  • Here are my five reasons plus one bonus for what makes the 2nd generation, 2006-2010 Yamaha Wolverine 450 4x4 such a fun quad. These were sleepers that not enough people were aware of in my opinion.

    I bought a 2008 for my son, he's 7. But the deal was good. Today I was gonna load it, wash it to list it for sale because I'm impatient and I want him to be able to ride with us... But I changed my mind, that quad is so slick... Just gonna have to wait for him to grow a bit more.

    Good video, I have an 06 2x4 350 version of it, that I’m about to get up and running again. It was such a fun quad to ride on tight trails! Aside from being imho, the best looking ATV in it’s era, I thought it was a highly capable, near ideal sporty trail riding machine.
    Bring it back Yamaha! 😎

      @@FunGoingFast Cool, so you would be the person to ask. As I have the 350 2WD, in your experience, is there any big advantage in having the 450 4wd (other than the obvious 4wd capacity) as a fun trail riding machine?
      Like does the extra weight of the 450 feel different on the trail and is there any significant difference in the the power or speed?
      As I have often thought about buying a 450 version if one was available.

      I have a 07 Yamaha Wolverine 350 2x4 since new. Happy I went with the sport version. I let it sit to long and need to clean out the fuel system. Might as well replace the petcock and rebuild the carbonator. The other issue is the front brakes, they seized, but released when I removed the brake fluid. Maybe water got in there. Anyways, appreciated this video and all the comments. Going to get my bike up and running and time to hit the trails!

    I found a few on Facebook marketplace but my question is how smooth do they ride I know they are solid rear axle Yamaha doe’s really good smooth riding solid axle I’m wondering if this machine ride’s good like other Yamaha machines Yamaha has the best cvt of them all they never burn belts one of my best friends had a grizzly 660 and his son got it stuck in thick sticky mud instead of burning a belt it broke the rear driveshaft you can’t break the ultramatic transmission it’s the best cvt out there they are easy to find if you know where to look there’s a bunch of them on marketplace here in Florida but if anyone can find one it’ll be my best friend Tim him and his wife used to be my neighbors they’ve been my friends for years he’s an expert on Yamaha atvs he can definitely find one I totally forgot about this atv I was going to look at a Polaris scrambler but the wolverine I totally forgot about

    • @FunGoingFast
      @FunGoingFast  Před rokem

      If you ride at a normal pace its fairly smooth, and super fun to drift. Once you start pushing it on rougher stuff you can notice the difference. And jumping off of unevern terrain. But it handles better than a Polaris and has a much lower center of gravity. And as you said they are incredibly durable. Good luck! I still regret selling mine.
