Just a quick video showing how I added a couple auxiliary reverse lights on my 2004 Toyota Tundra.
This was a pretty easy install, and I am very happy with how they turned out. I didn't want the lights to hang down too much, so I mounted them to the existing cut outs in the bumper drop frame. The wiring was easy as well.
You can mount them with just about any type of hardware or bracket. I wish I would have done this upgrade sooner. It's so nice to see everything when backing up in the dark now.
    Thanks for watching!

Dude! You saved me a ton of time with the tip of wiring into the towing harness! Thanks for your professional video. Such a great upgrade, love my new back up lights!

They are still working great. I don't even think about them until I put it in reverse at night. Makes me smile when I look in the side mirror and I can see everything.
Best of luck with the install.
      Take care,
      -Dan

I have the same issues with my truck, 04 Dbl cab w/shell & I did install LED OEM back up light bulbs. Im totally stealing your idea, Only difference is I did all my wiring connection behind the drivers side tail light. I had a 14 gauge fused wire from the battery in protective flex casing already in place for the shell lighting and I picked up the shells 3rd brake light behind the tail light. Was super easy to install the relay & all included wiring behind the tail light..pick up the back up light for the trigger signal to the relay..and babba boom easy peazy..Thank you for the idea.

      Haha,
I am glad you ‘stole my idea’
Glad to hear they worked out for you. I am still very happy with these lights.
      Take care,

Me again I have the new lights just took out of the box. I think I would like to hook them up to the reverse light like you did, but I also want to be able to turn them on with a switch at will. Do you have any suggestions on how to make them work with the reverse lights and then use a switch when needed?

Sorry, I’m not sure exactly as I have never done that, but looks like this video might show how to do something similar to what you’re looking for.

How stable are they mounted on the sides of the lights? Seems like there would be a lot of stress on them bouncing. I get the lights won't be on when you're driving but...

      Great question Trevor,
That was my concern when I installed them, but so far so good. They’re holding up just fine. If you drive a lot off road, it might be better to center them a little more to reduce some of the stress on the mounting bolt.
      Thanks for watching!

Do you need the extra relay sense the backup lights are already on a relay in engine bay?

Why put relay and all that cant you just tap ground and connect the wire to the 12v reverse light

Thanks you for that upgrade. Can you do a video of your Tundra installing a tailgate assist shocks? I cannot find a tailgate assist kit that fits my 2004 Tundra. I was thinking of getting the 2007 and up kit but i am not sure if that would work. Thanks for this video i will installed those backup lights in mine.
