He was literally kept in a box and none of his siblings ever cared enough to get him out, then 900 yrs later they suddenly want to be a family now, so he probably wanted revenge by putting his siblings in eternal sleep and he also hated being a vampire and vampires in general so What he wanted align with what Esther wanted so he teamed up with her. In The Originals Esther found a way for them to become witches again without dying and killing all vampires, then as we saw she turned herself into a vampire instead of dying which is when he stopped following her.
Esther was so fricking delusional at points it wasn’t even funny 🙄🙄 she thought she was entitled to her children’s never ending devotion and obedience simply because she gave birth to them, never mind that she screwed them up beyond repair and let her husband beat Klaus almost to death without raising a finger to help. 😤

JM really killed in those scenes.
Gosh I know, that was such a wasted opportunity! He had such potential to be an amazing character! 🤦♀️🤦♀️ I hate when they introduce someone just to kill them off two seconds later. Especially someone who I never imagined we’d ever get to see in the present time. It would be such a cool dynamic to see how Klaus would deal with having a father who actually doesn’t hate his guts lol. if only he was introduced way earlier we could´ve had many scenes with them, instead he was introduced and clearly was a strategic weakpoint that would´ve been exploited like klaus feared. not because anselm would´ve betrayed him but we know that witches and others can dive into memories to get what they want

Personally I think Ester is the worst of the 2. She cheated, kept the child of said affair in the dark, never to know his real father. Let her husband punish the child for her actions. Turned her kids into Vampires after one died. Then she plays them to kill them? Acts like a mother to destroy her own children. Used her daughters body to do it at one point. Gave her firstborn daughter to whatever that woman was. Let the dad hunt them all down for centuries. Tried to do all that to Hope. Used Finn’s weak mind against himself and his siblings. Micheal obviously wrongly punished the offspring of his wife’s affair instead of the f*cking cheater. He never played anyone for a fool, he never made himself out to be a loving father to destroy anyone. Any love he showed was real. Mostly with Freya, fucking favorite child.
It's cause Freya "died' when she was still innocent and pure in his demented mind. if she had lived long enough to become like the others, and we all know she would have defended Klaus like the other siblings, he would grow to hate her too. Although in that version I guess Klaus wouldn't even be born because they wouldn't be grief-stricken and Esther probably wouldn't have cheated.

Yees. My sister and I actually had to deal with an abusive family member since childhood, and we were able to escape when we were 15. Now I am 22 and my sister is 17. It definitely is nothing compared to what the Mikaelson children had to deal with😂😂, but it was still hard. It was mostly emotional and verbal abuse.
I never understood how Accents worked when they would body jump because I feel if I was to jump into another body I would speak with the accent I’ve been speaking with forever
they do and they don't, when klaus first took over alarics body and he talked to Katerina he had his accent but then it went away. i assume they do it just to blend in better. which isn't hard considering how old they are, they have 100% learned multiple accents. like klaus in s3 of tvd uses an american accent sometimes. i think they speak in whatever accent is their favorite

So it's the spirit of their biological mother in that body. The Originals were not "sired" in the way others are turned to vampires. In their case their mother created a spell to make them strong and immortal and as part of the spell their father, Mikael, killed them by driving a sword through their hearts when they were human, killing them. Because of the spell when they "revived" they were then vampires, the Originals. It's a much longer story to explain the why and who played a part in the process but this should be enough to clarify your confusion I hope.
