When Richard said he brought the flowers bc John always used to bring Ellen flowers oh my gosh 🥺 John Spencer was such a special man. May he rest in peace
TWW was quite possibly American television's finest hour. I am a Brit and was totally addicted to it and also bought the complete 7 series on CD which I have watched over and over in sequence from start to finish. It had that rare mix of superb acting, script and story. It was totally believable and essential. At times the script was close to Shakespearian in its quality.
Also British, also own the complete TWW collection, also addicted. I watch the complete seven season run at least once a year without fail. It was the smartest, best written television i had ever seen, a show that didn't insult viewer intelligence and yet still managed to educate and entertain. One of the few shows that even after a decade and a half viewers cry out for more. I WANT MORE!
You are not alone. I just started this year and fell completely in love. I was in my early twenties when this was on, so i completely missed out. Thank Goodness for Netflix.
I am binge watching it too, but I noticed that Rob Lowe and Aaron sorkin left the show after the 4th season. Does the quality still hold up in the later seasons despite this? I hate pushing through episodes I'm disappointed in waiting for it to get better.
I've just watched a scene in the Oval, where the chairman of the Joint chiefs Fitzwallace says hello to CJ by addressing her as "Claudia-Jean" and without missing a she beat replies "Hello Sailor" and she is then admonished by Leo as she leaves. Utter perfection!!!!
i love the clip in the beginning and how ellen said "the inside workings of the white house" and it goes to them playing poker and President Barteltt giving inane trivia questions! that scene is one of my favs
There is one fruit... There is ONE fruit There is one fruit (that has its seeds on the outside -- what is it?) I say this...all the time...still...in 2012...even when people don't interrupt me.
Cynthia Ennis And it’s not just a political party thing-this show gave intelligent reasoning for both sides of important issues, which competently illustrated how important it is for bipartisan cooperation. In fact, the one mistake the show made was delaying a full time contract to Emily Proctor, who brilliantly portrayed Ainsley Hayes.
Thanks for posting! I love this show. I wish they'd bring it back. I was also huge fan of "Studio 60" and really disapointed they didn't give it a few more seasons. I think a 07/08, and 08/09 season would have been much better then the 06/07 season. They could really have worked with the elections. 5 stars
@wickedfreak4444 plus, and richard schiff does a great job of covering it here, he was miserable on set after aaron sorkin left. he felt the show went down the shitter and he hasn't watched an episode of the show past the 4th season, when sorkin left.
Wow... I hadn't heard that but it does make sense. I do wish they would have kept it going to see what a Santos administration would have looked like... There's chatter about a reboot with the possibility of Rob Lowe/Sam Seaborn as the new president... I'd still like to see a Santos administration.
@wickedfreak4444 ive jus finshed watching the last season and ive started to like some of the new characters like lou and annabeth. wud of been nice to see new characters mixed with old ones. they wud have some funny scenes with margaret as josh assistant.
Did Richard Schiff tell Ellen he wanted a date? Is this before Ellen came out or was he just being cheeky about the topic? (i know he didn't really want a date, obviously)
Truth Will Out Loved him! I don’t know how they ever finished a scene as he was so funny. Great actor! Loved him in A Midsummer’s Night Dream in 1999. He played so many great parts. Roger Rees, passed in 2015. He is missed.
@wickedfreak4444 i think they should have let vinick win and then they could have done the next 4 years from a republican perspective. that would´ve been interesting.
But the majority of fans who stuck with the show thru the whole 7 seasons are liberal. Watched the first show and the last and all the others in between. When John Spencer died felt as if I had lost a friend. But I could tell he was sick.
I have all seven seasons and I'm so disappointed because in season seven 2 of the dvds won't play, the live debate and the transition disc. It's like not knowing if Gilligan ever gets rescued, it's painful, I know I can catch it on netflix I just haven't
You know, I'd forgotten how much I disliked the woman, C.J. I find her irritating and not attractive at all. My wife tried to get me to watch "Mom", but I can't cause she's on it.
When Richard said he brought the flowers bc John always used to bring Ellen flowers oh my gosh 🥺 John Spencer was such a special man. May he rest in peace
I think this aired may, 2006. How times flies.

I couldn't have said it better. I am a Spaniard and also totally addicted.

i am a late bloomer. Started binging this show last weekend, and I hate myself for waiting this long.
Lucky you. You have some great days ahead. I am watching it for the 5th or 6th time.
me too
You are not alone. I just started this year and fell completely in love. I was in my early twenties when this was on, so i completely missed out. Thank Goodness for Netflix.
Same!

I feel sorry for the actors as they never got to know how awesome the series was from a viewer's perspective.

Without doubt the best 7 season dramatic show ever. I have the 7 seasons DVDs and watch it often!
There is no competition. This is the greatest drama ever.
When I grow up I either want to be a chemist or I want to be C.J. Craig.
There is one fruit...

OMG,.... I MISS THIS SHOW SOOOO MUCH,.... ESPECIALLY NNOW!!!!!!
S. T. Martin RIGHT?!?! Me too!

I am binge-watching this show right now. Just finished the second season. I can't stop! This may well be my most favorite TV show of all time.
I watch it all the time!
Absolutely
Two of Dayton's best, Martin Sheen and Allison Janney.
the west wing is the greatest show ever and c.j is the bet character
Alison is wearing the outfit that CJ wears in one of her last episodes!
Thanks for posting!
I love this show.

I agree 👍
I watched the series when it was on TV and have been rewatching it, and oh, I so miss the great cast, great dialogue.....
One of the best television shows ever.
It’s a shame the West Wing, show ended. It was a great cast. Each episode was excellently played. Very believable..
HBO, Max!!
Love Allison. She really is a fantastic person and actress.
There are two fruits with their seeds on the outside, the strawberry and the cashew.
I thought cashews were legumes not fruit.
Yeah, me too.
Cashew is not a fruit! The only one with seeds in the exterior is strawberry
CJ was such an amazing character.
I kept cleaning my glasses watching this.
Love these people and this show!
One of the best series EVER!
I am going to learn that handshake =D
@wickedfreak4444 plus, and richard schiff does a great job of covering it here, he was miserable on set after aaron sorkin left. he felt the show went down the shitter and he hasn't watched an episode of the show past the 4th season, when sorkin left.
The one fruit is the strawberry 🍓!
Intimate and sweet, those people are. So rare!
Love them
Now, I wanna go see Apocalypse Now.
aww wanted to see john spencer clip
Dag-blasted, I wanted to see the Ellen clip on John Spencer.
Best show ever.
I love Mr Pumkinhead :)
Will this be on as extras on the Blu-ray edtition?
The JOHN SPENCER montage is in part 2!
@AoifeeFerguson Yeah! Great writing, great cast, with some very interesting stories. I have watched all 12 seasons it is very good television.
I love The West Wing. Ellens hair back then was nice.
Ma série préférée !!!!
i read that vinick was supposed to win, but after spencer passed away they changed it to santos so the audience wouldn't be too sad.
steamedturtle How does that help?
Read that too.
Wow... I hadn't heard that but it does make sense. I do wish they would have kept it going to see what a Santos administration would have looked like... There's chatter about a reboot with the possibility of Rob Lowe/Sam Seaborn as the new president... I'd still like to see a Santos administration.
Wendy Thompson Haas if you listen to the podcast The West Wing Weekly, they go into detail about that very topic. It’s fantastic.
SUPER, SUPER CAST!
strawberry!!
Best drama tv show ever
LOVE!

What's with Brad making faces when Janel talks? LOL
Nice to.see Bradley dressed up for the occasion
You've got extra stuff as anyway,
I wateched Wickedfreak4444 parts, then jumped to your videos.
Did Richard Schiff tell Ellen he wanted a date? Is this before Ellen came out or was he just being cheeky about the topic? (i know he didn't really want a date, obviously)
She's been out since 1997, the show didn't start till early 2000s I think.
@AoifeeFerguson I am the hugest fan of TWW, but I reckon NYPD Blue is just about as good.
LORD JOHN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
His scenes, were just pure gold!! There's compilation of all his appearances on TWW around here somewhere.
Truth Will Out Loved him! I don’t know how they ever finished a scene as he was so funny. Great actor! Loved him in A Midsummer’s Night Dream in 1999. He played so many great parts. Roger Rees, passed in 2015. He is missed.
Lord John Marberry xxxx
wow so clear.
Clearest pixel on CZcams!
How pretty is Ellen here? A naturally beautiful woman.
This comment didn't age well😂😂😂
When did this aire?
Was this filmed with a potatoe, or two?
Wow, the resolution of the video is appalling...... I can barely see the shapes of humans in it.
@wickedfreak4444 i think they should have let vinick win and then they could have done the next 4 years from a republican perspective. that would´ve been interesting.

Name tags? Really?
I wish they wud of kept show goin after Santos became the new president
They did! It was called the Obama Administration
Pumpkin head 😆
Love The West Wing, and also love Sorkin's other more recent show, The Newsroom. Equally wonderful.
@WoodBlock707 FRINGE ALT world!!! West Wing goes up to season 11 and he gets re-elected!!!!! sorry Geek moment!!
I saw that!! Amaaaaazing
240p was the best you could manage?
Il manque donna

mandyyyyyy :(
Duck trump
Terrible video quality in this video
Richard’s character was useless.
You know, I'd forgotten how much I disliked the woman, C.J. I find her irritating and not attractive at all. My wife tried to get me to watch "Mom", but I can't cause she's on it.
Allison Janney
Your loss.
