Somebody made a Super Mario 3D Land Mod!

- Super Mario Expedition is a mod for Super Mario 3D Land which contains a brand new world full of 4 new levels! This is the first proper 3D Land mod I've ever seen and it's REALLY good! I hope that some day this mod gets expanded upon with more levels because more 3D Land mods should exist! Anyways, enough rambling. I hope you enjoy this video!

I can't believe the modding scene for 3D Land is so small, Nintendo basically gave us the framework for Mario Galaxy 3DS and no one has made that a mod yet, I'm aware of the Mario Galaxy DS Homebrew game someone is making, but for 3D Land all you need to do is re-implement the health meter, disable the run button, give Mario the spin attack (which is basically already in the game via tanooki leaf), and add a few more moves like the ledge grab and triple Jump. Things like launch stars and star bits would take a bit more effort to implement, but going off the movement options I mentioned would be a good place to start. I know that Mario modding communities are very passionate so I'd imagine adding that stuff wouldn't be very hard. If I knew where to start, I'd probably try doing it myself honestly.

@@Jack-gd6yp I'd love to, but I'm not into 3DS modding and I'm putting all my spare time into a different project.
As im in the pikmin modding community. Pikmin is way less popular than mario games but theres so many mods. Its hard to be the first modders as you dont have anything to base it on

Modding is incredibly difficult, especially for 3ds games like this or games like SM64ds
This Mod Looks So good compared too the Official Game. Nintendo Made the levels feel so short but this mod actually felt much longer and better
While some may be short Some of these levels were the biggest I’ve seen in a Mario game

I played 3D Land for the first time 3 weeks ago and i enjoyed it, great game and I can't wait to see you start doing content on it

Even if the 2 games are mostly brothers, they are very different, the experience is unique for each of them
3D Land has always been my favorite mario game, i hope they keep making more and better mods.
I think tightropes in Galaxy would be much easier due to star spinning
I've always wondered if anyone has modded Super Mario 3d world, I really enjoyed playing it on my 3ds, so it's great to see this underrated game get custom content.
It's cool to see a mod for 3D Land and I can just imagine how hard it was to make an original background and level dioramas for the overworld.

It's quite ironic how 3D land mods can capture the good parts of 3D world better than 3D world mods. Super Mario 3D land modding is so much better compared to the cringe 3DW modding community and this mod proves that 3D world modding has the same potential as 3D Land modding but nobody utilizes it
3D World mods are still awful most of the time
