Pro tip on the bookmarks! If you write on them with black sharpie/permanent marker, you could use a black dry erase marker to erase/make changes. Just scribble over the sharpie and wipe with a Kleenex or white board eraser.
They work because there’s rubbing alcohol in dry erase markers… 😂

Genius idea to have the bills for specified pay check highlighted in same color as pay check/pay day. Love it!!
I really like this break down. I am a visual person. Since I was like 16 or 17 yrs old, I have always wrote down my bills. What I have to work now is putting where my money goes.
I do the same thing. I have a bookmark that I list my bills on. That way I can look at that instead of flipping back and forth. I never thought to make on for my subscriptions. Ima have to do that. Thanks for sharing!💞

Do you have a bookmark for the reminders section of calendar? 😬 that would work great for me!!! I always have to refer back to a calendar to see what I missed. I missed all my subscriptions on my calendar for July 😅 but I figured it out and added them. I would love that reminder as a bookmark

We get paid weekly so I add all bills and divide that total by 4. That way every week is the same amount for bills.

Cash stuffing works, y'all! Sometimes it takes a while to get the amounts to budget for each category right for you, but stick with it. Now I am retired on a fixed income I have found that inflation is just crazy these days, and if you are budgeting the same amounts each month for gas and groceries etc you are getting less for that amount, so if you find yourself havin shortfalls each month, don't give up and think it's not working for you!! I haven't seen inflation like this since the late 70s/early 80s when I was young adult just starting out.

That’s what I’m trying to achieve, how to color code the bills by paycheck. I’m bi-weekly but it always seem to be at least 2 bills that fall right before the 1st paycheck for the following month. Should I include that with that 2nd paycheck or include them with the 1st check from the next month? Hope I not confusing you or anyone
Depends on what works best for you. I do first check just because I have more bills in the middle of the month and only mortgage at the beginning.

You are spending more on eating out than putting in your 401k--Any credit person would tell you to ease up oon all the extras--pay off debts---then do the extras. This could go bust anytime.

How do you allocate funds for your payroll/income taxes? Are you setting a certain percentage aside for quarterly payments? Good overview of how to use the monthly budget book.
