- Yes! Laziness will get you fired by a customer and never called back again. When conducting a lawn care, lawn mowing, or landscaping quote it is imperative that you as a lawn care business owner really pay attention to the details. Paying attention to the home siding damages or broken windows and broken gate latches.

Man I just had a customer a week ago accuse me a damaging her siding and fence! She's a great customer but I don't know why she thought to blame me for the damage to her property, but she wants me to spray RoundUp on the perimeter of the lawn close to the house to prevent future damage but I'm not going to do it cause it will only cause another issue. So in the future I'm photographing anything questionable before servicing the lawn...
I don't charge extra for doing a quality job either 😉
Wzup Johnny , great content! Me and another landscaper was just talking about how other companies rush out of these properties. I said the same thing why rush? We all know why but…. When you rush you’re going to end up not doin quality work , break something or lose something.
You're right!
I always pull the grass behind utilities and throw the grass back into the lawn. I put weeds in trash bags to prevent those weeds to spread.
You are a book of wisdom. Have a nice spring!
I love watching you perfect your clients home. So beautiful and well done
Thank you so much!
@@Bladesofgrasslawncare My pleasure ❤️🔥
Johnny! Thank you for the advice! I created an estimate and included that in it. Some people think that we shouldn’t go I to too much detail, but I find that doing detail estimates, make the potential customer realize exactly how much work goes into every now.
Great work Johnny and an EXCELLENT statement about edging cracks in the driveway. It’s a part of the edging price so why charge extra. As usual your edging and mowing are Nice and Crisp 💪🏾.
Thank you very much!
Great video from beginning to end! Hadn't seen one this long from you in a while. Thanks and keep up the great work👍🏾
More to come, thanks!
Great information about doing a walk through when doing a property for the first time. Nobody else mentions that, to document all the existing damage to cover our butts! Thanks for your videos and greetings from Pensacola Florida, @Turf Tenders Lawn Service LLC.
Learning so much from you. I appreciate you sharing your work!👍🏿
Johnny, You did a fantastic job, especially all the detail work. If I had a yard I'd hire you tomorrow and never let you go! #StayBlessed. #ContinueToBeABlessingToOthers
Always enjoy your videos, your enthusiastic and enjoy your work. Not to mention you pay attention to detail and take pride in your work. All of these great qualities seem to be getting rare in our country. 🙏🏻✌🏻🇺🇸
I appreciate that!
Hey there Johnny I just subscribed to your channel and gave it a thumbs up. I’ve been watching so many of your videos, I just had to subscribe. I’m not a lawn business but I love yardwork and do my own trimming, edging and blowing my own yard. I’ve been using a sickle before the grass trimmer was invented; yup I’m getting up there in years (67yo) but still going strong. We cut our yards year round here in Hawaii. I’m on the Windward side of the island of Oahu and we do get quite a bit of rain so that means more grass cutting but everything is really green all year round without watering. Most yard services here in Hawaii uses mostly Shindaiwa equipment and Stihl equipment as a second choice, Echo is the next preferred brand. They usually only cut once a month here in Hawaii. I cut at times bi-weekly or weekly and the neighbors think I’m nuts but it’s a good work out for me and I like a fresh neat cut yard.
I’m a retired car and motorcycle mechanic and work on all of my power equipment. I have 2 Shindaiwas, 1 Murayama and 1 Kawasaki line trimmer and an Echo blower with a Toro mower (hardly use it). Planning to go with an electric setup but going with the Milwaukee 18 volt set up with all of the attachments just to use around my house so doesn’t have to be a commercial grade but something better that a toy. 1 Shindaiwa and my Kawasaki trimmers are 21+ years old and they still fire up in 1 or 2 pulls. Never have to do major work on them, simple things and they keep on running. My Maruyama is only a year old and I really like it with the turbo mode, it’s like a cruise control on a car. I always pay attention to detail (maybe OCD?) I’m going to try out one of those DARWIN’S GRIP and going to try out the Oregon Green Round Gator .095 line. I see these items on your videos and they look good to use. I usually use .105 line but going to try downsizing to .095. I know you use .080, but I think it’s a little small for my application. I do use Shindaiwa fix heads on all of my trimmers with 4 strings and they last the whole front, back and side yards. I have family living up in Atlanta Georgia; cost of living in Hawaii is too high for a lot of us in Hawaii. Take care on that side and Aloha and Mahalo from Hawaii.
Great work, you are making my 4 hours of chemo treatment go by faster, God bless you 🙏
Hope that you get well soon, thanks!
Very nice, crisp, sharp presentation, Johnny. Attention to detail, as always, first class. Many thanks for sharing with us. Take care 🌟🌟🌟
My pleasure!
It's that time again. We'll be over at Chatham Pkwy in the a.m.
You know where. Be safe out there!
Hope to see you sometime.
Great job man, always do that walk around!
Johnny, your a excellent lawn guy and I'm a subscriber, I've learned a great deal from you a wish you the very best, brother. Keep the video clips coming, please.
I appreciate that!
Ay man, keep grindin'! Glad to have another long video up to watch! :)
Appreciate it!
You're the man brother. Love your videos, I've learned a lot from you. Thank you for your time!
I appreciate that!
Hi Johnny I agree with you do the job right the first time having to do it again will cost you time and money.
I agree!
smooth as butter, calm as a cucumber, soothing video, a real pro, respect
Wow, thanks
@@Bladesofgrasslawncare YW thanks for the entertainment, you gotta a way about you, so calm, I don't know if you realize that or not, I find it very calming watching your vids, even the way you put your gloves on and change batteries. You seem to have peace in your soul.
Good job Johnny great work mate 👍🇬🇧
Thank you very much!
Beautiful work done.
Thank you so much 😀
Great job.enjoyed video. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Great job 👍 great advice 👏
Thanks for watching!
I have a lawn care tip how much should I charge a person for there lawn
Do you use battery hedge trimmer? And if you do what brand.
Do you park in a trailer park for tractors? I'm trying to find a secure lot for my equipment.
For me the grass in the cracks is an upsell because I also don't cut behind anyone's AC line... Additional charge for non selective herbicide for all these areas about once every three months during the growing season For my lawnstarter customers through the app. for my private customers grass killing and non vegetative areas is included in the price.
Good job
Thanks
Can You Do A House Tour And Lawn Care Setup???
Great job. Keep up the good work. How do you like the stand on mowers?
Love the stand on mowers, thanks!
@@Bladesofgrasslawncare I am looking at buying my first one this year.
How do you like the Darwin Grip? I like to concept if it really works and saves on the back but havent really seen any feed back on them? Any info on the product?
It's a must have for my company and I believe in it so much that I have a link and a discount code in this video description
You do excellent work and your commentary is very educational. I do wish, however, that you used a stationary camera on a tripod as your body cam makes me so dizzy with motion sickness.
Quick question, are those some kind of aftermarket handle attachment on your trimmers or are they factory options that husqvarna offers?..
After market Trimmer Handle at DARWIN'S GRIP: www.darwinsgrip.com/ use code: "BLADES10" for a 10% discount
I’m assuming your using the KMA 135 while edging and trimming. Seems like it has no issues cutting through while edging. Does a battery last you throughout the day?
Nah... This is an Husqvarna trimmer and the battery last me 5 to 7 properties
@@Bladesofgrasslawncare …. Wow that’s pretty impressive if your edging and trimming those 5-7 properties. I’m going to have to look into those, Thanks.
Hello Ricardo
I like to call it a “Wiper Sniper”. (Australian here)
We call them whipper snippers in Australia, no one I know calls them a wiper sniper. They don't wipe anything and they certainly are not a sniper.
Got the RUN DMC reference.
💯👍
Hi where can i buy the handle for the huski weedeater??

You mentioned all your cleanups are a minimum of your hourly charge. That is on top of what your service charge is correct?
Correct!
@@Bladesofgrasslawncare Love your videos. Learning a lot.
Question: do you raise your charges due to gas being expensive
Yes
Thats a cool vid
Thanks!
How did you make your logo. The little man logo that looks exactly like you if you were a cartoon. It is very professional and am looking for ideas to make my business card more professional

So the trailer comes with all the extras?
Yes
Them all your vehicles? I seen that old school caprice or impala
Looking good as always I also do lawn service
How's the truck tour challenge going
Will film and post today
How long do the batteries last ? On the husqvarna trimmers ?
It depends on what you're doing. On weekly maintenance it last 5 to 6 homes for me
@@Bladesofgrasslawncare that is actually pretty good thanks for the info, I ended up buying a ego commercial trimmer last year lucky to get 2 yards done with it , it's very nice and light but batteries not lasting and the actual price of the batteries makes me hesitant to invest more into electric products.
How many batteries do you use on trimmer and edger in a whole day of working ?
3
@@Bladesofgrasslawncare thanks looking into getting me one, specially how grass prices are going right now.
Whats the model on it forgot to ask ?

Roof insulation and an solar roof vent as well
You charge for Edging and Cutting the grass sir ?? Like Grass one price And Edging Another ?
No, it's all inclusive
@@Bladesofgrasslawncare How Much You charge all together For it, im just trying to get an idea Because I’m starting one
Hello Johnny
Hello, Sir!
How much you want for the trailer?
$1,400.00
Forget that man! I can buy a brand new 6'8" x 14' utility trailer here in Tennessee for $1,200!
Okay
Those defender racks are about another $600-$700 in value, not to mention the cage in the front. That trailer is probably sold by now, great value!
