I only remember my first run because when i found out about farming and the chances i was absolutely astounded when i thought about my first run
There *has* to be increased drop rates on very 1st, fresh playthroughs. Ive owned this game 3 separate times (360, ps vita, n currently switch). Every single time on my 1st playthrough, I've gotten most of the drops 1st try. Nortfleet on my switch, infinity on my vita, no bs almost every drop on my 360. There *has to be something.* Lol

My favorite world drop moment was my first playthrough with my brother, we were running through the beginning area where you meet the Firehawk, I asked my brother why he never opens lockers, he said it's a waste of time and immediately after he said that I opened a locker and our first legendary was in there, a level 8 DPUH that i still have to this day.
In my very first playthrough I was Axton and got a Keroblaster from the Toilet outside the Middgemong fight. I never learned how funny this was until years later.
A friend and I managed to pull a Conference Call from the slots back when the game first released, and I think what makes it my favorite world drop is that we had no idea just how RARE it was to get because we were still of the mindset that legendaries dropped similarly to how BL1 worked

My first legendary drop in BL2 was a world drop and it was a shock conference call from one of the cardboard boxes next to the fast travel station when you first try finding Sanctuary before you run into stalkers for the first time.
Running down the path in Tina's DLC towards where you meet Davlin for the first time. I was killing some spiders, ten went to open the spider sacks beside the New-U station, when the first sack dropped a storm sniper. Maybe not the most looker weapon, but was quite fun to use it in nvhm :D

Action Skill is so simple yet so effective. It's just a nuke but it has a duration and can be upgraded in a lot of different ways. Skills change gameplay, synergize with each other and fit the theme for Torgue. This mod is amazing.

In the little outpost right by door guy, me and my buddy found a longbow quasar grenade in the lockers after the ladder. Every time I get to that location, I have to always check the magical locker.
its either when i got 4 legendaries in the snowman chest, or when i hit a spiderant skull pile thing in frostburn and got a lvl 9 fabled tortoise. i was able to clip both of them and every time i watch them ill never forget the rush of emotions i got when it happened :)
I was doing the Mighty Morphin mission one time in Tundra Express ( UVHM ) I ran past a Storm thinking it was the varkid pods you have to collect for the mission, got it on the way back through the map 😂🙏🏼

In my first playthrough ever of bl2, I think I got a corrosive badaboom from knuckledragger. But I only really realised that I had a legendary rocket launcher when my friend pointed it out to me at the wildlife preserve part of the story. So that badaboom really carried me for a very long time.
I had an insane would drop from Mick Zaford on a Tediore Allegiance Axton playthrough when I was farming to level 80 he dropped a pearl! But not just any pearl, he dropped, and AVENGER the only pearl I could actually use for the run. Needless to say I was ecstatic.

QOTD: My favorite farming moment was my first 94 Sham Shield on my 72 Salvador. I farmed every day before my college classes, before work, before anything. 2-3 hours per day for a month just to get it. And that moment when it finally dropped was just so satisfying.
I once got a TWO world drop unforgiven’s in a single play through before level 70!! And one of them was out of the valentines Thresher crate. I was gobsmacked

QOTD: I still remember it. On my first playtrough EVER of Borderlands 2 i was playing very carefree, like i was never on the wiki, skillpoints in skills that were sounding fun instead of op etc. When i was in TVHM Wildlife i killed a random stalker and world dropped me an Unkempt Herold. At that time it was my first legendary (warrior from normal mode dropped the blue relic) and i was exitied to try it out. This new rarity “Legendary”, was extremely op compared to what i had, and i think at the time that got me into farming legendaries for the sole purpose of guns with fun and powerful gimmicks.
the funniest world drop i've had was the electro IVF when i was messing around with holodome. i instantly picked it up in the heat of the moment having absolutely no idea what does its red quote stand for, and then kept constantly oneshotting myself with its DOUBLE EXPLOSION upon reload for like 10 minutes straight having no clue what could possibly kill me through Athena's shield with all those crazy particles and movement.
My favorite world drop moment is when I got the madhouse from the slots, and this was before the madhouse got a dedicated loot source. It felt special to me because I couldn't find a video of other people having the gun at the time.

Mine had to be one of my first UHVM runs, going through the story and when I got to the dam part of bloodshot stronghold, the first set of lockers dropped me a baby maker
Cant wait for this to eventually get past the crashy stage because no matter what i do or the mods i have or dont have installed, i can't play longer than 5 min without my game crashing, but for what i played this mod is amazing
I always appreciated the Wilhelm Rolling Thunder build(drone deals more damage the longer it is out, which can be extended by the capstone ability when killing marked enemies), where the drone's DPS could match yours and you'd compete with it to kill enemies the fastest.
Best world drop moment I had was when I was farming some chests for a better shotgun and I randomly got an on level kerblaster, that weapon had carried me thruout the normal mode

QOTD:
My favorite farming moment was my first 94 Sham Shield on my 72 Salvador. I farmed every day before my college classes, before work, before anything. 2-3 hours per day for a month just to get it. And that moment when it finally dropped was just so satisfying.
I haven’t gotten incredibly lucky when it comes to world drops but I do remember opening a locker on the uncle teddy quest and getting a sham.
I once was playing as Gaige and beginning UVHM, I was in liarsberg killing bullymong, one of them dropped a random sawbar out of nowhere.
My favorite world drop moment of all time happened while i was farming bunker. Got two pearls back to back and a 93% sham right after
I once got a TWO world drop unforgiven’s in a single play through before level 70!! And one of them was out of the valentines Thresher crate. I was gobsmacked
My best world drop from memory was actually my first legendary, got sledge's shotgun from one of the frozen people in the fridge right near the entrance
pearl out of a skag pile... will never forget how much i was stunned 😵💫
QOTD: I still remember it. On my first playtrough EVER of Borderlands 2 i was playing very carefree, like i was never on the wiki, skillpoints in skills that were sounding fun instead of op etc. When i was in TVHM Wildlife i killed a random stalker and world dropped me an Unkempt Herold. At that time it was my first legendary (warrior from normal mode dropped the blue relic) and i was exitied to try it out. This new rarity “Legendary”, was extremely op compared to what i had, and i think at the time that got me into farming legendaries for the sole purpose of guns with fun and powerful gimmicks.
My favorite world drop moment in bl2 happened when i was farming triple-o and got 2 world drop sawbars from random savages, IN ONE RUN!
the funniest world drop i've had was the electro IVF when i was messing around with holodome. i instantly picked it up in the heat of the moment having absolutely no idea what does its red quote stand for, and then kept constantly oneshotting myself with its DOUBLE EXPLOSION upon reload for like 10 minutes straight having no clue what could possibly kill me through Athena's shield with all those crazy particles and movement.
On a level 60 Zer0, a random GUN Loader in the Friendship Gulag dropped a Butcher, and i just sat there bewildered for a minute.
My favorite world drop moment is when I got the madhouse from the slots, and this was before the madhouse got a dedicated loot source. It felt special to me because I couldn't find a video of other people having the gun at the time.
I remember getting a Bearcat from one of those suspended Stalker sacs in Wildlife. And I remember being very, very disappointed when I tried it.
I got a Maggie out of a dumpster outside the Happy Pig Motel. Loved it.
The best loot moment for me is probably my first legendary I ever got, bonus package on my very first save about 11 years ago now. Still remember it to this day

In my first ever playthrough, I found a Madhous in a random pile in Three Horns Valley, and I thought it was the best thing ever, at least until I got a Lyuda a few levels later
The craziest world drop I can remember getting is an Impaler from a Stalker pile at Magnys Lighthouse.
Best world drop was where I was setting varkids on fire on the Wilhelm mission and something dropped a perfect hammer buster😂
I got the Storm pearl sniper from the BNK3R one time wayyy back in the xbox 360 days. Also got the impaler sheild from a locker in Arid Nexus Badlands

First world drop I had was a dpuh from the torgue badass in the bar, I screamed so loud. First ever legendary as well
Mine had to be one of my first UHVM runs, going through the story and when I got to the dam part of bloodshot stronghold, the first set of lockers dropped me a baby maker
Cant wait for this to eventually get past the crashy stage because no matter what i do or the mods i have or dont have installed, i can't play longer than 5 min without my game crashing, but for what i played this mod is amazing
My best world drop moment is definitelly getting a bee shield in a locker.

The Torgue turret/drone give me vibes of Wihelm's drones from Presequel and that makes me smile since that gave is sadly underrated!
I always appreciated the Wilhelm Rolling Thunder build(drone deals more damage the longer it is out, which can be extended by the capstone ability when killing marked enemies), where the drone's DPS could match yours and you'd compete with it to kill enemies the fastest.
Best world drop moment I had was when I was farming some chests for a better shotgun and I randomly got an on level kerblaster, that weapon had carried me thruout the normal mode
the one world drop that stands out is when i got a level 7 (i think) conference call from a bandit right under flynts arena
the first pearl I got was a world drop stalker from a cardboard box in ellie's garage and absolutely blew my mind when I realized how rare it was
