I totally agreed with you on this one. Patti and Whitney were both great in their interpretations of the song. Whitney's rendition was very tender and Patti was simply in your face. I'm glad Labelle did not attempt to approach the song like Whitney because they're two completely different types of singers. I love both ladies and enjoy what they each gifted us with musically.
