    Should have measured the thread length on the torsion bar adjuster before undoing, makes it a whole lot easier resetting it when everything goes back on and the ride height is the same both sides.

    Tenho aqui no Brasil uma VW Caravelle Diesel 2.4 ano modelo 1998/1999 com 72.000 Km rodados, tudo original de fábrica VW Alemanha, as pastilhas de freios ainda são as originais de fábrica e nunca foram trocadas. Obs:- Estou precisando daquela guiazinha que fica no batente da porta de correr lateral, trata-se de uma pecinha de plástico preto que fica presa no batente para receber o encosto da porta, é uma peça guia que encaixa direto no buraco do batente , é uma peça de plástico ou baquelite pequena que serve somente como guia para a porta de correr se fechar corretamente, se puderem me informar como faço para comprar ficarei mui grato.

      In this case, torsion bars are installed in the car in front of the suspension, so starting from 1:04 minutes it was he who released the torsion bar.

      That's the torsion nut. You undo it to release tension at the hub end. If you don't then when you separate the actual hub from its mounting points the upper arm will come down at speed and will hurt anything in its way. Usually though these torsion nuts are seized so undoing them like in this video isn't going to happen.

    • @danielhope6427
      @danielhope6427 Před 5 lety +1

      @@Ruskinrowe12 Its the Torsion bar adjusting bolt sets the ride height of the front of the car. If you do undo it make sure the car is on axle stands as the bolts are often really rusted and if the T section at the top of the thread pops out then the whole van will drop and crush anything underneath.

    Only i noted a fact that it is written in title "rear" and dude does a front one? Come on. I know how to do front end anything with closed eyes. But I'm looking for some inspirations for rear since I do not like idea of taking whole wishbone out to pres and I do not have a hand press with sufficient reach so I wanted details on how it's all assembled in rear end. I guess it's again time to open service manuall... 😱 no lazy ways around cause people breaking the Internet with miss naming their content...
