- Before the final three compete for the speed record we see the Dapol Black Label A4 performing, a fantastic model with sound and a smoke unit. We also see a surprise Gresley loco competing, a very interesting and rare model. Then we see the final and one A4 is crowned as the winner of this fun contest.

The A4s are beautiful, make no mistake. If I had a favourite A4, she would be Mallard. I love LNER engines and LMS engines alike, but the type I love above those is from God's Wonderful Railway. You said you needed to give City of Truro a proper run. I hope you'll let her run for me, because she's my beloved steamy daughter. True, I love her more than Foxcote Manor, but they both share top spot in my heart with each other.
Good on ya mate I love your honesty regarding the purists about precision modeling it’s meant to be fun and I think you keep it that way
What an absolute hoot. Extremely enjoyable.
What an entertaining series Stewart. And what a cracking effort from 60034! Like you said, off to works to replace some lost rivets no doubt after cracking 167 mph. That Dapol model is great - ignore the detractors, it’s a model, let’s be grateful for it. Thanks also for the archival clips. Looking forward to the 9F trials.
Thanks Andrew your comments are greatly appreciated ,

Good presentation Stewart
Unexpected result (for me), Stewart. Thought the Dapol would win - mine did - but - they're all different! Great series, many thanks - have really enjoyed. All the best...........Reinhard
Thanks Reinhard much appreciated,
take care

Hi Stewart,
What a very entertaining series this has been and its a shame the views fell away some what but notice that happens with even a 2 part vid not withstanding I have watched everyone you are a lucky man with all those super A4s I have a long way to catch up as only have the Mallard in Railroad but it does have sound at least will look forward to the 9F's now that is a locomotive I do not have and as a last thought the winner at 167 mph would almost give the T.G.V. a run for its money some locomotive the A4 was, keep safe and well but you there in Queensland are a lot better off than we our as we are going up very badly.
Cheers Robert.
Hello Robert thanks for watching and your support, yes you are right about the viewing numbers its a slow slide after the initial episode, never mind I enjoy making them (most of the time !), I don't monetise my videos either, I've added "Empire of India" to the collection since these were made as well ! As regards this virus although we are better off than you its come at a price with borders closed between the states shortages of various things and when will we see International travel again - sometime never by the looks of it ! Our daughter is locked in Melbourne under the most draconian rules since East Germany and the communist block ! Thanks again Robert and I will try and say hello on your next live session, take care mate

Thanks Stewart,
I have several Hornby A4's though only one is tender drive.
Coincidentally it is the R2136 'Commonwealth of Australia' which I managed to import from your lovely country a few years after my last visit in 1997!
I wonder how it would compare on you speed test - lol
Great video and nice video 👍👍
As you say Stuart .. a superb model in looks and sounds , think Dapol sure pulled the prize with these model A4’s , no shortage of power with a good rake on ... that die cast model was something different ... The Gathering !! 167 mph that’s moving some ..
Thanks Dave, love your layout too have been avidly following your rebuild, amazing there is a shortage of nickel to make Peco track, what a different world we are living in ! Thanks for your support Dave all the best to you and your wife
