Frédéric Chopin, Piano Sonata No. 2 in B-flat minor, Funeral March

Chopin completed the Piano Sonata No 2. in B-flat minor while living together with George Sand in Nohant, south of Paris. The work was published in 1840. The third movement, also known as the "Funeral March" is the most famous out of all four movements. Whilst Sonata 2 was once criticised by Robert Schumann and Felix Mendelssohn, it is nowadays considered to be one of the greatest piano sonatas in existence.
