long as the angle you have your easel isn't too steep it can work with the tray on a grip mat and I do that sometimes too.
Just wondering with your couch set up do you find yourself having to sit on the edge of the couch? My back needs support. I have found a way to use a lap easel but it does not work with the size of my current WIP Spirit of flight by J. Wall.
Yes I do! But I also sit with my legs crossed a lot. I'm a mover, so I have cushions behind me, then not all the time.
For how long can You sit and work on the diamond painting at a time?I tend to get pain in my back and shoulders.
I can go quite a few hours, but I do get up periodically and potter a little bit, so that helps.
Hi 👋🏻 wondering which kind of light pad you’re using? Thank you 😊
I've got details of the light pad I use linked here: addmorezest.com/favourites/tools
Thank you 😊
Is the light pad your A3 one or A4? Many thanks. Dianne
This one is my A4 one, it was before I got my A3 one.
🤔💖👍🏻
I SEARCH FOR THIS WOODEN (DON'T KNOW THE NAME OF IT IN ENGLISH 😅) ? BECAUSE HERE IN GERMANY I CAN'T FIND ONE SOOO BIG AND STURDY! I HAVE ONLY THIS SMALL ONE THAT CAME WITH MY A3 LIGHTPAD FROM AMAZON BUT THIS IS TOTALLY UNSTABLE 😫😭
It's called an Easel in English. It's mainly advertised for Artists, so maybe try and art store.
where did you get that easel? i need it! LOL
I've got one linked here: addmorezest.com/favourites/tools
😶😶😶
Yours looks bigger than the one on the link
It's the same size. (if it's the easel you're talking about)
