How long does it take for the state of the art machines to become obsolete?
My coin mining machine is a space heater/ air purifier that I now use to heat my house and I turned my oil heater off basically.
GREAT interview! It is refreshing to have a CEO admit and confirm he is looking for a low commodity price (BTC) so he can acquire dieing competitors very cheaply. A savvy business strategy that does not immediately benefit the retail Era BTC investors. The impatient retail investor (most of us) must still hope for a miracle, sovereign buyer probably, to create the God/omega candle. Unlikely, but still thrilling to hope for. HODLING and buying MARA as a hedge :-)
So, due to the higher liquidity the volatility decreases. But.. there is huge demand and OTC will run out of BTC. So, the price should explode in the coming months/years (shock supply). How does this rhyme with the dampening effect?!

After thinking about it,to answer my own question, the fees are paid out of the transactors Bitcoin that they already owned. So no new Bitcoin is created for the fees. Just the way Fred said it, confused me for a moment.

5:36 This guy's not understanding. He said the having doesn't affect the investor it really just affects the minor cause they get paid less per block. Yeah, that's why the price goes up. But now they're getting blocked subsidies. They don't need to sell for as high. Bitcoin price will stay lower because they don't need to sell it as high because they're making all the money from the block subsidies. I've already said this month ago
pomp makes no sense anymore...his argument for why % gains will be lower now that ETF is here makes absolutely zero sense...lower day to day volatility sure...but there is no coherent logic that makes more demand equal lower price
