The temporary loss of abilities is a manifestation of uncertainty in Peter's desire to be Spider-Man. Leading a double life ruins his life as Peter Parker, which creates uncertainty. Throughout the film, the abilities are always with him, just his subconscious does not allow him to use them until he decides to become Spider-Man again.
PS Thanks to this, he survived the fall from the house: his body is still superhuman, he just can't use it 100% because of his mental state.

That’s like realising you can’t fit a gallon of water in a half gallon container, so you go get a larger two gallon container, and then try to put 4 gallons of water into it…

In actuality, MJ in this universe isn't a gold digger. She goes after popular men in the first movie because she has low self esteem from an abusive father.
Projecting their popularity and worth onto her, but she chooses Peter at the end of 1 because he was the only one to love her for her. (Harry wanted her to impress his father and Flash most likely liked her because she had a very passive personality from her low self esteem and her looks. Which is why he dumps her when she stands up to him for Peter.)

Until "Iron Man", these 2 Spider-Man movies were the best of the MCU.
The scene on the elevated train was the best scene, IMO, in either movie.
It said so much; no, it _showed_ so much. In that one scene it explained why Spider-Man is different from all the other SuperDuper Heroes.
    1) "He's just a kid"
    2) "We won't tell nobody"
    3) "You want him, you gotta go through me... and me... and me..."
Spider-Man was the People's hero. What's that famous line from Henry V? "We are but warriors for the working day"... in today's terms... blue collar hero. Not a bazillionaire playboy. Not a Nordic god, Not a space alien whose father was a planet. Not a cheat who got himself pumped up on drugs because he couldn't cut it as a soldier. Not a mad scientist who screwed up and got himself dosed green with gamma radiation.
Just a kid, who could be our son, our brother, our neighbor. Our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

Not really, Spiderman 2 is still at the top regarding a super hero that doesn't feel outlandish or CGI dependent. Disney can never create the heavy drama and dark elements as well as the phenomenal soundtrack that sets the mood in these OG movies. I'm not saying that Disney products suck, but they're aren't better than the first two spiderman movies.

I don't really even consider any of the movies prior to Iron Man as truly being in the MCU as we know it. I suppose they might be dragged in through some multiverse shenanigans in the near future, but I'd almost rather than that they didn't do it that way. Sure, maybe Andrew and Tobey will show up in No Way Home (thought I'm still pretty doubtful of that myself), but that doesn't mean they'll take up permanent residence in the MCU. And if the MCU decides to have a go at the X-Men or Fantastic Four, I think it would be better for those franchises to not be weighed down by all the previous movies, some of which were made before the MCU was even a glimmer in Kevin Fiege's eye.

Calling her a gold digger, sl@t shaming her, blaming her for having aspirations, blaming her for being placed in harms way despite that indirectly being Peter’s fault, ignoring that she cared about Parker for who he was long before knowing he was Spider-Man, suggesting she should be obligated to date and put out for some boy who simps for her despite him never stepping up and expressing that to her. Guess she should just know with Parker constantly giving her hope then pulling back and playing with her emotions. Granted we understand he is protecting her because of his secret but M.J. doesn’t. They even mocked M.J. while she tried to open up about why it was so important to her for him to show up at her performance. It’s her dream and his support means the most to her. First was with flash then they got break up ,and then with Harry and she kissed spiderman without knowing who is this guy , then break up with Harry and went to Peter but he rejected her and find herself Jamesons son and then left him went again to Peter and then when she was angry to him for kissing Gwen she did same thing with Harry and that his best friend . If you love someone you just don't go and kiss other people and be with them even it's temporary . Did she asked Peter why he can't come to her show at time ,and what is his problem ? No .
