    It's a beautiful watch but I wish Longines offered an exhibition casebook option for more of their models. I realize that's not everyone's thing, but after a certain price point I want to see the movement I'm paying a premium for.

  • @frogsplorer

    My bet is Longines will be the next Swatch collaboration in 2025. 100 year anniversary of the 1925 “zulu time”. International maritime z flag is yellow, black, blue and red - very swatchable. We’ve had chronograph and diver - time for a GMT

    • @georgefotiadis3787
      @georgefotiadis3787 Před rokem

      It could happen but if they priced the watch at 400$ or more as they did with the new blancpain,it will not be worth buying because the cheapest longines watch can be had for less than 800.

    • @frogsplorer
      @frogsplorer Před rokem

      @@georgefotiadis3787They’ll price it so that Swatch < xLongines < xOmega < xBlancpain. Sure they might not make as much from the swatches but the aim will be to highlight the heritage of Longines and boost sales there. Longines makes a lot of money for the swatch group

    • @frogsplorer
      @frogsplorer Před rokem

      Sorry to drone on but part of the aim of these swatch collaborations is to teach new watch enthusiasts about the heritage of the swatch group brands. The moonswatch teaches a new generation about the speedmasters space heritage. The Fifty Fathoms teaches people about Blancpain’s dive watch heritage. Look at a pie chart of swatch group sales. I think they will want to highlight Longines GMT heritage. Of course if they’re going to do that it has to come in cheaper than the Omega. Maybe they’ll make it smaller and quartz. Both the moonswatch and fifty fathoms are quite big. They may want to appeal to smaller wrists. I could be wrong of course, maybe they’ll do Breguet or Glashuette Original - but they don’t have the sales figures of Longines

    The date in place of the 6 ruins these Zulu watches. The applied Arabic markers look so nice, and the date spoils the look. And they need more options with silver instead of gold in the dial. The Titanium 42 was an "almost" watch ... just doesn't look right with gold. Big swing and miss by Longines.
