    As Elaine Smookler puts it, when we’re at work, “We are constantly trying to mind-read one another, and usually, it’s not ‘That person really likes me!’” If we’re on automatic pilot throughout our work day, we’re much less likely to question these negative assumptions, which adds to our stress.
    What can you do? Elaine suggests:
    ✨Create reminders for yourself to take a mindful breath.
    ✨Ask yourself, “Is this thought really true?”
    ✨Even when you’re busy, let yourself take a break, and return with a fresh mind.
