@@Garyj1784 Hello there! How sweet that you recognized me! I adore Leo - he's so dang funny! What a super kind thing to say about my musical taste. Thanks so much for commenting! ❤✌🎵
He sings with such passion. Great reaction, it makes a huge difference when you feel the music and lyrics. Music is where we can all come together and see just how much we have in common as humans.
This song always reminds me of my first love, 58 years ago (I've been married to my one and only husband for over 55 years) I'm 74 now. I was the one to break it off, but I never understood what it meant to miss someone like your first love. It brings tears to my eyes every time I hear this song.
Lewis Capaldi is a phenomenal human. Listening to his songs you’d think he’s deep and brooding but he’s goofy and hilarious in his interviews. I absolutely adore him.
Thanks Jamel. Lewis Capaldi is fabulous. He's Scottish. My son introduced me to his music. His songs are very deep. Thank you. 🎶👍. By the way their is nothing wrong with being too nice. If their was only more like you. 🎶👍
There is though, because women don't want too nice. Women say they want a nice guy, but they don't, they want an edgy guy who is a challenge. Look at every female romance story, it's about the bad guy who is changed. Too nice get's you in the friendzone and too nice get's you hurt as a guy. Sadly, but it's facts.

This song always hits me hard. It's trite, but "losing your best friend" really is one of the hardest parts of a relationship ending, especially when the other person is the one you would normally turn to when you're hurting. This song captures that specific loneliness so well.
I generally go for stuff that’s a bit rockier than this, but I have to say that Lewis has quite an amazing voice. His use of rasp, distortion, and vocal fry sounds natural, not forced at all, and he can go from that to silky smooth at the drop of a hat. This song pretty much hooked me on him. Glad you enjoyed it, Jamel.
His voice doesn't fail to give me chills. The rasp, the emotion, the control, it's all stunning. I've never been cheated on, or have I cheated on anyone, but it doesn't prevent me from feeling his anguish and desperation. Hopefully Driver's License by Olivia Rodrigo will be on your list, this song is shattering records.

Theres a video clip of Lewis on the Graham Norton show and it's really funny. He's such a humble and extremely talented guy. His songs Bruises and Hold me while you wait are great too
Daughtry nailed this. His rendition is spot on. I love alicia keys for so many reasons. She's a brilliant lyricist, a good pianist, and a peaceful person. She certainly gets an A for effort on her vocals ...but listening to her makes my ears bleed. Ugh. She's strains so much to the point of screaming instead of singing and she's off key most of the time. I. Just. Can't.

I used to be able to make music from my heartbreaks until I met the one that I just can’t get over...it’s as if she stole the part of my soul that made me able to heal through music...
In an interview with the French magazine Brut, Lewis revealed he wrote the song about his grandmother who had died. For me the video is about the people we surround ourselves with that have the strength when we don't and help us continue to make the right decisions in moments of fear or hardship. In the moment we often choose to ignore friends and family, thinking our judgement is better, but of course in hindsight when you're in that headspace it's almost impossible to make the right decisions. ❤️😁🏴

He says that getting all the emotion out in the songs helps keep him balanced. I am just blown away by his voice though, and his talent in writing and playing as well.
One of the things I liked about this video was the way people kept going out of their way (literally) to help him and intervene. He didn't seem to see them, but they were there for him all the same. I thought that was very deep as well. While we are hurting we may think we're alone, but there are likely people who would be there wanting to help you through what you are dealing with. Again, thanks for your honest and heartfelt reactions. Maybe check out his Before You Go video too :-)
Tyler Perry did a great video from one of his plays. (Let Em Go). Madea talks about the leaves on a tree, some people are like leaves and sway in the breeze and then fall away. It’s not their fault, they were made to be leaves. Then there are branches, branches, branches can fool you into thinking they are trees, you gotta be careful of them. But if you can find someone who is a root, you have a good one there. He also states that he would rather be alone then come home to a house that has no peace.
I was just flat shocked when I first heard his voice. For me he is along the lines of Chris Stapleton or Adel. They are their own genre. His voice is haunting and powerful, and has become a favorite. You & your channel have been a fave for a few years. Thank you.

Maybe check out his Before You Go video too :-)
As a fellow Scot, Lewis is a typical Scottish guy . Likes a good laugh and general pisstake 🤣🤣.. Great voice and personality
Thank you.
