@@andrewclayterman6230 that's because the horse collars weren't horse collars. The first would have been had he not let go and tackled him otherwise. The second he was just yanked down by the back of his jersey. Now let's talk about the non unsportsmanlike call when UT's offensive tackle knocked over a Florida player 20 seconds after the whistle. The refs were bad, but, not about the non existent horse collars.

Tennessee is not quite there as far as being back to a national championship contender like they used to be.
It's really cool how Tennessee fans divide up into colors it looks really thought-out and interesting seeing it.

UT #15 Bru McCoy was wide open on that 4th down play @ 12:25. Hooker missed him. That would've saved a lot of anxiety for Vol fans.

I had flashbacks from the hail mary Florida beat us with in '17.
For some reason, the Vols have a bad habit of letting their opponents not only sneak back in the game, but also not trying to keep the ball in their control in the final few minutes.
Check out the Vols last possession. I knew what was about to happen. And it almost did.
No sense of urgency.
A "We won" mentality before the game is over.

A lot of good plays in our offense don’t get replays due to the speed in which we run the offense. Also cbs sucks.

If Florida somehow won that after the two point conversion that would be probably the craziest comeback of all time. But the Vols hold it and probably have there best team in 20 years, might have a shot with Georgia with this type of offense.

@David Irish yeah that’s why I said Tennessees offense, I don’t think there defense is very good I mean Florida moved the ball pretty easily through the air on Tennessee and Florida has been struggling with that all season. If Tennessee is gonna beat Georgia it’s going to be because of there offense.
No way, I'm a Vols fan and we looked terrible, Georgia is going to beat our ass, Richardson looked like Tom Brady out there, the DC needs to be fired, missed tackles, dumb penalties, i can see us winning all our games except Alabama and Georgia.

It was close though. UT's secondary is hot trash and Richardson almost pulled off the upset. Heupel isn't a genius but Tennessee is good overall but very exploitable weak spots.

Vols fan here-we almost blew it but a win against Florida has been rare so I’ll take it but we have got to fix that defense. Holy cow. Now to the gator fans saying “you’re 2-18 against us” it’s hilarious y’all bring up the past when as an overall program, UT is vastly ahead of UF in winning but I guess we can’t bring that up? Don’t be hypocrites. You had the upper hand lately in beating down and bad UT teams and honestly got lucky several times and ALMOST got lucky AGAIN but it finally went our way. If we can’t bring up our history of winning tradition, then you can’t bring up your history of beating down UT teams. UT has been owned by a lot of sec teams the last decade and a half in our down period, it’s not exactly something to brag about. But I guess keep pretending a football was invented in the 90’s. Go Vols!

#5 for Tenn’s Defense really needs to take a chill pill. He’s in everyone’s face, after every plays he’s even remotely involved in. Even when he gets barrel-rolled or boot-stomped, he jumps up in somebody’s face. He must really be small where it means most. Oh, and he’s small af too.

I’ll still never understand why Florida went for 2 when the score would’ve been 38-28, not 38-27/29 (with the 2 points). There was no benefit to go for 2 there as it still would’ve been been a two-score game. Had we kicked the XP, when we recovered the onside kick, all we would’ve needed was a FG to tie it (38-35). Really stupid, odd decision by Florida.
Then you need to read about the analytics behind that. The sheet says going for it there is the right move. fivethirtyeight has a good article on this if you're interested
I didn't get it at the time , but Napier explained afterwards that going for 1 would have been playing for overtime. He chose to go for the win instead. Its backed up by analytics so it did make sense actually.

Referee's should call the touchdown right away. The play will be reviewed anyway. This is the third game I've seen where nobody knows what's going on because the ref didn't make a call.
