To become a player of this caliber it takes insane amounts of discipline, and to take the next steps to stay at the top, it takes another insane amount of discipline, so you are 100% correct .....it is inspiring.

How many people say that something is inspiring only to remain the same for the most part?

Same with waking up late and watching tv before work rather than getting up earlier and meditating and making a proper healthy breakfast. Doing things that have a long term benefit are so worth it compared to the short term fun of eating junk or laying around all day rather than exercising and stretching and meditating. Feeling good, and calm and healthy most of the time is just so much better than any of the "fun, pleasurable" things that have negative impacts on you. Be it physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally, whatever. Knowing your body is key and he has mastered it. Gluten, dairy and processed sugars are inflammatory. My body noticed a change especially when giving up dairy. You are an optimum healthy machine Novak!
Important to note that, there’s absolutely no reason for you to copy this diet UNLESS you are also really sensitive to the mentioned products. People tend to just follow blindly
Processed sugar, processed dairy products, flour based products, they are ALL TOXIC and POISONS to HUMAN'S BODY IN GENERAL. Stop eating sugar, process dairy products, gluten (processed flour) is the BEST FOR YOUR BODY. But i agree, not to follow blindly. Vegan and eating vegetables, plants and seed based diet is dangerous for your body. Not eating animals based food is dangerous.
On the contrary, if most of the world's population implemented elements of Djokovic's diet philosophy (no processed food, no refined sugar, no dairy, no animal products), it could go a long way to reducing the burden of obesity, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes and cancer. It could also do wonders for climate change that is threatening to end human civilization within our lifetime.
It's already a thing to be talented at something at a point you can be consider the best in the world in the field. But on top of that, he works super super hard and also include a sublime discipline to his diet. We have to bow down in front of that kind of greatness. Federer in his prime, didn't even have a coach with him on the tour. Why would he need one while he is crushing everybody. But thinking back now, I think this Djokovic's discipline might be the separator between him and Roger. I'm a die hard fan of Federer, I began to watch tennis because of him. For a lonnnnnnggg time my answer was Federer.....when people asked me who's the GOAT of tennis. I'll admit it myself, I probably said it a bit too long. I love Federer what can you do? :) But now, Djokovic is the greatest. And it doesn't even make me sad to say it, it's the hard thruth. I thought nobody could dominate like Federer did between 2004 and 2007....was I wrong loll My best still be Federer of course, he's a good ambassador of the sport. But in a total brute and beast mode athlete, Djokovic is climbing up there at the top of one of the biggest sportsman to ever practice a sport. This one hurt loll Thanks for reading.

This guy is an ultra example of ‘My body is a temple’ and it helps explain his trenchant attitude regarding covid vaccination (missing from a hatful of slams he probably would have won and yet his slam total still makes him the indisputable GOAT). He gets a lot of flak and sometimes outright hostility directed towards him (why are so many tennis fans SO tribal). I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching every one of the ‘big three’ as well as Andy whose injuries precluded a bigger slam haul but who was nevertheless beautiful to watch. As a tennis fan since I watched my first tennis match as a child (1971 Wimbledon ladies final ) I have enjoyed every minute of this era and especially Djokovic’s sublime talent and discipline.

Spinach, chia seeds, quinoa, dates are all high oxalate foods that can cause kidney stones. Oxalates can be reduced by upto 60% by boiling in water. They can also be eliminated to a good extent by combining them with a good calcium source often found in dairy like curd or milk. I'm really glad you made this video because it seems that many newer fans of Nole aren't aware of his early history of quitting or gassing out, and they don't understand why Nole was/is not as popular as they think he should be. I remember well when he started on the tour, and I really disliked him because of the quitting and the relatively frequent lack of desire or ability to finish without petering out. I'm a big tennis fan. I followed Novak closely from his really days. In 2010 I developed a severe form of Lupus. A disease that compromised my immune system. This caused a serious gluten-intolerance. I didn't know what the problem was. None (0) of my Drs. could tell me why I was having trouble recovering. I saw how Novak overcame his problem and figured out what was wrong with me. I think a medical professional would have eventually figured it out. But, I'm glad I didn't have to wait.
Tell me which governments recommend plant based diets over meat. Also, are they the same governments that recommended everyone get vaccinated for Covid?

This could have been simply stated in the first minute. Djokovic's health and performance improved when he removed gluten and dairy products. It improved even more when he dropped meat. In other words Djokovic is vegan/plant based and his performance is the best it has ever been. I think he stretches a lot too.
Picking a diet for health reasons is nice, and it speaks to the discipline. On the other hand, what I find more respectable is when people change their diets for noble reasons, e.g. not supporting factory farms or the destruction of rain forests for animal feed.
That is not all animal farming. It is only intensive farming that uses palm oil products. Real original free range humane farming, like regenerative farming never requires outside feed and weird supplementary feeding. Regeneration farming is better for the earth than any other farming including the millions of acres used to grow GMO and pesticide drenched corn and wheat, and disgusting inflammatory seed oils.

That's a mistake. Red meat is the healthiest food by far, bar none. There's a reason why carnivore heals and gives life back to so many individuals. You should try it for a couple weeks or a month. I think you'd be surprised how much you've been lied to.

To become a player of this caliber it takes insane amounts of discipline, and to take the next steps to stay at the top, it takes another insane amount of discipline, so you are 100% correct .....it is inspiring.
But is it, though? Or is it just the feeling? Because I'd argue that unless many people truly agree with this statement and start incorporating a high level of discipline or work towards that, the statement just falls to feelings.
How many people say that something is inspiring only to remain the same for the most part?

Its like drinking, its fun, but the negative effects it has on my body totally out weigh the fun i have getting drunk, so i've stopped drinking and i have 0 regrets about it. And when you get used to that, you realize how much more fun doing healthy things like hiking is now that i'm in a good mood and its easy to hike rather than a strain.
If you want to lose weight, it may help you to think about this: "What feels better and healthier to you: Being hungry, or being stuffed?"

Novak is a great diet exemplar. He will likely live long on a vegan diet and have better energy for playing tennis and life. Bravo, Novak!
100%, he’s also reducing animal suffering and helping to heal the planet, both of which are causes that are dear to heart!
He's not vegan
He has a plant-based diet as he calls it. He doesn't do it because he believes it's cruel or wrong to eat animals lol
He's not vegan 😂 thankfully for his health
hes not a vegan he eats fish
I do this diet, and it changed my life, I feel high off life every day and I can't explain to others how good I feel. Just the feeling keeps you away from normal foods
Its because your body is eating itself because your diet does not provide you with enough nutrients. You will become skinny and eventually very sick.
If you are supplementing with dairy/fish that will keep you healthy, for a little bit longer
Then you will be sick
Yes, except that I would say he IS eating normal foods, just not ones that weigh him down or slow him down. For me a diet of whole plant foods has been normal for about the last 10 years. ^_^
I have been eating this way for years, eat gluten occasionally and know its worth chopping it out.

True!! this is optimal for HIS body, for some people this diet might be far from optimal.
Maybe if you at a top 10 tennis player, could ask the same nutritionist. The diet would be different anyway. 😅
But now, Djokovic is the greatest. And it doesn't even make me sad to say it, it's the hard thruth. I thought nobody could dominate like Federer did between 2004 and 2007....was I wrong loll
My best still be Federer of course, he's a good ambassador of the sport. But in a total brute and beast mode athlete, Djokovic is climbing up there at the top of one of the biggest sportsman to ever practice a sport.

Really enjoyed this presentation, very coherent and interesting and your voice is very pleasant to listen to.
When I eliminated gluten, I got rid of all of my swollen joints. My hands, feet and knees were so swollen that it was difficult to walk, I couldn’t even pick up a glass of water with one hand. That was 30 years ago, now at the age of 58, I can tell when there has been gluten in something because the swelling comes back if I mess up.
Glad to hear you are better. It clearly shows gluten is inflammatory, maybe in most people? Because it tastes so good people don't want to think it is?

I tried the Djokovic diet earlier this year for about 3 weeks - it's actually not that difficult to follow and your taste buds / cravings for certain foods slowly disappear.
Depends on your fitness goals / physical activity choices though
So why did you stop?

Bullshit, bland food is a killer, you never stop craving some flavor.
I'm a long time vegan on a whole food plant-based diet, going on 18 years, I'm in my mid 50s and even though I am no athlete I always did some sports and especially dancing and for the last 12 yrs I have been a daily bicycle commuter. I burn calories, not as much as Novak but I still burn a lot of calories per day and activity and the whole food plant based diet one has been absolutely amazing for me, and I'll also mention it's as amazing for women starting pre menopause or menopause. I look much younger than my age, but most importantly I feel much younger too, or at least much younger than most people with a "conventional" diet/lifestyle. Granted I have never smoked and don't really drink either.

consider: not eating meat means a lot of cows would never have a life, and many are raised responsibly, in fields and ranges. Given that we all must eventually die, I'd choose a few days in a field over no life at all. There are over 600 variety's of meat eating plants and frankly, plants should be raised responsibly, too... so grow your own and support local farmers!

Spinach, chia seeds, quinoa, dates are all high oxalate foods that can cause kidney stones. Oxalates can be reduced by upto 60% by boiling in water. They can also be eliminated to a good extent by combining them with a good calcium source often found in dairy like curd or milk. Oxalate levels in spinach are insanely high and as far as I have read not recommended to be consumed raw. I really hope his kidneys are doing ok if he is taking all these 🙁.

Incredibly interesting video.
I don't know if I can take that plunge to eliminate all of those things, but how can you argue what the goat does?
You forget to mention that he had operation on his sinuses,so his problem with breathing didnt just improve with diet.
Good on him for embracing a smart diet. I eliminated sugars and red meat and eat mostly plant based (with eggs and occasional fish, chicken). I can definitely feel the difference. I wish I could cut out meat entirely but I am skinny and noticed I started losing weight, probably because of lower fat and protein intake.
That's a mistake. Red meat is the healthiest food by far, bar none. There's a reason why carnivore heals and gives life back to so many individuals. You should try it for a couple weeks or a month. I think you'd be surprised how much you've been lied to.
There are lots of plant proteins also. Lots of beans/lentils/quinoa/nuts/nut butters etc! There are many others! Good luck :)
And a healthy fat example is avocado!
A rather simplistic analysis. He's no doubt doing much more sophisticated biohacking behind the scenes.
