@@sorrowdusk5068 Same tree.. The original tree they burned when they realized it could kill them. Then they found out in season 2 or 3 of Vampire Diaries that the tree re-grew, obviously they had left the area so they didn't know. The regrown white oak tree was cut down and its wood was used for various thing like the bridge. They couldn't track it all. So the white oak that pops up is from the regrown tree, but ultimately same origin. No other tree will do.

It was their complex family dynamic and extensive history that made they fans love them which is how they got their spinoff. Elijah was actually introduced wanting to kill Klaus because he thought Klaus killed Cole, Finn and Rebecca, then he found out they were only daggered, which is a comatose state which used Ashes from the original burned down white oak tree.

She even went as far as buying wolfsbane and was going to take it (I don't remember her actually taking it and spitting it back up, but my memory is shit so that might've happened, IDK, I'm just going with what I do remember) until she got attacked by those vamps and realized she wasn't only fighting for her life, she was fighting for her baby's life too, and she realized how much she already loved her baby. She was considering ending the pregnancy because she never really had parents (specifically, a mother) and felt she would be a horrible mother because of it. Klaus had the opposite fear, he had terrible parents and feared he too would be a terrible parent. But either way, both Klaus and Hayley seriously considered termination in the early pregnancy days.

Human Caroline was as shallow as a kiddy pool. Vampire Caroline had depth, strength, courage, and endeared herself to everyone around.
I’ve realized people are shallow because they’re scared, terrified of something. Terrified they’ll never be enough, that nothing they’ll ever do matters, terrified no one would ever look their way if all they saw was what was inside. But she died, and there’s nothing more terrifying to a teenager than death. When she woke back up she had essentially conquered her biggest fear. She realized she was able to do anything she wanted, be anything she wanted, even if she screwed up and let everyone down she was still going to be able to pick herself up and move on. She let go of the fear she held and was able to move forward and live.
That’s my theory at least. She learned to control her urge for blood and learned she had control over her life. I know leaving for college was my big wake up call, I lost my dad, left behind an abusive ex and a small town I hated and realized I could survive that...nothing anyone did could hurt me like losing a parent. I already lost what I held closest to me and hit rock bottom so there was no where to go but up. And up was a really big world full of different people and I was still surviving on my own in it, I just had to let go of the fear to live.

I love how vulnerable he is with Caroline. She's the only one who's seen him beg for help. First in season 4 of TVD when Silas made him believe he was dying, and now that he needs to save his daughter. I loved Camille. But let's be honest, she was no Caroline in the way that she was confident, independent, and strong.

Nah it's not strange. The character development and personal growth Klaus went through on The Originals was beautiful. Yeah, he's spent a thousand years generally terrorizing the planet's population, but that doesn't mean he deserves to die. In real life, it'd probably be different because we don't get to truly know a person in real life as we do with TV show characters, but yeah, Klaus didn't deserve to die. Two decades prior he probably did (I haven't seen Vampire Diaries, don't come for me), but after having Hope and knowing true unconditional love for her, he changed.

I don't think that would've been as impactful. Like I think it would just be seen as "oh Klaus skates by once again, another person has to sacrifice instead of him" stuff. Even if Elijah forced it, even if Klaus was completely physically and mentally knocked out of it so he couldn't do anything despite how much he wanted to, it would always be seen as "yet another person sacrifices in place of Klaus" type thing.

‘The big bad wolf’ always has a reason to act the he acts from the outside but the side is completely different they have the biggest heart.
Klaus was her first and last love. Klaus told Caroline, " No matter how many lifetimes, I will be waiting for you." He meant He would be waiting for her to realize that she was and had always been in love with him, just as he was in love with her. Klaus and Caroline could have been an EPIC love story. Caroline and Stefan had no character chemistry. Stefan and Caroline were boring as a romantic couple....

For me, The Originals sits right on the edge between decently-good-ish and very-solidly-not-bad. But that line about there always being "another way" is really quite perfect and I'm very impressed! And I gotta say I've always liked this shows big underlying thread of fatherhood un-asshole-ing a guy.

Couldn't they have created a new prison world with a new ascendent and after syphoning the magic out of Hope, put it in a dark object then send it in this new prison world before sealing it ?
