I think Loic is quite unique because he composed his debut album watching movies without sound, he is inspired by images, colors, shapes, photographs. Melodies came in his head and then he recorded these melodies (without words) and after that, he wrote the lyrics. He has no musical training (he is a dancer, not a musician), no singing lessons, no music theory, no instrumental practice,... He is a multi-talented and freak-controll young man : composer, writer, choreographer, dancer, costumes desinger, creator of his shows. He loves darkness, horror movies, Halloween and he is very kind, humble and funny.

I love that he does everything. There’s no end to his talent, I hope he returns with a new album soon. His voice is totally unique and his shows are à complete universe. I love him. I miss his dancing. He moves with such passion that it’s hard not to fall in love with him ... and I’m a 38 year old married woman... I don’t care 😂

Thanks for reacting to Loïc Nottet. The way you pronounced his name at first (0:47-0:49) was right: Loweek Notteh. He is from the French speaking part of Belgium. This beautiful song is about the judgement he experienced when he was younger. He was different because he was interested in dancing and not in the usual boys' stuff like playing football and he also has a high speaking voice (a "girly" voice). That's why people were making fun of him, accused him of being gay etc. His voice is unique and I like it a lot. Unfortunately you could only show his photo in the video because I guess otherwise YT would block it but his contemporary dancing in this video is amazing.
He competed in the French version of "Dancing with the stars" in 2015 and won the show. There is a short musical on his channel "CANDY (long version)" for which he designed the costumes. So Loïc is really multi-talented.

hello! i wanted to thank you for taking the time to listen to this amazing boy! he has a beautiful soul, his first album is a masterpiece ! all the songs are connected and you have to listen in the order of the songs. There is an intro, a story and the end of one piece of music can be the beginning of the next piece of music .. the conclusion is often hard-hitting. he thinks about every tiny detail, from the costume to the choreography, he is constantly creating. I think I heard he saw colors when he heard sounds. amazing! cry out is an amazing song from his last album, in the first album you have "mirror" and nobody talks about it because there is no music video with those songs .. thank you again !!!

This is one my favorite songs by Loïc. Some other great songs are Mud Blood, Cry Out and 29. If you would like to hear something with a rap part then Poison or Dirty are the ones to listen to (but it's not Loïc rapping). He deserves to be a lot more popular.

His name is pronounced Loweek Nottay if that makes sense? He’s from Belgium and his first language is French which makes for some interesting pronunciations in some of his songs. Even though he speaks very good English. I love him. So happy to see you discovering his voice. He’s so unique. He’s also an amazing dancer and costume designer. He’s almost a one man show in himself. His performances are incredible. I saw him live in Brussels in 2019 and he’s a lovely young lad.

He is a big fan of Sia and covered several of her songs. Usually I suggest a reaction to his French song Mr/Mme but since you said that mostly ignore the lyrics when listening to a new song for the first time, I don't recommend it. Mr/Mme is all about the lyrics. You might enjoy his song "29". He wrote it after the break-up with his g/f that happened on an October 29. It's a slow melancholic and beautiful song.

its a under developed whistle tone. I have met him in person and gotten to work with him a few years ago. He has a vocal chord thats too tight and causes a vibra on a start of the whistle and creates 2 tones.
So his voice just naturally does that? That’s so crazy but really cool. I met him once in Brussels, he seemed really nice. He’s probably horrible to work with though because I can imagine he’s a bit of a perfectionist!
