  • This is how you can test if the bearings in your washing machine have failed and need replacement.
    Keep an eye out for how I change the bearings; also I selected the bearings to use.

    Hey , I have a 9 year old bosch serie 4 wshing machine and it squeaks really bad when I turn the drum clock wise or anti clockwise . Is this a sign of a bad drum bearing ?

    Incorrect. You need to check the play between the inner basket and outer drum. Just push back the inner part of the door boot.

    my drum making a awful noise but mine has hydraulics in them so it moves around like susupension is there any other methods to see if it’s the bearing. cheers

      If it’s making a loud noise on spinning, the bearings are bad. Try spinning the drum from the inside and see if it’s making unusual sounds.

      @@reviewsfixeshacksmunsur3805 it’s a beko probably shouldn’t of said hydraulics there shock absorbers so the whole drum moves around. i have checked that but seems solid could it be the pump it’s almost like a squeaky noise ?

    • @reviewsfixeshacksmunsur3805
      @reviewsfixeshacksmunsur3805  Před rokem

      @@mrr-ee6ui Hi, the drum is held from the top by 2 springs, Check these. They are on shock absorbers at the bottom, also check these are correctly fixed.
      A thumping/ banging sound when machine is operating would indicate spring or shock fault.
      The pump makes a grinding sort of sound as it works. If you had a pump problem the washing machine would not drain. You can check that there are no obstructions at the pump where there will be a flap covering a screw on lid. Unscrew, water will come out so have towels ready. Then check there is nothing jamming the pump impeller. Also spin the impeller by hand and it should spin round in clicks.

    Sir. When I pushing my drum from inside center it moving front and back is it a drum issue or bearing

      When the washing machine is on is it making a loud noise whilst spinning?

    • @reviewsfixeshacksmunsur3805
      @reviewsfixeshacksmunsur3805  Před 2 lety

      What I can say is that it should not be moving. If you can confirm it’s making a loud sound whilst spinning on a wash cycle, then that confirms that the bearings are damaged. Also if you were to begin the dismantling process it would be very apparent what the issue is when there is drum movement.

    • @gokulvenkat8490
      @gokulvenkat8490 Před 2 lety +1

      Usual spinning noise and movement drum front and back make a noise at the start and end of spin

    • @reviewsfixeshacksmunsur3805
      @reviewsfixeshacksmunsur3805  Před 2 lety

      It sounds more like either the spider (a part connected to the back of the drum) is damaged or the drum has disconnected from one of the dampers underneath the drum.

    • @reviewsfixeshacksmunsur3805
      @reviewsfixeshacksmunsur3805  Před 2 lety +1

      Yep. The noise your hearing is because you continued to use while bearings had failed. What you now have is on the spin cycle you get a loud rumbling sound. What washing machine do you have?
