Intro for 2003-2004 was the best in my opinion! And my introduction to Sky News, when I first got a digital subscription here in The Netherlands in 2004. But I also like the one from 2001-2002. But... I don't "get" the current intro, with all the headlines passing by quickly. What's the idea behind that? You can't really read any of them.
I really loved the common idents Sky used across their entire Sky TV network in 1995. Sky One, Sports, Movies, etc all had that same design as Sky News and it was great. The current design set for their channels in 2022 isn't as good IMO.

Not entirely, although the logo and the red and white color scheme yes. Sky News Australia is still using a slightly older version of the theme to this day
@@weissabgleich7447 I suspect it may have something to do with the fact that Sky News Australia is still under the ownership of Murdoch which up until 2017 owned Sky News UK. Although I actually still prefer it, it’s got the right balance whilst still embroidering the Sky News personally 👌

@@klaasklever4096 no, they still do it around Germany. They mostly do the tagesschau/tagessthemen/wochenspiegel/nachtmagazin when it is nighttime mostly and some of the programmes are done after midnight in Germany

I really miss Bruce Hammal's voiceover introduction of the programme and presenter. Great voice on the Sky TV ads too.

What is very interesting is the fact that the theme used from 89 to 95 was also used by WXIA, the NBC affiliate in Atlanta Georgia for there newscast.
That may be due to Rupert Murdock.
That's ironic given that NBC owns Sky nowadays.
